LOVIN your OG tackiness! producing some excellent trichs right thur purps is looking glorious as well- starting to look like everything is falling into place and set up like a BOSS :]] are you gonna defoliate with the plants under your screen?? juz curious. can hardly wait to see how much fatter your OG's get bro, great plants- looking VERY healthy
your max and min room temps are looking GREAT, pretty stable is something im really having to dial in with my tent... with my cooler its making things much more stable but i def need a good A/C unit asap... and prolly some good LED's to sort out any heat issues.. either that or just some damned cooltubes or reflectors!. i could get one(=A/C) this time round but i think i'll be cutting into my budget so im juggling the idea back n forth in my mind- altho, its only a 600$ investment, which is fuck all considering some of the setups ive seen here at 420... i really dont wanna have to go out and work this winter as i got my new boy due any day now! would be cool to support the mrs and grow my girls all at once so put in the hard yards now and just handle-the-jandal until next harvest? or get the A/C and see how shit turns out loL... 'man up boy!!!' is what is going through my mind loL damned mind knows me better than myself ;p
so how are things panning out with the stability of your electricity?? when do you think you could get that RDWC up n running??

Speaking of T5's...

What sort of spread do you guys see with your 8 and 12 bulb setups? I'm gonna be buying some for my veg area soon. I want them to cover a 3' wide area by about 10', so I was thinking of getting 2 8 bulb units and putting them end to end. Would 12 bulbs cover the 3' width better? OK obviously it will be better, but do you think it would be overkill?

you would have a issue fitting in a 3ft space, if you did it would be VERY snug myn is 4 wide and you can see on page that its stuffed.
i would go with 2 8 bubls if you what that in there

Myself, I'd concentrate on your cooling equipment before upgrading your lights but thats just me. I am sure you'll figure it out, with you being on the opposite side of the planet isnt your Winter coming on? Maybe upgrading your lights is the way to go lol. Please dont listen to me lmao.
If I can improve on the amount of jars I gotta burp I might use the RDWC this summer to grow some veggies. I am really liking the stability of the coco/peat/bennies and might just stick with what I know? Yeah right I'll end up F'ing around with the DIY UC once my rooms are in order, the power upgrades ( power co) are finished and once I get my Lighting Control Panel installed. If I got the space and the numbers I am bound to get board and curious soon enough.
Only thing I can say about the LED's are ease up on the amount of food your used to giving them and more imp. go over and talk with jon705, IMHO he's the "Go to Guy" or at least he is for me. They ought to change his little designation under his user name to the led go to guy lol. The purps is looking alot like the pic from the seed shop, but its such a soft, fluffy style plant, compared to the Ocean Grown I dont think it will make the cut. I do have a few more clones so I could easily keep it on board but i dont think it will be around for long. I am so in love with the OG. as of right now room b has nothing in it but OG. I remember to many problems and hedaches trying to flower out too many strains at the same time and giving them the same food. "Rookie Move!" for me at least, lol. 13 strains in one room was my record , disastrous lol.
Man I wish we were closer I'd love to see ya. so let me know about the boy, ok?
almost forgot, as for the defoliation right now I am taking off fans that are shading lower sites. I am not on any kind of schedule but might play around with it more later once I can climb out of this deep hole I fell in? If I could only be broke instead of negative lol, ya know?

going well, tight scheduled today for me, lot of pll to see and no time to see them lol, just about to get out of work then have to run up to local club to get some nutes from a guy who lives across state, he was making a trip there and it saves me shipping costs : ) BUT my dad picked up a moving van to barrow and guy said he could use for free if he got the shit out the back, we opened up..... there is like over $5k worth of wooden antics in there.... the up side, most of it is the same age as my house ; P so i got alot of new stuff i have to sand down and re finish but should have some classy furniture later on ; P

Sounds sweet bro, gotta love the way builders used to build. Once your done redooing that stuff it will last another few lifetime lol. You couldn't hardly find new stuff built half as good.

