RVgrower's Indoor Closet Grow: a Few N. Lights x Skunk & Some Bag Seeds Under CFL's

Re: RVgrower's Indoor Closet Grow: a Few N. Lights x Skunk & Some Bag Seeds Under CFL

OKAY PEEPES! HERE IT IS! An update on my N. Lights X Skunk plant , AND!!! A HARVEST REPORT ON MY FIRST HARVEST OF BAG SEED PLANTS!
The first one is my #5 N.Lights x #1 Skunk, which is growing so beautifully after a late start due to an injury during germination... but look at her now!!!

7_4_11_My_Skunk_x_N_Lights_all_stretched_out_and_growing_beautifully_.jpg

She is stretching out so nicely, I hope she gets big and bushy!
7_4_11_Xena_is_so_big_and_beautiful_-1.jpg

Xena has lots of baby buds all through the middle!
7_4_11_Xena_has_lots_of_baby_buds_in_the_middle_.jpg

Xena has a big and beautiful top flower that will develop into a huge cola i think!
7_4_11_Xena_has_a_big_and_gorgeous_top_bud_started_here.jpg

Here she is after I spread her open with a bit of LST training, using all I had at the time- paper clips! ( I bend them out and open flat with some pliers, then bend a little hook on each end, one 90 degrees off from the other so it just gently holds the limb down without hurting it.

My first grow in it's second day of drying....

One plant after it's initial trimming during drying- taking off all the little fans that I left to begin with so as to dry slowly.....

Waldo's got a cola as long as my hand! Not bad for a plant that was only 23" tall! It's a thick & sticky bud too!

Shorty here drying too, she has the biggest colas....

Here you can see all the red and orange hairs in the buds!

My 6 plant harvest is weighing in today at 63 grams as it's in it's 3rd day of curing...
7_5_11_My_6_plant_harvest_at_start_of_curing_63_grams_total_rite_now.jpg

So there it is for now....curing. So I am in a very dry area of the country, relative humidity averages about 12% year round...besides that, I apparently left them in flower a bit too long, ( was trying to be a good girl and NOT pull them early, as people can usually do I have read, so the stems were almost solid wood, except for wood. I apparently dried them partially while still in the pot.......Oh well, we will see what happens. The smell is WAYYYYYY better, in fact, it's SO mellow, it's not strong at all any more, probably from the removal of all the seed pods that had infected my girls because I had to leave the curtain pulled back a bit at night to let them have cool air so they didn't die from heat stroke or whatever it's called. Anyhow, they still have the chlorophyll smell in the jars when I open them , and a slight "good weed" smell in there now as well...it's faint, but gets a bit stronger every time I open the jar I think! AAnyways, I'm using the mason jar technique for curing....I believe the herb was at about 55-65% humidity before I cut them off the stems....no instrument, just a good guess, by using the technique others have and will be opening and "burping" the jars for like 20 minutes every few hours or so right now.....as the stuff gets to smelling better I can let them open up less and less....I think they might just be okay after all! I'm praying that they will be!

Re: RVgrower's Indoor Closet Grow: a Few N. Lights x Skunk & Some Bag Seeds Under CFL

Way to go RV! :woohoo:

I'm excited for you. You keep learning more and identifying ways to improve in the future. You're harvesting you're own meds -- how cool is that?!?! :)

Oh, If they are moist in there at all, and you feel them getting limp or mushy at all - let 'em out for a bit to breathe. Depending on how they feel, just make sure to burp once/twice a day. Just don't want to get any mold going in those jars... Looks like you're in a great spot with it so far. :thumb:

Re: RVgrower's Indoor Closet Grow: a Few N. Lights x Skunk & Some Bag Seeds Under CFL

