Hey Mr Sauga I'll pull up a chair if you dont mind:popcorn:
Not at all N420! Thanks for hopping on board! I'll have some new pic updates shortly.

Joining in here as well, I didn't realize you had another journal going!
Welcome JC! I felt like starting this one as my other is winding down and saves me from rushing around all at once :)

Day 3 Update

The final seedling, the GG in MGOS, has died, or is playing dead really well. This one had the dual tap root so I'm not sure if it had anything to do with that or not. She popped above the ground yesterday and hasn't moved from that position since.
So we dropped another GG seed in the water and should have it in the soil by tomorrow night.

The THC Bomb in FFOF started to take off as soon as she seen the light. I had to drop the LED to 34" to stop the stretch she was about to take.

The other THC Bomb, in MGOS, is also taking off fast. In comparison to the GG in FFOF, the GG is slower to grow height wise and most likely because it is Indica dominant.
The MGOS soil is slow to dry as well. I didn't plan properly using the mix. I would have liked it to be dry before using then add in the moisture. I have no control this way.

And finally the GG in FFOF. Both plants in FFOF will be getting some drink tonight. I'll take pics of the pattern around the stem for those interested.

Day 4 Update

Today is a quick update. I'm finally able to show the watering around the stem on the THC Bomb. It's also the one taking off with the fastest growth.

The THC Bomb in the MGOS looks dry, but it's not. The soil is still quite moist below the top so she wont be getting any water soon.

The GG in FFOF has a smaller ring around it, as it's a slower growth then the THC Bomb.

Finally, I planted the new GG in the MGOS today. It soaked in water this time, about a cup, and a tsp of H2O2. Once the tap came out after about 16 hours it went straight to soil. No paper towels this time.
I'm reading things about bleaching agents in paper towels that may affect seeds, so to be safe I went this route.

And a group shot!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Clocks go ahead next weekend for us DST'ers, which is another sign that Spring is right around the corner!

Morning mr.Sauga, looking good in the tent brother, I've got my GG waiting in the wings now as my 1st attempt I had 2 on the go and they had just started back doing up nicely when I noticed a caterpillar ( 1st time for everything ) so I sprayed with a garlic concentrate specific for bugs but won't be doing that again as burnt them to bits sadly, down to the stem of the bud any form of pistils was non existent.
Lesson learnt move on I say...lol

My brother grew out green crack by fastbuddz awhile back and it was a most electric euphoria was pleasantly surprised to be honest. So going to be doing that again for sure.
I've been after dark devil for awhile now but it eludes me still, so I got the black cream auto by sweetseedzz as I'm craving a purple strain ( and purple rocks is my no1 color..haha ) it's caramel creamxdarkdevil so that's going to be tops I reckon...

Have a good evening.

Always good to hear from you Smeegs. I hope you haven't been rustling any bad guys lately. Ya don't need no visit to the hospital.
Sorry about the GG. I know you like the home remedies and sometimes it is a learning curve as you said. I do have to admit you have some fine sounding strains lined up. I'm looking forward to hearing and seeing how that goes!

Keep well brutha!
:ganjamon:

 I'm tagging along. I'd really like to see what FF can do against MG. I see alot of mixed opinions about FF, but the batch I got seems very consistent, and looks great. MG was a kingpin for years, but we'll see if that changes. Best of luck!

Hi Captain and welcome aboard! Thanks for tagging along.
My last grows were in FFOF and I have had no problem either. The Pineapple Express in my other journal has both MG and FF, and the MG performed better. However the test parameters were not that equal, so this grow I have tighter parameters and it should be a more reliable comparison.

I hope you are sitting down mr.Sauga, I do enjoy my home remedies, growing in the ground and growing with soil in a pot is diffrent ball games...hahaha
I've decided to branch out and attempt coco/perlite which I've had going for about month now, have a bunch of clones going and they doing rather well as I've decided to do indoors properly now with winter approaching as summer fades.... Smeegs new adventures......:meatballs:

OMG Smeegs that's terrific... I think :hmmmm:
It's going to be a great experience for you and can only make you a better grower all around. It's great to have backup experience when you need it.
:goodluck:

Nah it's terrific mr.Sauga it's been a long time coming, I've always skirted around indoor growing with my jerky box last winter and ended up carting them inside and out everyday to get extra light so never really amounted to much, so doing it by the book shall I say this time round...

OK, sorry for no updates. I was busy with a harvest on my PE, setting up a couple of toys, and trying to stay caught up on here. :)

No pics today but a quick progress update.

Plants
THC Bomb in FFOF is dong well. Perky leaves and she stopped stretching. I wiggle her stem daily for a few seconds to stimulate her and get her the feeling of being outside.
GG in FFOF is short and stout. I know right now she's going to be a little bitch to train and keep clean. But in the end it'll be worth it.

THC Bomb in MGOS is just shorter of her sister. Right now she's sucking on the moisture below the surface and still has not had any water since she sprouted.
GG in MGOS (second seed) is just starting to pop. Looks like she's a winner this time round. She came up tap root first, and I noticed it right away.
To correct this, I used a toothpick and lightly moved the dirt away from her until I could see where the helmet was. Once I figured that out I was able to dig a small slit behind the tap and turn it down. Then I gently covered back the helmet. The following day, today, she is poking through correctly.

Why did this happen? I do believe it was because the soil on top was too loose. I read a post to loosely cover the seed and I did. Never did it before and it never happened before. I always lightly tamped the soil once the seed was down and cozy.
I'm thinking it went to the light but it's gravity as far as I know that tells which way for the plant to grow. So it's my only explanation for now until someone else can enlighten me.

Toys
Bought another AC Infinity T6 for tent #2. These are sweet units and I highly recommend them for tent lovers. You can hook up two fans for one controller in bigger setups.
The new units allow you to ramp speeds according to high limits such as RH or temps. As the RH or temp reach the set point the fan increases, as it lowers from the set point the fans slow.

RH Controller
Another member mentioned this RH controller from Inkbird. I forgot I had the humidifier on and when I got home from work it was 99%(most likely higher) inside the tent. The walls were soaked.
So the timing of the post was fantastic. I am using LEDs at the moment and with the controller I hit 65% and hold it there with the differential set to 10. So, off at 65% and on at 55%. No need to turn it on and off now with the lights.
This thing is sweet.

I'll have full pics up tomorrow for everyone.

Stay well!

Morning mr.Sauga I'm def going to try the seed placement with taproot they way you have mentioned as I do it tap root down so I have a fair share of helmet heads but I'll do a comparison next seed drop see who pops out first and whether any vigor is lost in early growth...

Got a new strain called purple quack yesterday in my wheelings and dealings with another breeder, it's a cross of purple Kush auto and the duck foot strain all regs so they will be entering my wicked lab one day when I have some free space...

Have you ever heard of ABC, Australian bastard cannabis, it's quite the funky looking strain. A local lass on social media here at home posted a cpl pics of her grow with it and the buds start out looking like Brussels sprout type nugs ( at least to me it does ...lol ) but then develops into little cauliflower looking nugs...... Very interesting I reckon, but she doesn't want to share sadly as it was gifted to hear and asked not to give out so have to respect the ladies wishes......

Have a good day brother...

Somehow missed the start of this one Sauga, all caught up. Congrats on the MOTM!
Hey Stirstick... no problem at all. Glad to have you aboard!
Thanks for the kudos as well. Much appreciated! :thanks

Hi Smeegs,
I have to say I have not, but you bet your ass before the night is over I will have :)

Damn seed died again Broke soil then died. Didn't even get her ahead above, just the stem leaning out as it was trying to straighten up.
I think these GG, or most of the five, are duds. The last one didn't sink in the water as they normally do, but had a longer tap. Then the tap came out first.
Round three is in the jar!

The inkbird controllers are sweet! I’ve got 2x of the temp and humidity controllers for my tents! They work fantastic and I wouldn’t grow without them now! I’m interested in that Infinty 6 though sounds interesting!

Glad your 2nd GG seed popped and is doin good! Hope your well today my man!

Well look at it this way. At the rate your seeds are germinating you'll have an accidental perpetual grow. ;)

Hi everybody!

Day 9 Update

Here's a pic of the THC Bomb in FFOF. I gave her a small dose of food to get her going a bit. The ring of water was pretty heavy and goes down deep. I'm trying to slowly get the whole pot wet over a period of time while not overwatering the plant.
For feed she was given 500mL of water at 210ppm .5g of MC and .1g of kelp extract. pH was 6.5, and the PPM was heavy overall at 600. I don't recommend a PPM this high to anyone this early, but it's an auto and I'm trying to get her beefed up fast. It's really an experiment for me. The water is far enough away where I don't think it'll be too much of an issue. We'll see soon enough.

Next is the other THC Bomb in MGOS. this is the first time she has had a little water, mixed with the same nutes as her sister, above.
She's trying to catch up in growth and was a day later above the soil, so I may prop the sister on a stool and raise the lights a bit to help her stretch.

Finally we have GG in FFOF. Short and stout. I'm not sure if it's a characteristic of hers or not, but I gave her a bit more water closer to the stem as she seemed droopy. Normally I would say overwatering but the pot was never moistened from the beginning and she never had a lot of water to begin with either. Straight water, no nutes for her yet.

Pics of Fan and Controllers

The first pics are of the T6 fan hanging inside the tent and the controller outside. This unit is super light and is easily hung, or mounted on studs as they recommend.

The next pics are the RH controller and the probe. The controller lower readout says zero. It's actually the setpoint of 50.0 but the flash wiped out the first digits. Like Ducthcie said, these units are awesome. I'll be buying another for the dry tent since my low 'n slo dry fridge is filled to capacity.

OK, that's it for this update. Stay well everyone! :Rasta:

If you're looking for the easiest way possible to win a MARS light then you need to go here and enter!
:goodluck:

I was looking at those rh controllers on amazon as well . I see they have a combo temp meter and rh meter together for under $100. You and dutchman gave them such high praise I will have to pick one up for myself soon.
