Seedlings 1st: Black Cherry Punch, Laniakea, Lemon Thai Kush

Y Griega was always in 6's. But 3's are great for wild sativas. You can grow them untrained, flip 'em early. I did some Africans that way - worked especially well for the Durban/Ciskei cross - went to 5 feet naturally - pretty thing. Malawi was gorgeous, too.
When I get around to trying wild Sativas I think I would go with smaller pots. At least until I get a feel for how they function.

I will use 4x 10gallon pots they fit pretty well in my 5x5 tent
I think that is a really solid plan. I will most likely be in a 5x5 tent for this next run I just started as well.

My problem right now.....making me want to go with more plants in smaller pots is to have a look at a wider variety of the genetics I have and am interested in. This is only my 2nd indoor attempt and I am going off the breeders description and photos of other peoples plants online.

I have a 3x3 and will be getting a 5x5 very soon.....I would be very interested at this point to having a veg tent and flower tent going 24/7 for a bit using smaller pots (like 3 gallon or 5 gallon) to have a good look at different genetics....or run a larger number of the same strain to have a better look at phenotypes etc.....

When I find something I really like, I would most definitely move back to 10 or 15 gallon pots and do exactly what I have going on now. It would help me in the long run I think with selection.

That sounds like a Great plan Seedling. I totally understand wanting more strains and having two tents would be Great. I wish I had room for a second tent so I could keep the flow going. It would be nice have a few different strains stocked up for later enjoyment and meds

ive got two tents a 3x3 and a 5x5 and I did what you guys are talking about two years back and I loved it my problem was I like to go do things in the summer so I gave that part up but its fun taking clones and growing them out you can tailor to a plant after you've grown it a few times get them near perfect I could go on about it! :)

Yeah....well....I think I could try and quit anytime....I hope!

I am past three weeks of giving up tobacco....so I got some will power. My bong hits are easily double the size already. Pretty sweet trade off!

I might stop and buy a 10 pack of 5 gallon pots today and get another 4 seeds wet.....feeling like I should just do it now. Why wait?

Shit don't get done by waitin'.
Too True but some times all you can do is wait Lol like waiting on seeds to pop or waiting for a seedling to break the surface Then wait to flower then wait till it is ready to harvest. Some times I think all we do as growers is hurry up and wait shesh I thought I was done with that when I left the military NOT

Yeah....it was kind of getting to me thinking about waiting another grow to do a hunt style run...it is early enough to get it going now....gonna just go for it. One of the main reasons is that I want to see the difference between breeders. I am probably gonna go with some grannies oranges from rocky mountain high, and Black Lavender from Jordan of the Island....I get back home in a few hours....gonna pull out the seeds and make some picks.

I hate having to pick and choose I totally get what you was saying earlier about using smaller pots so you can run more strains. Dam these Seed Banks always tempting me Lol Too many strains and not enough space and time to run them all Dam it

Okie.... broke out my stash and grabbed a few choices.

Granny's Oranges from Rocky Mountain High 719 was a top pick. These were freebies from the IHG half pack deal. I have quite a few of these and dropped 4 seeds to try out. I didn't know anything about RMHSC before buying that half pack....but they were really great to deal with as far as communication and ease of ordering.

"Granny D (Chem D x (VA Beach Ghani x Hindu Kush) x Orange Flambe - 10+ Regular Seeds per pack - 55-60 Days Flowering period. Granny D is unreleased from Duke Diamond and a true representation of oldschool smoke. The mother used was very Hindu/Ghani dominate in structure and growth. With an underlying layer of Chem D terps, making her a perfect medicinal plant. This plant is great for those with anxiety... knocking you down with a heavy Indica stone. The Orange Flambe added some nice citrus terps as well as some fast growth and " bulk " to the Granny D. This plant makes true medicine!"

The next choice was also a freebie from that half pack order. From Freak of Nature Genetics....Grandpa's Breath x Fire OG BX2. I really don't know anything about these seeds at all, and I want to find out. Pretty sure they are regs....so I am gonna pop a few extra.

Third choice is the Black Lavender from Jordan of the Island. Another freebie......It is thier BlackBerry Kush x Lemon Larry Lavender from Big Buddy Seeds. No info on the JOTI site, but the LLL from BBS is listed as

"Lemon Larry Lavender by Big Buddy Seeds is greater than the sum of its parts. The stunningly flavorful cross of Lemon Larry OG Kush and Lavender offers sweet citrus aromas overlaid by velvety floral terpenes. With loosely sedative effects brought on by the Lavender and an elevated mental state from the concentration of limonene, Lemon Larry Lavender pairs perfectly with video games and movie nights with friends. Providing a bright mind and relaxed body, this indica-dominant strain is ideal for abating depression as well as minor aches and pains."

Some interesting stuff for me for sure....

those will be interesting to watch grow and flower!
For sure.....since jumping on Instagram I have gained interest in a lot of smaller breeders out there. I should have a couple packs coming from seedgodz....fingers crossed. I will be leaving the Frankenstrain train soon enough and doing some landrace Sativas in the not so distant future hopefully.

Okie....I am gonna need some feedback on the low and slow method aka "the lotus cure."

The threads I have been reading are really all over the place and I haven't found simplified instructions anywhere....except when I google drying herbs in the fridge, but there are some obvious differences with cannabis as we are trying to preserve whole flowers.

I wrote out in point form what I have gathered so far....and assume after the "dry" is complete it is a pretty straightforward cure in mason jars. Not sure whether that happens inside the fridge still or in a dark cool place outside the fridge....so any feedback advice is greatly appreciated.

Here is what I got so far.

Lotus method

▪︎Harvest plant removing fan leaves only
▪︎Bud wash and hang to dry until moisture from the wash is gone (roughly 4 hours.)
▪︎remove buds from the main stem and carefully place in paper bags (no more than half full. Fold over the open end and let sit in the fridge for roughly two weeks opening the fridge to check in the least amount of times as possible.
▪︎To check where the RH is at remove from paper bag and place into a room temperature mason jar with a hydrometer. Let sit for roughly 1 hour or until the reading settles. Once RH reaches 62% the dry is complete and the cure can begin.

That is close to what I did except for the thing about not opening the fridge the method I used says to open the bags each day and turn them, reposition them then right back in the fridge I left mine in there three weeks then used them for edibles. I had put DE on them while they were in flower Newb mistake but they made some good edibles this is the method I used