So the HVAC work is done and now its time to monitor. Hopefully the effect from all this wont present to many issues, concerned about the vent system in the attic not being able to keep up with two extraction fans dumping into the attic? Well see and make nec. Upgrades. Gotta a couple more vortec s so a few bucks in parts i could set up a sweet heat dump

no 4 inch bro, got to prob. use both and still get another by the time im all set up? if I find a smoking deal on a 4 ill let ya know. Wish I had one you know id give it. No batwings needed yet? lol. How are those coolies working for ya? Temps ok with this great weather?

So yeah the HVAC Wye is connected to the 8inch hood ducting and the exhaust from the 8K BTU port ac.

Luckily room b seems to be getting enough cool air from the veg room and its 14K BTU port to keep things in an acceptanle range, it vents right out the window but not for long, the cabin gets so many night time flyers in the summer time night that I have to figure out a better way. put a couple of stragglers outside under the shade of a tree for a few days to harden up and then they will go into hidden honey holes next week ssshhhhhhhh lol

Speaking of rooms coming together, now that the ac units are in I can get back to my 200 sq. ft room. Hope to have it up and running towards the end of May or June at the latest. Room B should be done around the 17th and I would rather not start flowering the next round in that room but might have to.

lol looking like dr weeds funhouse in there! im thinking on getting a 6 inch and using the 4 as a fresh air intake my tent with the t5 & 4 inch system runs hotter than the dual 600s that setup is working great i should take pics of my stealth exhaust port took an old ac unit and made it an active exhaust its helps pull out the hot air, the whole room even the veg tent is running cooler,with the big tent no longer just venting into the room,overall temps are down up to 20f,, im sur after i get the veg tent going outside it will be even better, when summer really gets going im sure i'll need ac, but atm things are good, except my big gdp shes got a serious problem same thing that happened to my sk11 is happening to her, its the medium i think they were in the same blend i must have gotten something wrong, im gonna flush hard and run some ph'd salt based nutes and see if i can save her, the ones in the new blend are doing great , at this rate im gonna run out of meds, (not really) but im lower than i have been in a long time, but i have a purple power and herijuana jack-33 bout done another week or 2, but i was so looking fwd to a big gdp harvest, (sigh)

sorry to hear of the probs bfam wish there was something I could do to help. I am also running out of meds but room b ought to be done before this time in May.

Last night before I called it quits I found some very developed seeds (only a few) on one of the purps and one single seed on one of the OG's. I know what it takes for the plant to produce the seeds I just can't find the culprit. Last round "The Purps" started pushing male nanners and I am thinking the odds are that it was another purps. So this morning I culled the young ones and am done with this strain. Long story short: couldn't fall into to any form of deep sleep, all I could do was think and rethink. It's so early in the season I doubt it was from some rouge outdoor plants but you never know. Maybe I ought to get a big hepa type filter and create an intake to protect the crops later in the year from the outdoors guys that never cull males??

my thoughts and opinion, dont sweat the seeds or the elusive nanner, its clear it was at least 2 weks ago, takes 2 wks min to have noticable seeds, ,the nanner could have fallen off and be long gone weeks ago, since the plant is not heavily seeded or hermied, soooooo the damage is done, if it herms this late it really makes no difference as theres no time for seeds to form, and it may be the best meds you have ever grown ,you just dont know yet, bit of history-- the bang on best strains of yesteryear think 60s,70's80s era columbian gold, morracan hash,Maui wowie, killer mexican sativas, well i was researching a few months ago and found several articles about those old strains turns out many were all hermie diploid i think is the term i may be wrong on the word, anyway those strains were wild landrace genetics that were adapted to basically be a both sex plant having one grow out all female or male was the oddball, this was a survival mechanisim that they did due to harsh and intense enviroments, they tried hard (breeders) to get them to be 2 sexes and it proved to be quite difficult so many were shelved for indoor production strains and the new versions re hybrids that still have a high instance of herms, but it was amazing pot that kept a generation of stoners baked/medicated to the gills, nobody cared if there were seeds in a bag of primo cuz it was awesome, and they had beans to try to grow as a bonus, we are spoiled nowadays with seedless but the truth is seeds are the plants primary life goal its all they want and live for, my point is if its good enough you'll be glad she gave you som beans and you didnt have to do anything to get em!! and no patient will mind a few beans for the same reasons !! make sense??
