Scoooter's Green Crack DWC LED First Grow - 2017

Ok got a question on LED's because many of these manufacturers, even the higher priced ones, claim 4x4 coverage but when you look at their uMols/PAR chart they only show 4-500PAR at center then very diminished 2ft out from center. All my research shows good PAR for veg at 350-450 and flowering for truly dense buds at 700 PAR minimum. That would suggest to me that you really need 2 lights that combined can produce 700 PAR at the OUTSIDE edges. Am I getting this wrong?

P.s. I have a second light for my 4x4 that I will be adding to achieve these numbers.

I have no clue as to the technicalities of it all sorry. I can say one thing though, I have recently bought 2 different LED panels. Both rated to be 450W HPS replcements according to the manufacturers. One cost me £120, the other £480. The cheap one is only just, and I mean only just, enough to veg under in my 3'x3'. Wheras I use the more expensive one in flower, over more or less the same area and its killing it.
Not sure if I can say the brands as they are not sponsors but they were both off amazon. Hope that helps for what its worth.

Pm me too plz. Altho I think it's not a problem to mention names. I don't know for certain but I've name dropped my nutes and lights both of which are not sponsors. I'm interested to learn ur findings for both cheaper and "expensiver" lights. Thanks.

Day 29
Well I started making my scrog screens and ran out of pvc lol. There's a pic below with the 3 I got done. It was just a test fit. Got about a foot more growth before I put them in. The screen is high enough to put my dehumidifier under it so I ran a test and with the AC got the tent at a steady 45% and 73F. Nice! It's off now and the Temp is 73F and 66%RH.

Prepped my water for tomorrow's change. PH'd to 5.6 then threw an airstone in one of the buckets. Two hours later PH 6.7. I knocked it back down and put the stone in another bucket. Crossing fingers this little trick works to stabilize PH before a change.

Leaves have shiny spots from the neem. Wasn't expecting that butI got over it lol.

Having a blast by the way! So much fun. I am not journaling the auto's grow much but they are coming along.

Peace!

Went with 4 singles for now in case I run into issues. Should be fine. I'll attach the lids to the screen with eyehooks and wire so they are one unit.

What size is the tent. 4x4?Those separate screens is brilliant. Why didn't I think of this.

Well.. It is SUPPOSED to be 4x4 but of course it is actually 44"x46" inside. Each one is 21" on the outside.
Saw this today and had to share after seeing your tent measurements.

OMG the sale price. I was dying, it was bang in the center at the top on the front page of my local grow shop site

Is par the only thing that matters. Cuz it puts out more pars then ur kind led.

Mine are the cheap King Plus. I did watch a video with the AP vs the Kind and it drew a ton less power but had equal output.

I think people are getting hung up on the Watts per sq foot thing but there's all different efficiencies now so uMols is a better standard. I emailed back and forth with Cody Oebels and he's using PAR for his grows.