:circle-of-love:Thank YOU Mr. Krip! I KNOW I couldn't have done this with out your help especially, because you helped me SO much, as much or more than anyone else! And I don't even have that many friends, only 8 so far....It sucks that being sick makes it so hard for me to be on the computer at times, but when the arthritis flares up, and it's all over, i just can't hardly get to the bathroom and back to bed all day every day, so I BARELY was able to take care of my babies! I even forgot to feed them one hot day and a few started to wilt one day!!! :whoa::oops::icon_roll:bigblush:
Soooo, the fan leaves are pretty dry now and I pulled them from the paper bag they've been in most of a week or so now. I put them in a gallon size zip-lock bag, and as I pushed the air out of the bag, the faint, sweet smell of decent bud came wafting up thru my nostrils! Ahhhh....
And the jar curing is coming along fine- same thing....I pull out a bud or two, and they are getting very nice smelling now! The chlorophyll smell is probably from my crummy trim job...I still see a lot of small fans in there and I don't know why except that for it was my first time....I really tried to remove them all, so as to help with the drying/ curing process. From what I read, I cut the stem at the base, above the soil medium, below the split in the colas, so I took the whole plant that way. Hung that for a day or so just like that, just turning their positions a few times every day, since I couldn't move the fan around the room. Then on the 3rd day, I cut the small fans, cuz they were droopy and damp, and after that, the whole plant dried another 24-36 hrs whole...on the like the 5th day, I finally cut them from the stems, yesterday, and jarred them. It's been 24 hrs so far of jar curing, and already I can tell that the odor is changing just a tiny bit, less chlorophyll and more stinky bud smell! YEAH! I MAY JUST PULL THIS RABBIT OUTTA MY HAT AFTER ALL! Yeah, 63 grams isn't a whole lot...a 1/4oz over 2 oz and thats LOTS less than I had hoped...but like I said at the beginning of my 1st official try at growing....someone wrote here somewhere..."On your first harvest, you never get as much as you think you should, it takes longer, costs more, etc....because no one is just automatically granted the perfect harvest the first time out! It's all about experience and knowledge! You have to do the studying, you have to do the reading and the trials, and go thru the failures...I may STILL fail on this harvest....They WERE only mexican brown bag seeds, so I don't know WHAT I'm getting, plus they hermied on me cuz I let light get on them, so I had to pick off the seeds and male parts! And that opened up the buds and dried some of them out that way....I am convinced that if I hadn't hermied the others, AND harvested them on the right day, I'd have had a HUGE harvest, probably 2-3 times the harvest I have now....But, I have another plant growing, a true MMJ plant this time! And she's a Fem. N. Lights #5 X Skunk #1, who is technically the same age as the plants I just harvested, but had an "accident" during germination, lost a cotelydon, and almost died! But I babied her back to health, but she was almost a month behind her sisters at that point. So thats why she's all alone now....but, I got a SURPRISE!!!

I started soaking the seeds for my "Grow 3.0" which will be 4 MORE MMJ SEEDS!:
1) A freebie seed from BUDDHA Seeds- a Fem. Syrup
2) A freebie from EMERALD TRIANGLE Seeds- a Fem.Emerald Jack
3) A freebie from EMERALD TRIANGLE Seeds- a Fem.Super Sour OG
4) A freebie from EMERALD TRIANGLE Seeds- a Fem.Grapefruit Krush

After harvesting this grow "3.0" in October or so I figure, I will have 2 more seeds left- 2 World of Seeds "Afghan Kush Ryder- Fem. Auto's" . I tried to grow 1 earlier this year, and it failed...the seed rotted before it sprouted...I think I messed up about how to start what I was doing...Like I buried it too deep, and had the wrong soil....Now I know what to do. I planned it this way, so I end up only growing 2 plants thru the holidays, and they will be Autos, so I just set the lights and never change them, which will keep the room warmer which only makes sense to do that thru the Winter, when I WANT it warmer in here, 20 hours a day....That will be fine! So I really hope this all pans out like I am hoping for, but we will see.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL THE FRIENDS AND OTHER PEEPS WHO HAVE STOPPED IN AND LEFT A KIND WORD, SOME GOOD ADVICE, OR EVEN JUST GAVE ME A "LIKE"- I THANK ALL OF YOU AND APPRECIATE IT!!! I AM FEELING MORE COMFORTABLE NOW DAYS, SO I THINK THAT WITH CONTINUED STUDY, AND SUPPORT FROM MY FAMILY, DOCTORS AND MY FRIENDS ON HERE, I WILL BE FEELING BETTER AS TIME GOES BY...
:thanks::thanks::thanks::green_heart::green_heart::green_heart::party::slide:

MUCH LOVE TO YOU ALL!
Nice job, RVG! Congrat's on your first harvest!

THX! XLR8! THAT MEANS SO MUCH TO HEAR FROM YOU! GUYS LIKE YOU AND GOD'S TRICHOME, AND MR. KRIP, ALL YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN SO GOOD TO ME AND I WISH I COULD HUG YOU ALL! YES! THIS IS A LIFE-LONG DREAM COME TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I JUST WISH I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO LIVE SOMEHWERE I COULD GROW OUTSIDE!!! OMG! I WAS GOING TO ENTER THE P.O.T.M. AND MAYBE THE N.O.T.M. LATER, BUT NO WAY! I SAW THE COMPETITION, AND FORGET ABOUT IT! I CAN'T EVEN COMPETE WITH THAT! SOME PEEPS GOT BUDS OFF OF AUTOS IN 8-10 WEEKS THAT DID WAYYYY BETTER THAN ME- WHO TOOK 16 WEEKS OR MORE TO GROW MY FIRST HARVEST! OH WELL! THANK GOODNESS I GOT YOU FOR A FRIEND! THANKS AGAIN FOR THE SUPPORT! YOU MADE THIS HAPPEN TOO! MUCH LOVE MY FRIEND!:thanks::love::thanks::yahoo:

Re: RVgrower's Indoor Closet Grow: a Few N. Lights x Skunk & Some Bag Seeds Under CFL

No need to thank me, RVG - You did all the hard work on this grow! :welldone:

I'm glad for any help I was able to provide, but if it was more than anyone else, I'm sure it was only because I was first to respond! :)

One of the great things about :420: is that there are so many great growers (much better than I!), as you saw from the POTM/NOTM contests, that are always happy to help.

I will make one more suggestion, though...

Since you'll soon be running low on seeds, and I know money for more quality seeds is a factor and has some risk, now would be a good time to start getting into cloning.

Even if you don't keep most of the clones you take, you'll "find your groove" in cloning just like you are with growing, and then (barring any growroom disasters!) never have to worry about getting more seeds again unless/until you decide you want to grow a new strain. :)

NOTE: You can't effectively clone autoflowers

Re: RVgrower's Indoor Closet Grow: a Few N. Lights x Skunk & Some Bag Seeds Under CFL

HEY XLR8! Thanks for stopping' by man!

Yeah, I'm going to be okay, but with arthritis, and I've got both kinds, it's the weather changing in the fall, going from warm to cold, and in the spring, going from cold to warm....it's mostly barometric pressure apparently, says the doctors....it swells your joint fluid, so if you already have arthritis and that's an issue, when the weather changes, then we REALLY feel it! OW! It feels like someone's sticking a metal rod or something under my kneecaps, and through my hips, thru my back, thru my hands & feet, and thru my groin area, the inside of my hip joint I guess...it does suck...oh, and it saps the LIFE outta you too! You feel like someone just sucked your life force right out of you & I just lay here somedays all day, don't eat, barely sleep, just doze and try not to let myself think about the pain... The more herb I have used instead of pills, the better my recovery, I am sleeping better, losing weight ( I'm overweight right now, so that part is very good- lost 30 lbs in last 3 months), and I am using less than half the morphine I was using just 3 months ago, so that's WONDERFUL! ALL THANKS TO MOTHER NATURE'S BEST PLANT!!!:cheer:

Sorry if I'm rambling...I got some "Blue Dream" from a buddy of mine a week or 2 ago, a Cali strain he said, and I medicated before I got on here, but I feel like I am doing okay, at least I'm not hurting! Thank you Great Spirit!!! AWesome stuff this is, :roorrip::bongrip::hookah::amen::drool:

Yeah, I am soaking my new seeds right now, I am going to let them go for 48 hours, maybe more, because I want to see some good tap roots before I plant them. They are at about 24 hours right now, and when I checked them just a bit ago, I saw 1 tiny tap root on 1, 2 that definitely have a split on the side and the white tap root is showing through the opening...and 1 that hasn't cracked yet, so we will let them go till tomorrow for sure. I am excited to be growing these awesome strains! I so lucked out when I went to World of Seeds to buy just a 3 pack of the "Northern lights #5 x Skunk #1", and in so doing that, they had this special where I got all those seeds for free!!! I am going to save some of this 1st harvest of bag seed weed, and some of every other strain I harvest, I am going to put some away, by doing the suck out the air and freeze it thing. I read that if you do it like that, your herb can last for like 10 years said 1 dude and another said indefinitely! So I am saving some of each, ya know?

Again, sorry for rambling, and thanks again, so much!, for helping me thru this first grow, and for your friendship! I will stop now so I don't just keep on typing...lol, sorry! :bong::thanks::sorry::oops::green_heart:

Cool - I'm excited to see grow 3.0, and I'm really glad to hear you're feeling a bit better. :high-five:

Re: RVgrower's Indoor Closet Grow: a Few N. Lights x Skunk & Some Bag Seeds Under CFL

Hey Mr. Krip,
Yeah, I hear ya, and I just got so caught up in my 2nd grow, and my successful grow & 1st harvest! And YEAH! You and the other guys DID help me throughout this process, because I am all alone on this, and it's so hard to try to decipher all the tons of info out there now days, so without the help of all of you guys that gave me advice and guidance, you all really WERE responsible for helping me stay the course and what other things to try.

But as for the cloning, I just wasn't ready to take that new skill on, as well as at the same time I'm just trying to learn to take care of all these plants, and there as 14 at first! I wasn't ready then, and then plants all went into flower before I thought of it, so I missed the window of opportunity, but it's okay, because I AM going to try to do it sometime soon...I just have to decide how to do it and get the cloning gel and sterile blades, etc...and then how will I grow the roots? I can't afford to buy a THING right now! I am totally BROKE! I can barely afford the food and nutrients I need for the plant I have now, but it is just 1 plant, so I will probably have enough nutes to last thru this N. Lites x Skunk plant, and thru the start of the 4 other plants in upcoming "grow 3.0"....But a cloning machine? Even "home-made"? I don't thnk so...Unless there's a different way of doing it I haven't heard of yet....like just leaving them in a jar of water like we do for all our other plants we get from neighbors and friends, etc...

I DO appreciate you sharing your experience with me, you didn't have to do that, that's why I thank you!

Re: RVgrower's Indoor Closet Grow: a Few N. Lights x Skunk & Some Bag Seeds Under CFL

Hey there, GT! I miss your wonderful messages and advice, but I know we've both been very busy with our grows and families or lives/ what ever, you know what I mean,
Anyhow, I am still curing it, in about day 2 or 3, I think......I'd have to go back thru here and look at the exact date....I love that about journaling like this! I can go back to my journals and find anything I wrote, see any pics, etc....and see the transition of my going from scared and hopeless Grandma who hasn't tried to seriously grow like this before, needs so much help, etc..., to me NOW! Who just harvested my VERY OWN FIRST CROP OF MEDICINE!!! It was 63 grams when I 1st put the buds & "sugar"leaves in the jars to start the curing process. It's going very well I believe! Even though it's only been a few days, I keep laying it out on these trays to dry it all out evenly, like the guys keep reminding me to do....And it's working out great! I am truly Blessed to have you coming by here, befriending me, and then taking your time to give me advice! I can't believe how lucky I have been! AND I CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH!!!:adore::thanks::green_heart::thanks:
RVG, mam, I must say, WOW!!! Great job!!!

