Not sure - you just gotta find the right ratio! Work out the volume of the smaller buckets, then scale down the amount relative to that
 
Tip on free buckets, find a Chinese or Mexican restaurant they use 4 gallon plastic square buckets with handles from a food service vendor.... check out back!

just make sure your buckets are clean and have not been used for diesel fuel. paint or motor oil etc

i just do a brief bud soak 3 to 5 minutes per bucket but whatever washing ingredients up you feel most comfortable with Ms Midwest

The trainwreck... My northern blueberry has some coming in as well but on top and not on amnesia... Lol maybe they'll be faster then this gsc its been slow motion for her lately :rolleyes:
 
Shoot they just went to bed... Im honestly trying to stay out as much as possible because i just want to smoke it.. Its got so many white hairs yet and I've been told weeks yet.. I may make it a few more days before i end up cutting one to dry and have... I promise first thing when they or i wake up

Bucket D will have Vodka, fresh lime and Soda water and maybe a sprinkle of Aperol if you feeling like you want to get funky.

I just breezed thru the journal and thought I would share my recent experience with the
“ Low Slow Drying Method “ .
I harvested 6 plants ( 3 varieties ) over a 3 week period in my garage. In stages.
My grow room out there is a very controlled space but the garage itself had high humidity and relatively high temps during the harvest.
I was harvesting in stages so I couldn’t use my grow room to dry.
I bought a cheap used fridge for the garage.
I also saved a bunch of glass jars w/ good tops and lots of paper sacks from grocery store.
Ordered 62% Bovida packs .
1. Harvest
As individual colas reached maturity ( 90% pistils dark , majority of trichs very cloudy w/ 15% amber on buds ) , I cut 8” to 10” long. I start this first thing when lights come on.
2. Washing
I prepared 4 buckets
1 pint Hydrogen Peroxide In 5 gal of my well water
1 pint of lemon juice and a cup of baking soda in 5 gal of well water.
5 gal of hot tap water
5 gal of cold well water
I cut each stem 8” to 10” so I can dip into buckets without hitting sides or bottom of bucket.
I dip each 15 to 20 times in each bucket and
I immediately hang each piece on a line .
So , I cut one , trim off the big leafs , wash it and hang it , only touching the cut stem thru this operation.
This reduces damage to the buds.
Every time we touch a bud during harvest , dry , cure , we are to some extent damaging the merchandise. Handle with care.
I have a fan blowing directly on these wet hanging buds for about 4 /6 hours.
Once the obvious water is evaporated , I fill the bottom of a paper sack w/ the cut stems and buds.
and fold flat ( loosely flat not smashed flat ) and place into fridge.
At one point I had a dozen of these bags on shelves in the fridge.
Every morning , I take out each bag , open it and gently turn each piece over.
By day 5 , I start taking samples of buds and place in an open jar , Outside fridge for half an hour.
After the jar and bud have warmed up I place a lid w/ hydrometer and leave for half an hour.
Once I am getting RH readings between 68% & 70% , I remove product from bags , trim and place in open jars back into the fridge. This slows down the drying significantly but gives me more control.
My first bagged product almost dried below 60% over night from 70%.
Be care full in paper bags , especially after 7 days.
Now the open jars in fridge , I take out and let sit for about half an hour.
Till jar feels warm and condensation is long gone .
I screw on lids with hydro meters for 30 minutes.
I am looking for 64%/65%.
Once that RH is reached ( 2 to 5 days ) I remove from the fridge , add the tightened lid , the lidded bottle goes to my cure closet.
74* / 60% RH. Dark w/ a fan blowing .
Initially I burp in the morning and evening and I rotate the buds in the jars .
After the RH gets near 62% , I burp one time in the morning .
By week 3 of drying , and consistent 62% RH , I place these contents into turkey bags w/ hrdrometer in air tight 5 gallon bucket . Another dark closet for long term storage.
I have one bucket now with about 16 oz ( 3 bags ) stored and have opened twice in a week , to burp and check on humidity. All 3 bags are reading 62%.

I went with these pots cuz they are self watering and just in case i go outta town for a night or three they wont have what happened last time lol
 
I also have a smaller hydrometer coming tomorrow i picked up a case of 12 oz jars so smaller and easier. I see more amber today so its gonna be any day/week yet... Just waiting for hairs to tangle up and get red
 
Haha i was had it all typed and then my phone did something stupid and i had to go back online and then it erased my whole essay lol now its a sum up. Add water normal for a week then you add water from the bottom shown in pic and let water evaporate up. I've still been watering on top for the 2 week olds maybe in 2 more weeks i wanna get one more nute feeding in. Im just using the geoflora veg on those and bloom for gsc.

I do like to add some tiny holes on the sides of it to let air in. I liked the fabric for that reason. But with auto the roots dont have time to spread so far
 
It was unplanned but my branch i had hurt awhile back csme down last night... It was my fault and it had actually fixed itself but meh I've moved on. Ive had in the jar in the fridge with the hydrometer it finally is at 62% after 24 hours again not a super big branch... Now should i leave it for another day or 2 at the humidity its at then close the lid and burp it a few days? At this point its like a fuck it i wanted something to smoke without buying something so ill just use this one till the rest gets done

If at 62% in the fridge , I would definitely get the jar w/ tight lid , out of fridge and into a dark closet.
Burp in the morning for just a few seconds and rotate the jar so buds move around a bit .
The fridge will dry it to much at this point.
I found taking them out of fridge around 65% give me a little room for curing process.
Don’t let the contents of jar get below 58% or so. 62% is sweet spot but it needs to cure for a couple weeks . It is smokable ( dry enough ) at 62% .
If RH drops to 60% only burp every other day.
So check RH every morning when u burp.
The dry room should be in low 70s temp wise .
