re: s1ingblade's Coco OG Kush & 818 HeadBand 1st Grow Journal 2013

Thanks Hiker, that makes sense and I really think your right. the plant I was topping in fact every plant in that room except for the seedlings are clones. All those plants including the once in the tent flowering away are from 8 seeds:) Ronnie I used the aero cloner back in Late Dec. until the Middle of Jan, thats what the bigger clones are from, I used plain old tap and they got as high as 76ish. This last time I had something inhibiting them from rooting so I pulled them out after 10 days and recut them redipped them and let em finish in rooter plugs. Since I am out of the rooters and have about 100 rock wool cubes that is how I will clone next round. So far I liked the aero the best cause once they were rooted and ready to put in coco there was nothing but clone and roots.
Thanks alot McLoadie, means a lot

I always use microbe tea , and put a heater in to keep water between 75f and 78f. throw some benny's and a heater in there and they'll root up fast:thumb:

Yeah, to be honest I was just experimenting to see what certain methods would do, figured if its female i will keep her for a mommy for a while, if i was going for straight production I would have done it different. Good noticing though, thanks

Got to have something up there, gets pretty gosh darn lonely at times, it's starting to take its toll on the wife and kids but she's understanding and is fully aware that until the cabin is dialed there is going to be alot of time apart, of course once its the way it will be and fully functioning then there is harvests that will be lots of hours and days trimming but the beauty of that is she actually enjoys trimming and is WAY better than I am, honestly I havn't ever seen anyone who is better at trimming than my wife. I will take pics of her trim job and mine and then you all will see what I'm talking about. She could trim for High Times photo shoots no prob. Only problem is I aint got nothing to trim! YET lol
All Yall have a good one, im going to crash out for 4 hours and get up in the middle of the night to get my seed order in for the big birthday promo and hope the Cookies aren't sold out, well see.

got some of the cookies that won the hightimes cannabis cup in San Bernardino for best hybrid , lab tested 26%thc
some of the best meds i've ever had.

Stayed up until 2am to get my seed order in, got the cookies, hope there the real deal, how do they get seeds from a clone only strain Colodial Silver or something to make it create a male flower and them let it pollinate itself?
TTYL, Im tired
Yeh my Wife knew I had a hard time the last few times they had them so she said "You better get em" Gotta love the boss:)

We have a great source of info on colloidal silver seed production bro, I'm gonna try again soon, we thinks my colloidal silver was "bunk".

re: s1ingblade's Coco OG Kush & 818 HeadBand 1st Grow Journal 2013

Yesterday or the day before (cant remember duh!) I was supprised to see that it had gotten cold enough for the dew point to create moisture on the windows and door knobs. 72% RH was enough to keep me from sleeping right. Today I took two 10" to 8" reducers, taped them together and cut a hole in the ceiling. Was able to cram the special made ducting into my crude hole. Last year I got an C.A.P. Air 2 for 70 bucks on a big auction site. Between the Air2 and a 8" Vortec style vent fan and a little extra 8" cheapo ducting I was able to fix the prob. So I am wondering the controller has temp and humidity settings and a electrical outlet for each. Since I am next going to add a 5000 btu manual air conditioner is it best to hook the fan to the humidity outlet? I am assuming the temp outlet will work best with the little air conditioner I am adding next and to use the fan on the humidity side?
Appreciate any feedback

I knew there would be a good reason to leave that hole in the ceiling last year lol, also the last pic I think is of the greenhouse exhaust fan I kept and its set at 75 degrees F. once it hits that temp it exhausts the air in the attic. Man I am so glad that I spent extra funds and put in those attic stairs :)
Here is a pic of what I think is a must have for any indoor grower

a pic of "The Purps" triplets

A random shot at the girls chugging away, getting them ready for the 2nd flowering run that should start no later than tax day.

a pic of the coco coir I am using this time, dont like how much rinsing and feeding it takes to keep it from depriving the plants and causing weird colors out of the leaves and tops

So job done, now once it hits 50% RH or more it will kick on the exhaust fan pull the moist air into the attic and out of the cabin. Stay tuned next on the list of to do's before spring is cutting a 16"x12" hole in the wall and hook a manual controls air conditioning.
Have a great weekend all yall grower dudes and chicks. L8TR

re: s1ingblade's Coco OG Kush & 818 HeadBand 1st Grow Journal 2013

I'm trying my best. I dont know whats harder to deal with the 18 miles to and fro or the gosh darn flu season?
Thanks Hiker, by the way do you do much backpacking? Used to take off for almost a month or more in the high sierras.

re: s1ingblade's Coco OG Kush & 818 HeadBand 1st Grow Journal 2013

I like those air pots your using, used them for my last grow and roots where massive when i opened them up.:thumb:

re: s1ingblade's Coco OG Kush & 818 HeadBand 1st Grow Journal 2013

One thing i dont like about them is there messy esp. when you don't assemble them right. Some growers are talking about more problems with root aphids and fungus gnats getting into the soil? Dont know haven't had any of them yet. I also have noticed the super small 1L ones sure dry out quick and for seedlings that can cause:rip:

Hey AZM! Cabin's really shaping up. I have a question about your venting hot air into the attic, though. I hope what I'm seeing is the vent hose going out the soffit, right? You could end creating a little snow storm in your attic if your pumping warm moist air into a unheated attic.

re: s1ingblade's Coco OG Kush & 818 HeadBand 1st Grow Journal 2013

I will check into that and add some sort of heat or light, maybe my t8 could be set to run at night or something, I got a small electric heater I could hook up. Thanks a bunch +Reps for potentially saving my ceiling and plants

The light or heater would only have to keep the temp above freezing, but still sounds energy intensive to me. Your best bet would be to install a roof vent, like a bathroom fan vent and run that exhaust fan line up and out that.

You don't want to add any moisture to your attic. Could lead to mold issues down the road.

howdy brother!

looking just awesome! :cheesygrinsmiley: just wandering, is your raw diesel from g13 labs? looking at the work and effort/time you've put into your grow is inspiring dude, can hardly wait to see pounds pumping :cheesygrinsmiley:
