Sam's Fall & Winter Grow 2018

Well looks like I am going to miss my window to quad these guys. Back in the hospital and wont be out this week. Maybe this weekend. Looks like it's going to be some weird hybrid training by the time I get back at them. Either that or scrap them and start over when I get stable.

Thoughts anyone?

Awww man! Sorry to hear your still in there! Did you have a worse attack? I hope your on the mend!

They aren’t ready to quad yet so I think your fine. Think your wife could top them for you? Lol She’s doing a great job so far! If she does that, then they should grow out the main branches more and should be ready for tie downs after you transplant in a week or so. Mine just got transplanted from their solo cups and I’m just finger training them still

Even if you get to the quads a little late, you can do it:) They just get a little woodier so extra gentleness will be required #notmystrongsuit

Get well first though ok:)

I'm in! A few new journals are up and running so that is exciting. Sorry to hear about the recent trips to the hospital! That's no fun. You can top them down to the same node you were going to originally when you get out. The roots will keep developing nicely and the plant will recover quickly. Doubt it would put you more than a week or few days behind. The roots are what are important at this phase anyways. I've had great success quadlining this way and have even recommended it to people if they have enough time to do so, but it does set you back a little ways in time. I think you should give it a shot before you just decide to scrap things. What's the worst that could happen, you don't like it and then you scrap it? See what I mean? Looking forward to seeing you get back on your feet and onto showing people great looking plants.

yeah things took a turn for the worse and I have to have a temporary full time upper GI Bi-Pass in. Eating through a tube for a few months. That is scheduled for today so hopefully I am out of here on Friday.

You're correct they are not there yet but close. I would be were you are with the transplant and hand training by now but it is what it is. nodes are way to tight to ask the wife to make that call on where to cut.

I am going to plod ahead with this one. If I can get my hands on the little bastards in the nexet 3-5 days I should be good. Timing on this grow is not a factor It takes what it takes. I am stocked with product and cold weather is coming. Thanks for the encouragement.

Made it home finally. Plants look like a mess but I will work on that tomorrow.

Gotta get used to my new food hookups. Nice to let The nurses muck with it. The one is for the grub and the other for lab draws. They dump directly into left ventricle of the heart. Not a lot of slop for an oops. Only 6 more weeks of it.

PS...... my meds Are way better than the hospitals crap. :)

Thanks for all the well wishes. I had an exhausting day getting the girls trimmed up and transferred them into their 3 gallon pots. They were pretty much a mess and root bound. I probably took to much off but In had to clean them up. They were pretty root bound in the solos so I expect them to bounce back In a week or so.

OK let's try to bring this thread back on topic. So as I stated these little guys had way too many nodes that were very tight and the plants were neglected/root bound so I had to chop the crap out of them. The tops went way past the 4th node and the nodes were under developed because the plants were growing up not out. Zero training at this point.

I topped them after the 4th node, removed the first and second node along with any unnecessary fan leaves. That left me with the weak start of a quad. It will take a little bit for them to shift the growth from up to the 4 remaining nodes. They were transplanted into their final 3 gallon fabric pots pre-loaded with 1/3 strength nutes and liberal amounts of great white in the holes for transplanting.

Once they settle in I am hoping that they start to get with the program. I delayed them a bit so I will be patient. Back left we have the Blue Dream, back right is Sour Diesel, left front is the Raspberry Cough and front Right is the Amnesia Haze.

So I tied the little bitches down and upped my nutrient schedule to a more vegetative growth program listed below. The starting volume of water is at set point on the Lowe's buckets I use. I haven’t really measured what that is but it’s close to 5us/gal.

Starting water conditions are PPM @ 150-180 PH @ 7.8 (This will drop as the temps outside do)

6ml PH down to get to 5.8 They say you don’t have to with the nutes I use but I like starting there anyways.
2.5-3ml Cal Mag to 200ppm (I only use a little because of the coco geared nutes)
35ml Sensi Grow Perfect PH Coco part A
35ml Sensi Grow Perfect PH Coco part B
25ml Silica Blast

Total PPM’s are at 850 with nutrients only making up 650 of that number.

So here are the girls under new bondage

Blue Dream

Sour Deisel

Raspberry Cough

Pour little Amnesia Haze lagging behind.
