Scrog'ing Mothers Gone Wild

Day 10 of 12/12
The stretch is starting to show, I'm not going to tuck anymore and let them grow up vertical now. If the need arises I can tie stuff down. I'm more worried about the Purple Lemonade stretching than the Tropicana Cookies but we shall see.

Some of the leaves are slightly praying more than this some are less. However does this look like the leaves are starting to droop? I only gave them 1/2 gallon of plain water after the top 3" of soil didn't show moisture on a bamboo stick. That was Weds and the soil is still moist, definitely drying but not dry enough. I won't water them until it feels like things are dry again.

I haven't used the SIP's reservoir since Veg, and I don't know if I will fill it during flower now. Hopefully this will keep the plants in a much better state than my last grow.

Water day will be tomorrow. I will be adding my first to dose of BushDoctor CalMag along with recharge and another dose of Raw Silica. There isn't any CalMag spots showing but I want to stay in front of it. I may also add some more EWC and water them in as I didn't give any on my last top dressing.

It was a supplemented watering day for the girls. 1 gallon of RO water, 1 teaspoon of BushDoctor CalMag, 1/4 teaspoon of Raw Silica. Also after talking with @Gee64 in his Gee Spot thread I've decided to start adding the Gaia Green Power Bloom weekly rather than bi-weekly. This will be much easier to mix in and hopefully keep the soil from turning into a mud pit that dries into a rock.

Both girls are keeping their node spacing short and even across the canopy about 19.5" (50cm) from the light.

Purple Lemonade
This girl is starting to green up and leave the yellow behind . She's also well on her way to buds forming, not quite to the full puff balls but not far off from it.

Tropicana Cookies
This girl is full of bud sites. She's got very dark lush green leaves, fingers crossed this will result in a lot of dark purple buds.

Day 13 of 12/12

Gonna follow along. Came cause I seen you have that phlizon pro 2000. What do you think? Lol but you got a killer scrog going, so imma check this out if ya don't mind.
Welcome! Glad to have you along, this is my first Scrog and the more eyes the merrier lol.

This is the first grow with the phlizon pro 2000 and it seems to be doing great, it's directly over the Tropicana Cookies and that plant looks awesome. It runs a hair hotter than the Vivosun 200w at 65% but not much more noticeable. At 65% and 20" from the plant, I'm around 670ppfd on the photone app. I will be excited to see how the buds fill in with it.

I missed my canopy pic yesterday due to work/life just wearing me out lol nothing a little cone full of Jack47 and good music couldn't fix :ganjamon:. So today's I got early abot 30 min after lights on.

Purple Lemonade
These yellow leaves are really killing this plants vibes. The green parts are lush with great bud structures. The yellow are just lagging behind, they are trying to recover but it's going to definitely affect the end weight.

How much prayer is too much prayer? Is this too much?

Water/feeding day is tomorrow and the girls are def ready for a thorough watering but I need the soil dry to mix in the amendments.

This is a healthy "prayer" angle. I don't think they show signs of needing water tbh. Why don't you add the dry amendments and see how long you can go without watering? Like maybe another day or so.

Look, having said that, I am not a watering expert lol. I am looking at my Blueberry plant and trying to decide if it is wilty! Double check but I'd hold back on the water for a day or two if it were me.

So I'll be honest I have been using a small bamboo skewer, poking it into the soil and leaving it sit for a minute. It vaguely shows how far down the soil has dried and just by touching it I can kinda get the idea of how wet the soil is. The skewer came out dry as a bone last night. Based on the skewer I'm assuming that by the time the lights come back on tonight they will be ready for some water.

This could be the complete wrong way to go about it but I am very far away from being a watering expert lol.

They look a tad under watered. The leaves look just a tad parched to me. Under the screen it's kinda hard, but lifting the pots is the best way. Lift them when they're fully watered, and lift them every day, when they feel light, they need water. That's in plastic pots. If you're in fabric, you can almost water as much as you want. As far as top dress goes, no real need to scratch in. Just toss it down and water in.

Interesting, thank you. Yes I use the skewer test too and that sounds about ready. Incidentally, I was right about my Blueberry needing water. The wilt was a good indication.

Hi, I disagree about watering fabric pots. They are just as susceptible to being to wet as any other kind of pot. Wet is wet. Weed needs to breathe.

Some of us do scratch the dry top dress into the soil. I do it as a matter of course when I add EWC or top dress. I work it into the top layer of soil before watering, being careful of roots. I believe it is a beneficial practice. Gee64 advises working the top soil with the fingers to get a sense of tilth and to break down any crustiness that develops.

Ya these girls were placed in SIP buckets but for whatever reason they did not transition well to the SIP, got really over wet and picked up a deficiency. So now I top water them and they have been recovering slowly, not really a great idea to have a SIP setup and not use the reservoir but it is what it is.

As for the dry amendments I use I have to scratch them in or it turns the top of my soil into a mud puddle that the dries out haha.

I'm in living soil, so it's a bit different. Living soil in small pots at that, so I can see your point. I've done it many ways, whatever works.

Day 19 of 12/12
PXL_20240703_020534380.jpg

The girls got 4 Tbsp of Power Bloom and 2 Tbsp of Mineralized Phosphate. That was turned over a couple of times with the top inch or so of loose soil and then water in. The gallon of water contained 1tsp of BushDoctor CalMag and each girl got 1/2 gallon worth.
