Seedlings 1st: Black Cherry Punch, Laniakea, Lemon Thai Kush

Howdy Seed & Gang :surf:

Been super busy so trying to catch up.
Great looking plants, nice work:high-five:

On the BCP seed are you seeing ambers only on the top colas?

Check the calyx and don’t worry about sugar leaf tips or anything that will be trim. Also loupe the mid tier buds and shaded trichomes. If u do see 10% amber at all these locations plus more % on the tops I’d say they are now ripe and at “peak” time to harvest. Either way I bet they could run 70d and be fire.

I’m just about ready to Cat my 8 flowering gals. They are at day 19 for the LemonKush and 21 for Maui’s. Never done the cats this early but I feel good about it. I will be using a lighter dose at 10ml per Gal.

The Maui’s also are light feeders and will show tip burn easily. I don’t even need to Brix em and they remain happy. I Brix them around every 10-14d where as the Lemon Kush are heavy feeders and never show tip burn with slightly higher drench dosing. Using 15ml per Gal on them and Brix every 7-10d.

I really like all your girls. Great job and yes please do the Low & Slow And Budwash. It makes a huge difference in the final product. The washing is so important to setup a even dry. Because the buds will be more evenly saturated then not washing. Also the drying in the fridge ensures a nice slow dry typically I see day 14-21 in there. Hang dry and no wash I can’t even make day 10.

All the best seed! I had a light go out so going to take it down and diagnose it. Have a great night Gang :green_heart:

As far as I know I am....and 10% might be stretching it. I am gonna let her go close to 56 days....I think she will be in the window and won't be too bad. I could also wait and see if I can take her with the Laniakea....but I like the idea of taking them one at a time and giving them the time they need. Also....less work and time than dealing with so much at once. I am not married to any idea yet and will just take it as it comes.

I will be all set up to wash and plan to do a 4 hour hang then into the fridge. With the space available and all deciding factors the fridge seems like the most logical choice. I have a mini fridge that should be perfect and I definitely want to preserve as much on these flowers as I can. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.....but I will probably be posting the process here to be on the safe side.

I also just remembered....I am gonna be trying a couple new things this harvest....I already mentioned Duggs trick of chopping with the lights off. The other is the "dry finish" I have seen @conradino23 talking about. Can't find the post using the search....but I did copy and paste the info a while ago into my notes.

"She's been on a dry finish, which is just keeping plant without water for the last 4-7 days. In effect and I confirmed it over and over the Brix will fly up and the smell is gonna get much stronger, which is how you squeeze out more terpenes by the very end when concentration is already high usually."

So the BCP is due for a straight water after the second Cat....then a GI...then she gets dried out and pulled. So my timeline will hopefully follow that pattern.

Yep dry finish :)

I got a good feeling about these Black Limes......super quick to start and looking super cute. The other two are still workin it out.

The LTK are finally starting to show some bulk and giving me an indication they are moving right along.....gonna be a beast of a harvest......two of those in a future grow is gonna happen for sure. I would like to see what those other seeds turn out like.

I thought we wanted a slower dry sticky....?
I found that conversation.....

Wow, thanks! That's a pretty intense convo. I may try one day....more powerful smell and terps being the goal. Although I've found low and slow is the method to beat here in that respect.

Like sticky kinda said....I don't think it has a negative impact like that cause the plant is still alive....it is a little stress causing her to push terpenes hard right at the end. I think that deterioration of Terps you are talking about begins once the plant is harvested. After chop the low and slow should work the same way....but I suspect it will take less time to dry since there is less moisture in the flowers to start the process.

The method of harvesting in the dark is pretty much based on the same principles of the "dry finish" I think.

Giving 24-48 hours of darkness and chopping with the lights off is meant to stress the plant which causes her to push more terps and increase potency, smell, and flavor.

Seems like everything is subjective on these methods where some people claim results and others can't see a difference.
