Scotty’s 1st Promix Grow

So I recuperated from the national holiday,
Just tied down this larger plant again.

Love how fast it’s growing compared to the other two siblings, the only concern is that she might be male lol

But I may just grow her or him out, pollinate a plant if any are ready,
It’s got explosive growth compared to the other two. That i would like Bred into the next generation if able to lol they were germinated the same day.

So I also gently super cropped the little ones today also

Good afternoon Fellow growers.
So in my area it be pike 60 during the day, and like 45-50 at night, my question is if I brought idk for example this plant outside and left it out all week do you think it would survive them temperatures? Photo of plants I might want to bring out side
image.jpg

image.jpg

The first picture looks to be female
While the two in the second appear to be male.
Hmm maybe I should bring out the smaller male and see how he fares the nights, he can be my vanguard, as he is smaller then the other male, and was going to cull it soon any way.
This might be a better use for him. To see how plants do with the kinda cold nights.
Hmm @InTheShed i believe you might know when a temp might be to cold for outdoors, so imma tag you in here.

This might be of some assistance:

"Cannabis varieties react differently to cold, although below a median temperature of 12ºC they are universally at risk of death. As with water, which at higher temperature contains a lower concentration of dissolved oxygen, once the air cools to below 18-20ºC the plant's metabolism will slow down gradually and hinder or halt development.

"As the plant's metabolism slows down everything becomes much less active. The bio-chemical and enzymatic processes required for healthy growth cannot take place and vegetative vigour disappears leaving plants small and weak. The root system cannot function as it should, rendering it unable to absorb adequate nutrition. This will have an obvious negative impact on yields, leading to very small buds and vastly reduced production.

"As previously mentioned, low temperatures will detrimentally affect the root system and the uptake of nutrients, particularly in the case of magnesium. This micro-nutrient is vital for the proper development of the cannabis plant and if the substrate is colder than 18ºC then this element is most likely not being absorbed by the plant."

For conversion purposes:
12 C = 53.6 F
18 C = 64.4
20 C = 68 F

Your plants might survive the cold nights but they surely won't thrive.

Nice, thanks for finding that bit for me.
You always have such informative posts, I also like that you share a link as a source.
Well Let’s see how he fares the nights. Will check in here with a photo tomorrow

Okay. Night one, leaves look a little droopy this morning, other then that she looks totally fine, dropped to 47 last night.

image.jpg

yes those are Christmas ornaments weighing down the plant lol. They have been my go to for weights due to their varying sizes, and probably having been putting them on trees as a kid grew up and started using them year round for my pot plants sometimes lol

I’m sorry I’d not know pulling out the ornaments summons the snows. But there already up its to late now.
In other words yesterday’s lst turned into an accidental supercrop. Opposes.
image.jpg

But this male has already been super cropped before, he might be into that sort of thing, he’s a super freak.
image.jpg

Lol I might as well call this Scottys first male journalXD
And make another one just for the females,
But the females are kinda slow also.
So female hopefully c99 this morning added another weight lol
image.jpg

image.jpg

s he’s another weird one, I feel like on a genetic level she has problems,
But maybe because it was almost cut in half like 3/4 of the way and that’s why them shoots are growing straight from the base, might have forced two clones to sprout from the cut or something as it was in the sprouting stage from towel to clay. who knows,
Other female in hydro haven’t been taking care of her, just waiting for her to die as I am once again out of pot XD sooo
I before I share
I know I know,
I can take care of her a bit longer but, I’m outta pot soo the answer for me is this plant here:idea::laughtwo:
image.jpg

Looking sticky, she also into that weird bend into any shape I want to please me deal lol let’s take a closer look at her starting from the base
image.jpg

Pretty extreme right?
image.jpg
Kinda looks like some crazy fractal equation from high school XD hated pre cal.nooo I deleted my perfect photo I shoulda saved it here’s my recreation
image.jpg

Can see the base and the cola and all the stem in between lol. Whaat I promise this is not photo shop
Photo from above
image.jpg

I shall dub it the fractal training technique

Thanks, I hope so to, I feel like I might get an oz XD or 20g dry. For being unable to tend to it for a 5 weeks. I think it looks pretty well.
ithink it’s going on week 2 since I had my buddy last tend to it’s ph and stuff. I’m kinda scared to take a look under the hood myself.
But I guess I can do that tomorrow I know it’s all going to be messed up
But it’s been that way all month.
i hope this doesn’t become A habit. But I ordered more promix. So I can pot 3 more plants.maybe I’ll just ditch hydro all together I’ll see when my new pump comes in hope it’s quieter. Noise is blah

So night 2 survived,
Looks very green compared to the house plants I think?
image.jpg
image.jpg

the ornaments have been lifted. May add more tomorrow, build his strength, If there is such a thing.
image.jpg

Plant drank an inch of water in two days or evaporated there’s a lil water line above that hole there.

Houseplant day two for comparison.
image.jpg
image.jpg

Branches now growing, she is most likely female.

on to the big male
image.jpg

Still stretching,
image.jpg

Super cropped top also recovering it looks like.
Bottom of plants pots hole still covered in water.

Critical mishap, air pump no longer running, sooo.
As I utterly do not know what to do right now. To the best of my knowledge I’m going to give the Kratky method a go, or hydro with no oxygenation of the water or something like that.
so the idea is to have the majority of the roots suspended above the nutrient solution, with just the tips in the water as any more and the roots will drown.
I don’t really know how this is going to go. But why not.
It’s either it grows, or it don’t,

More hp is on the way but that’s going to be another week or two.
So idk. Hope this works.

Okay so it’s been two days since my pump died. Plants still look like they be growing so that’s good. Idk fer how long. Hope it continues.
But this is bugging me I feel like this plant has some genetic problem that it’s trying to kill off it’s twin or something it’s so weird. Poke look how split down the leaf is and it’s been going for a while now. Like that’s how the plant started till it separated that shoot I guess and now this shoot is continuing that separation again I think? It’s so strange idk. Maybe I smoke to much and overthinking it.
image.jpg
image.jpg
image.jpg
And then it has all these normal leaves.
image.jpg
image.jpg

And the flowering plant still kicking it also.
image.jpg

Here’s to hoping it continues growing to the both of them.
