SanibelGreen's LED/Bubbletronics Grow (1st)

Hey Sanibel, im using the GH flora grow, micro, and bloom and still get cal. mag. deficiencies. Just wanted to let you know before you go out and buy a whole new line of nutes for that reason. BUT your right they do mix into the res. with no effort or straining involved. from everyones talk about cal-mag it sounds like one of those products that is a must have to grow healthy plants. I remember OGD swearing by the stuff and his plants were phenomenal. Got my bottle showing up in the mail tomorrow

:goodluck: Goodluck brotha, hope you get everything sorted out soon. Looks like we may harvest around the same time if we can keep the pests and defficiencies at bay. :peace:

Sanibel, I really worry if you got 100% completely rid of those spider mites and their eggs.

Sanbelgreen!

Doctor Who here friend! I am giving a try out of Flora mite a spider mite killer' 5 drops to 1 qt covers a 10' area and plants, effective for up to 28 days kills mite's and hatching egg's, kills mite's on connect and egg's as they hatch! an stop using it 7 days before harvest. I am trying it out on a plants that I adopted that is flowering and is covered with spider mite's! I'll will post the results in a fews days once I see some, just used it today.

I have had great success with Azamax. It's organic, and OMRI listed. Takes 3-5 applications but it takes em out. I apply day 1, day 4, day 8. I have tried the directions of every 10 days or so and a mite usually hides out by then so thats why the shorter schedule.
I don't worry about bugs too much that's life. There always going to be around, and thats why they make sprays. Dogs, cats, clothes, shoes, people, wind and so on, all transport bugs so don't let it worry you to death. Just treat it with the proper stuff.
I have used Ed Rosenthal's herbicidal spray (seems very diluted to start with) with very very limited success, as you'd be better off using water.

Safer 3-1 is another product that works, and it is a fungicide also.

Have no idea about flora mite. I've used Azamaz with great success. Hey I'll try to help anyone. I won't just throw a link up to a tutorial or tell you to use bug sprays as a preventative, I'm just more of a natural person. I grow veggies outside and I don't go spray the whole yard or neighborhood down with bug killer, so why get carried away inside. If a problem arises deal with it. Kids are getting shot at schools, so put pest issues into perspective and deal with it, don't throw everything out and start over.

Not a tutorial just a for your info post , and only an opinion! Hmm like yours! and only trying to help to! If I said through them out I meant only if real bad like getting in to the buds, or if not bad separate the plant from the rest, but your right about the bug preventative not a good deal! but sometimes that's all you have to fall back on as a last resort Or through them out if they move in to the buds during flowering! sorry but man! Bro! that statemant sort of makes me sound like some kind of pesticide terrorists, I'll have to change my ways or something!

Sanibelgreen I most apologize for Hi jacking your thread though it's only a few posts I am truely sorry friend,

My apologies it will not happen again.

looks like nute burn 2 me

actually now that i look at it more....some looks like nute burn and some looks like a deficency

Been using half strength nutes all week to add in recovery, so being that there is or around a quarter of full nutes in there nute burn u dunno might be in the equation from picture evidence in the problem forum it looks like a combined cal and mg def reason u will be getting calmag shortly :)

wat nutes are u using cus to me it seriously looks like nute burn....is there a smell in ur res what do ur roots look like? brownish or anything? and honestly with LED lights i wouldnt worry bout the light being to close cus LEDS dont get hot....and dont put off overalll heat....so in this position i would look more toward nute problems....i know uve been being light but u might at this point to save them want to just go straight ph'ed water for a couple days till them come back...u could do alil bit of h2o2(hydrogen peroxide) but at this point in growth i probably wouldnt do that....if i were u id do just straight water ph corrected and let them get their strength back.

Alright no discolor perfect white roots, smell is of clean water and roots with plenty of bubbles. Stealth hydro powder nutes which I am starting to dislike and rather have liquid nutes like u said in previous posts, hydrogen peroxide I know us not a great option. Reason I put a small amount of nutes in is because like everyone knows everyones water is different and u know I am suffering from a def, don't have to tell me that lol calmag will be here soon for that and led he's can be a problem 120 degree coverage means that almost all four lights can hit a plant I also come home to 85 degree temps smetimes which will be taken care shortly because I am going to by a blower and install vents. Tb water temp is fine. Anything else lmk....

NUTE BURN starts with small yellow tips on the ends of the leaves, they get crispy, on the upper parts of the plant.

Indeed rose, also thanks for the extra insight besides the post and I agree totally. Just trying to figure it out without losing my head. :)