Re: RVgrower's Indoor Closet Grow: a Few N. Lights x Skunk & Some Bag Seeds Under CFL

:circle-of-love:Wow, it is an honor, truly an honor, I am humbled. But it is I that am lucky mam, to have such a great friend with the same passion and outlook. As far as drying out on a tray, I do the same myself with samples, I do get impatient at times, and have to jump start the process, just so excited to try out my hard work. Count me in from here on out, although I will be on and off for next couple of weeks. Peace and God bless you my dear friend, hope you feel better, and have faith, you are doing awesome!!!!!:bravo:

Re: RVgrower's Indoor Closet Grow: a Few N. Lights x Skunk & Some Bag Seeds Under CFL

Hi RV - was thinking about what you said regarding saving a little from each strain you grow. I think you should do that - I like that idea. I've been wanting to do that and just never get around to it, but -- I like the idea, and I think it would be a cool thing to do. :thumb:

Re: RVgrower's Indoor Closet Grow: a Few N. Lights x Skunk & Some Bag Seeds Under CFL

OKAY, Here's the report for day , uhmmm...well, more like a "Sneek Peek"- on my next grow...I'm medicated and have no calendar...Sorry! Anyways, here's the pics of the beginning of "Grow 3.0" for me!

I use only this kind of Perlite- it's pretty chunky, but has all different sizes of material in this particular product. I didn't have a big algae problem either, not that the product being organic had anything todo with that, I'm just saying...
7_7_11_My_OMRI_listed_Perlite_thats_the_Organic_Materials_Review_Institute_.jpg

My 4 new cups half filled with Perlite on the bottom, a hole put in the side of the cup, about 2-2&1/4th inches above the bottom. On top of the Perlite, I sprinkled about a tablespoon of Osmocote.
7_7_11_My_4_new_cups_half_filled_w_Perlite_and_a_sprinkling_of_Osmocote_.jpg

Here's my cups ready to go with the "Super Secret Special Soil"!lololol!!!( Equal parts of FFOF, Perlite, and a less expensive brand of a seedling starter soil- it's very fine and has 50% Spaghnum Peat and 50% vermiculite I believe. So I think that's a good assortment of soil and amendments, don't you?
7_7_11_My_grow_3_0_cups_and_soil_ready.jpg

Here is my "GROW 3.0" on day 1, the day I planted the seeds into "Mini- Hempy" cups...
7_7_11_My_grow_3_0_on_day_1_.jpg

I'm really over-lapping these grows it seems...The first one, was a total disaster! I killed some nice MMJ seeds because I was not ready to even plant those seeds yet- even though I studied on here and read so many journals on the types of seeds I was going to grow, or the type of growing mediums I was thinking of using...And I STILL F'd it up! Ah well, I shoulda known.....that's what everyone says: that your first grow usually never goes your way, and can even be a complete fall out- like mine was....
But thanks to my wonderful friends here on :420:, I got the help I needed , when I needed it, and all in a positive and loving manner....and then I tried again, and the second time I succeeded! Thanks to al of you!
I am still curing the 2nd grow, about 2oz., have a Skunk#1 x Northern Lights #5 that's in the end of week 5 of flower. She's a Feminized girl, so no worries there, but I had the other plants to deal with when this one was in veg, so I never got any clones off of her. I can't take fan leaves for clones, right? Or flowers themselves? At least that's what I thought...I got to read up on cloning now...one of the other guys left me a thread or video or something he said, on how to clone....he left it for me a few months ago, so I have to go search for the thing now, and i'm not even sure of what it is exactly I am searching for, what format that is....but I'll find it....I don't have that many true "friends", or close I should say....Just a few, a few I can trust, and that's all a person needs, right? Everyone else are known as " acquaintances .....

Sorry, rambling again.....this Blue Dream is freaking AWESOME! :bongrip:

So I will sign off for tonight, I have about 7 more pics from tonight that I will post in the AM....I'm taking way too long just trying to sign off here now, so yeah, tomorrow....

Till then, I hope all of you out there have an awesome weekend! :circle-of-love:

Re: RVgrower's Indoor Closet Grow: a Few N. Lights x Skunk & Some Bag Seeds Under CFL

Hello everyone! I hope you all are having a kick-ass weekend coming up! I am going to be busy tomorrow, so I may not be back on till Sunday, but maybe tomorrow night, it depends on what time I get home...
Anyways, I thought I'd post the last new pics I have, until my new seeds pop.....Unless something else happens I guess! lol!

My 2nd grow that is curing right now after a 2nd bud trimming..
7_7_11_My_2nd_grow_that_is_curing_right_now_after_a_2nd_bud_trimming_.jpg

Here's about an Oz. or more of "sugar leaves" from trimming the buds that were drying on the tray a second time .

I sure love the color- the orange and red hairs all over them!

A handful of buds now neatly manicured. They look MUCH better now!

Some "Blue Dream" I got to hold me over till my harvest- YUMMY!!!

A close up of a "Blue Dream" nugget...this stuff has a tangy-woodsy-sweet kinda taste to me....And it makes me good and sleepy- excellent for my insomnia! I guess maybe that's why they called it Blue Dream...

Re: RVgrower's Indoor Closet Grow: a Few N. Lights x Skunk & Some Bag Seeds Under CFL

And lastly, here's an update on things as far as the three things I got going on right now:
1) My 2nd grow harvest (of my Mexi-brown bag seeds) cure: The jar curing is going great now that I got all that extra stuff off the buds...now the smell inside that jar with just the newly, neatly manicured buds are in is WAYYYYY better!!! It's smelling more like the original kinda funky-wierd smell that was freaking me out back during early flower, when the smell coming off these girls was WICKED! I have never even imagined bud could stink that way! lol! Anyways, this bud smell now though is better...mellow, and sweeter, but still a hint of chlorophyll so I am burping the jar about 2-3 times a day for about 20 or so minutes as is recommended. I don't think it'll be too long before I will be able to try and smoke some and see what I got with all my hard work this spring and summer! The stuff the seeds came from was good enough that when I found a seed I saved only the good ones, and so it has to be good, hell, it should be even BETTER! cuz I got all the top buds, and I took the best care I could of them, even if they had a few bumps and bruises along the way...Anyways I may try a nugget in a few more days, but I am waiting for a more "sweeter" smell, and I am trying to see ifI just wait, that it WILL get better....that's what they say anyways.

2) My 2nd grow slow-poke, my N.Lights x Skunk that's near the end of week 5 of flower...Monday the 11th will be the start of week 6. Last week of Big Bud Powder, and she's still kinda small, as far as I can tell. But her flowers are already showing orange hairs....I hope that's okay, cuz I want to let her flower out as long as I have planned, so I can use the "Overdrive" that I bought for them to finish the last 2 weeks on, instead of "Big Bud Powder"....I check my trichs every day, but how do I tell when I'm 2 weeks from finishing??? Besides, the seed bank info on this strain said that it should finish flowering in like 65-75 days I think it said....so that would be right on schedule then, I guess...Anyways, she looks beautiful in every other way. Just gorgeous! But still kinda small...Maybe it's cuz she's been thru that germination trauma and had to stay in veg for like 60 plus days cuz she almost died. Now she's got to flower in 8 weeks I hope, and get some size on her too in the mean time!

