OK, sorry for no updates. I was busy with a harvest on my PE, setting up a couple of toys, and trying to stay caught up on here.
No pics today but a quick progress update.
Plants
THC Bomb in FFOF is dong well. Perky leaves and she stopped stretching. I wiggle her stem daily for a few seconds to stimulate her and get her the feeling of being outside.
GG in FFOF is short and stout. I know right now she's going to be a little bitch to train and keep clean. But in the end it'll be worth it.
THC Bomb in MGOS is just shorter of her sister. Right now she's sucking on the moisture below the surface and still has not had any water since she sprouted.
GG in MGOS (second seed) is just starting to pop. Looks like she's a winner this time round. She came up tap root first, and I noticed it right away.
To correct this, I used a toothpick and lightly moved the dirt away from her until I could see where the helmet was. Once I figured that out I was able to dig a small slit behind the tap and turn it down. Then I gently covered back the helmet. The following day, today, she is poking through correctly.
Why did this happen? I do believe it was because the soil on top was too loose. I read a post to loosely cover the seed and I did. Never did it before and it never happened before. I always lightly tamped the soil once the seed was down and cozy.
I'm thinking it went to the light but it's gravity as far as I know that tells which way for the plant to grow. So it's my only explanation for now until someone else can enlighten me.
Toys
Bought another AC Infinity T6 for tent #2. These are sweet units and I highly recommend them for tent lovers. You can hook up two fans for one controller in bigger setups.
The new units allow you to ramp speeds according to high limits such as RH or temps. As the RH or temp reach the set point the fan increases, as it lowers from the set point the fans slow.
RH Controller
Another member mentioned this RH controller from Inkbird. I forgot I had the humidifier on and when I got home from work it was 99%(most likely higher) inside the tent. The walls were soaked.
So the timing of the post was fantastic. I am using LEDs at the moment and with the controller I hit 65% and hold it there with the differential set to 10. So, off at 65% and on at 55%. No need to turn it on and off now with the lights.
This thing is sweet.
I'll have full pics up tomorrow for everyone.
Stay well!
