Salt N Pepa: Back Again

Whatever, you two! You both have massive, happy plants! :p
Hey now i just saw ur girl and she has super fat buds... Dam all that hard work is gonna pay off!!!

I am seeing some amber on the very top closest to the light so it might work out perfect. I only added half of what they said to just because i wasnt sure what i should do... It might have been the wrong thing but what can ya do... It should be right on mark with the 13/14 week harvest

Everything you've said sounds good, MWG!

Personally I wouldn't worry too much about flushing. There are a lot of people here in the #noflush club.

As for autos not getting to amber, I think this isn't true?

Well done on getting through the whole low and slow thread, lol. It took me like a week?

:cheer: :surf:

Idk lol it probably is... It was just some random thing i found online. They said its not that you dont want them but to look at the leaves of autos when your plant pulls all the nitrogen and leaves start to fall thats when you harvest... But again idk and now that i see some amber im def gonna hold off... I will search that because honesty she might be ready in a week not 2

Hey Midwest,

Whats happening? Cruising by yours for a look see.

Your day 82 photo is sweet... that look tasty, and as I scrolled thru your pics the elf shot me the bird!

I’ve read when your buds get down to 55 rh it’s game over. No, nothing is ruined, it’s still good produce. But if the Rh dips below 55 the dry cure thing is done. Do not pass go - do not collect $200. Yes they can be rehydrated or not - up to you, but the chemical process has stopped. Put them in a jar or my personal fave and probably yours too...... destroy all the evidence in a series of small fires!

Here’s another one InTheShed No Flush Club #1

Word on the street is breeder estimates are optimistic and based on the early side of the harvest window. From marketing perspective kinda makes sense. If Breeder Seeds says there buds are ready in 10 weeks but Stealthy Seeds says theirs is done in 7 weeks - which ones are you gonna buy?

Seems I hear a lot of peeps say kinda figure on adding 1 to 2 weeks on to breeder estimates but of course watch pistils & trichs as you count off weeks. If there are fresh fluffy pistils then she’s still growing!

I’ve never heard that autos do not turn amber, I assume you read that somewhere but agree with Syenite - something smells fishy. But if you can repeat your steps I’d love to see a copy & paste of that for context.

in the words (gregorian chant) of ace Ventura..... allllllll rightey then!

I will do my best it was like the link in a link in a link in a link kinda thing. It was not by any means someone that seemed to be a professional at least not growing. One day i may stumble upon that rabbit hole. They are not to dry that i do know. It was just a tester bud so the jar i had it in wasnt getting a good reading. I am glad i found the no flush (thank you sy) pages. Something just doesnt seem right though lime when i look at other peoples pictures buds start filling out and the hairs sink into them... Mine are not like that at all they have no solidness to them and the hairs are still super long. Im glad to hear that about the breeder thing lol i feel like 14 weeks has been general with others who grow his stuff... I have my racks all set up for my low and slow dry. Frige sits at 40f and between 51 and 55% but when i add the buds im sure it'll go up if not a cup of warm water will do just right. Now im off to read dr. Z's bud washing stuff so i can learn how to do that...

Whew.... Who would have thought no humidity was a bad thing... Its been nice but that means too hot in my bud room... I hate saying this but im ready for some colder temps. She grew better being 77 then 81

No, I get ya. I'm worried about summer for sure! Thankfully summer here is still pretty mild. But yeah I do worry about the heat in the grow space!

With RH in fridge, if you think the buds are drying too quick you can stick them in paper bags or in mason jars. You probably saw some of that in the L&S thread.

Hahaha now its at 30% i feel like that will change with the buds in it

I did i am following a lot of sweetsues posts it sounds like she knows my pain amd struggles and has great fixes

Lol ooops i should have said fridge. Im starting to see her fluff out more so thats a good sign. Trying to keep ot under 80 in the room their in is difficult but im managing. Im just in debate do i wash or just the rinse in 3 buckets like you had said in the other post.

Hmm I'm not sure what the difference is between wash and rinse

I dont either. Im only leaning towards wash because i did have to use the pest soap stuff but they dont look dirty just debris from around. I swear all we have is construction going on its like a dust bowl but the air is wet so it just goes everywhere. Again not dirty they have their own bedroom but i feel like its proper to give her a good wash down. I also would rather just do water not mix 3 dif buckets of shit. 013 just does a quick dunk i believe and doesnt seem to have issues. Im nervous with our mold levels high and with how damp it is that i will unkowingly expose the plant and so im on the line of just do the baking soda lemon juice mix... The hairs are finally starting to twist into the buds making it not look so hairy lol

I do like the more energetic high so maybe I'll cut some of them snd leave the rest for the next week and a half until the trichomes turn that amber and the hair is all curled

Bucket A
In bucket A, you will need warm water, not too warm, around 20°c is fine. For every litre of water in your container, add 2 teaspoons of Baking Powder, and 2 teaspoons of Lemon Juice.

The 2 will work together to help break down dirt and other contaminants off your buds, but will not dissolve or break off the trichomes.

Bucket B
In bucket B, you will have just warm water, again around 20°c, but with nothing added to it. This bucket will be used to rinse off the water from bucket one.

Bucket C
Bucket C will have cold water in it. This is the last bucket and it is used to ensure everything has been washed off the buds.

Ok i finally got something. I didnt want to go buy 5 gal bucketa and i know some people just use whats around thw house so here is how much stuff you need for smaller buckets

Is this like early flower? Or is this at all normal?
