Seedlings 1st: Black Cherry Punch, Laniakea, Lemon Thai Kush

Not sure about this dark chop thing. It's basically what I do but all I do is give them 24 hours of dark then open tent and immediately chop all plants at base.

:passitleft:

hehehe...coulda' swore you said no more seeds for a while... ;)...cheerz...:high-five:...h00k...:hookah:
I did....but the cost of these packs is too good. It's not like I am shelling out $100 or more...it is half that cost.

Plus I want to get a little collection of their stuff. Each purchase gets a free pack, so I am spacing out a few orders to maximize free packs. $65 every couple months is easy peasy. It's the other orders I need to hold off on. The ones where I am left with a big dent in the wallet.

Whew, no notifications and a really busy week and I find out I had 5 pages to catch up on...I have some shit to add, but in no particular order...lmao

Anyway, beautiful plants. I love to see them charging to the finish. Healthy plants ALWAYS make better produce. Also, I have been doing the "dry-finish" thing for years. Basically, I just recognize the watering intervals and as they slow, I'll try to get the harvest timing where a water/drench would normally be, and take the plant then. I try to take my plants down juuuuuust before lights-on too. That way the plant has had the entire night to eliminate all the available exudates and I take it before it really starts its morning uptake.

Low and slow is the best way. I hang and dry in my grow room closet. it's more convenient for me and in addition to having plenty of space in there, my 3 filters take care of all that stank. Temps stay steady at about 78f in there so a little too high. I would love to have a drying fridge, but I'm extracting 75% of my harvests these days so after 5 days in the closet they get squished and what's left gets jarred. My harvest is super-simplified too. I strip all water leaves and fans from the plant, chop it and hang it. I have several new unused full-sized trash cans (I used them once to hide all my plants for a home inspection for insurance purposes...lmao) I use to wash my plants. Fill 2/3 with RO, then at chop I drop the lemon juice and soda and dunk/slosh the whole plant and hang it in the closet once it's finished dripping. 5 days later I de-stem in a cardboard produce box. As I de-stem, I'll drop the colas on one side and everything else to the other. Colas get carefully jarred for a long cure and the rest gets squished

Man, I can talk forever...

:peace:

I was thinking of washing then let hange for a couple, maybe three days then into the fridge for the low and slow thing for a week or two then jar up the best buds the rest will go into edibles and Gel Caps I don't have a press YET. Sounds like you have a Great method. I need to learn more about drying, Low and Slow and then curing it in jars. I have only harvested once so my experience is limited at best. So much to learn but it is So Much Fun learning from you good folks here on 420mag

that's how I like to do it ill hang it for two days I like to let gravity pull everything down a little then into the fridge for the slow dry you will develop your own ways of doing it find out what works for you! :)

This pretty much describes what I have planned. I can't give much more dark period unless I throw the plant in my bathroom....but I don't think that's necessary. I am just gonna pull her like you said.....before the lights click on.

 I know this feeling....I had that happen about a month into my first grow. Luckily they were small enough I popped them into a chest I have. :nervous-guy:

It's perfect....I love hearing different methods. I have been considering buying 6 x 7 gallon pots and doing a little different style run to "try out" a bunch of different stuff. I plan on sticking to these Duggan style 4 plant monster grows, but I am dying to pop more seeds just to see some of the variety.

(Shh, don't tell anyone, but you can get away with growing DBHBB in pots as small as 3 gallons.) :thumb:

I've been growing in 6's.

I have seen your stuff......and it tempts me to go with more plants using 5 gallons.....but I didn't want to say it out loud!

After this next run I will be set up pretty good and don't necessarily need big yields. Doing a bit of a hunt for variety and experience would be a really fun one.

even your y/g?

Y Griega was always in 6's. But 3's are great for wild sativas. You can grow them untrained, flip 'em early. I did some Africans that way - worked especially well for the Durban/Ciskei cross - went to 5 feet naturally - pretty thing. Malawi was gorgeous, too.

At least for now I will use 4x 10gallon pots they fit pretty well in my 5x5 tent and I still have a little room so I don't have to keep taking plants in and out to get to them. 4x 15 gallon pots wouldn't give me any room in the tent to get to them. I will grow more strains in the spring in my greenhouse. I think I am going to take a page out of Stickys book and run Sativas in the tent it gets cold too soon to grow those 12 to 16 week flowering sativas out in the greenhouse but I will have some 15 and 20 gallon pots out there for them to get as big as they can. I just hope no one figures out what I am growing out there once they flower it starts smelling like I am breeding skunks all around the neighborhood Lol
