Seedsman Sponsored Grow: Peyote Wi-Fi By Beez

Here is a picture of my newly mixed batch of organic soil. This is a 40 gallon tote with 30 gallons of soil. I think I mixed it on the 28th of December. I checked on it today to see how it was looking and smelling. It has a light fragrance of malted barley and to me it looks like the top of the soil is starting to come alive. So to me it's looking to be on track and doing well.

It's looking like this Original Skunk #1 plant may be getting a temporary stay of execution. I've noticed her buds fattening up the last 2 or 3 days and as long as she keeps that up I'll keep her upright. As I've said earlier I'm looking forward to growing this strain in a batch of good soil.

I'm hoping @Pennywise sees this as I am sure he can answer this question. Are Chem Dog and Hindu Kush the parents of OG Kush?

Probably no Chem in OG, most believable story has OG being a bag seed from a Florida strain called Emerald Bud. Triangle Kush is most likely a sibling of OG from the same bag seed.

How did I miss this journal? Definitely gonna watch your progress! I have a few Peyote WiFi girls going, too. 109 days old today, 49 days since flip to 12/12. Hoping they'll be ready to harvest the first week of February. It's interesting, because I've had to use what looks like the same dowels you're using to keep the stalks from falling over. Get ready, because your buds are gonna get REAL FROSTY! :D:D:D

Please share some pictures @CrazyChef !! I would love to see what I can expect. How tall did your plants get? How far into flowering did they keep stretching? What size pots are you growing them in?

Sure! I have some older ones, but I wanted to take some more pics today anyways, so I'll post them here for you shortly.
How tall did your plants get?
Right now, they range from 18" to 30" tall. Weird, huh? I started to quadline them, so your heights will differ. When they got moved from the veg tent to the flower tent I quit the quadline training because there wasn't enough room to maneuver properly to keep up the LST.

I don't remember exactly, but I think the stretch lasted until the 4th week from flip to 12/12. I'm using 5 gallon fabric pots.

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing those photos. Looks like I might need to head down to the bamboo patch and cut myself some more supports. You figuring about 2 more weeks and then chop chop? And you're right, they are very frosty.

My two are at flip +21 days today. Measured from the top of the soil one is 50 inches and the other is 47 inches give or take an inch or two for both. One is in Promix and is being fed 6.5 grams of MC per gallon per feeding. The other is in organic soil and treated to some kelp meal tea and some ACT every few weeks as needed. They are both in 7 gallon fabric pots.

Yup, hopefully 2 weeks but probably not. Most of the trichs are cloudy, but no amber on the buds yet. I'm hoping they'll fatten up in this time. Might be 3-4 weeks though. The Seedsman site says 75 days in flower, and as of today, they're only 41 days into flower (49 days since flip to 12/12).

@CrazyChef If you think of it could you drop a post in here when you harvest your Peyote Wi-Fi? I would love to know how long you ended up letting them go. I typically look for just a little amber before I harvest.

You can also follow my journal if you like. I don't want to hijack your thread with all my pics.

I read your whole journal today actually. The trichrome photos right at the end are gorgeous. I may have to put the phone in my pocket and break out the Nikon and see if I remember how to use it.

I tend to use the AUTO and CLOSE UP settings 90% of the time. Occasionally I'll pretend like I know what I'm doing and use the manual settings. But when I had money I bought a fairly expensive (to me) Sigma 105mm macro lens and that accounts for most of the quality photos. I'm still trying to learn how to use it properly.