3) My new "Grow 3.0"- Well, It's the beginning of day 2 of them in the soil, germinating, I hope! About 26 or so hours in the mix, under constant light until they do pop....I hope that's okay...I'm doing that different this time around. I have always tried to just do the seeds like the plants- 18/6, you know? But this time, I decided I was going to try the "constant-light-until-the-seedlings-emerge" technique...This part, for me, is the WORST!!! I HATE waiting to see them pop! It drives me nuts! And it's so hard not to touch them sometimes....I don't much, just like twice a day, morning and evening to check them out, see if everything's okay, and to turn them 180 degrees, so they get light from all sides, & to see if anything's popping! lol! Anyways, I have (2) 26 watt, 6500k CFL's, on a 2-way splitter hanging from (1) 8" Reflector dish in the back end of the bathroom, and they are in "Mini- Hempys", sitting in a drip tray, down inside a tote, with a thermometer, that reads about 77-82 degrees throughout the day and night it shows so far. I think that's okay. When I pick up one of these cups to turn them, the plastic is kinda thin, so I can feel the warmth of the soil inside. And I do have saran wrap on all of them to act as a "humidity dome", till they pop also....I watered them good before I planted the seeds, just once, till the water started to come out of the reservoir hole I made, about 2" above the bottom of the cup...So I am, as usual, praying so hard, that I am just a terrible worrier, and that they are just making "the magic happen" in there! lol! But it's so hard when you can't see what's going on...But it's almost impossible to do the "paper-towel" method where I live, as the Relative Humidity here is about 12% year round, I live in the high desert, so things dry out REAL fast here, too fast it has seemed in the past, for the paper towel way to work for me. It always dried out before I could get them to pop. The only other way besides the "soil" method I'm using again here this time that ever seemed to work for me, was the "water-drip" method that worked to revive all those bag seeds that I just ended up growing 7 of and harvested just this week! Since I only have 1 each of 4 different strains to grow this time, I couldn't use the "water-drip" method, they would have got mixed-up together. So this method, of soaking in water treated w/Superthrive, in the dark, for about 48 hrs., then were planted into the soil mix in the "Mini-Hempy" cups that were themselves already prepped and watered-ready to go, then sealed on top with saran wrap, taped it up all around, and poked some holes in the plastic wrap to let it breathe a bit. Under the lights they went, and there they have been since about noon or so yesterday...
So, that's all from me and what's going on here in my world today...I may be on tomorrow night, or maybe Sunday if not tomorrow night. I will, as usual, try to keep you all updated, & do some studying of my own on here, trying to always learn from all of you out there that I look up to and appreciate so much.

May you all have a Blessed weekend! Much love & respect!

Re: RVgrower's Indoor Closet Grow: a Few N. Lights x Skunk & Some Bag Seeds Under CFL

well i thought i subbed in a while ago but i guess i missed... here now and i will try to follow to 3.0
good job on your first harvest! its always a great feeling to grow your own meds.
i would like to take a second and mention a few things that i noticed
when flowering alot of seed company's will claim 7-8 weeks etc. even when they say 12-11 weeks i still expect my ladys to go about 2 weeks longer... and they normaly do... dont watch the hairs as they will not be any help in telling when the plant is done. you really need a 50X or better Microscope or jewelers loop to look at the trichs... than its to your own taste! if u like the Active head high pull earlier if u like a more indica Feel the couch lock than let it go longer
when they say 75 days it is just a good judgement on how long it will take from the time you start the 12/12 possess to the end not a definite
Being that your plowering plant is a more heavy sativa i would be looking at more like 10 -12 weeks IMO
ill leave it at that for the time beeing as my eyes are finaly getting heavy.... ill be back to help with what i can
good luck with the slowpoke

Looks like some nice nugs. If you can grow that you can make clones( without an expensive cloning machine) I make clones the cheapest and easiest way possible. I put my cuttings into jiffy pellets( or any soil ) and use a 1liter bottle with the top cut off placed upside down over the cutting for a humidity dome. Then keep it watered good for 2 weeks until it starts to grow;) . Will be watching next grow

Hey there shaggie420...Sorry I didn't respond to you sooner...I have had a lot going on at the home front lately, personal illness flare-up again, being one of them...
But yes, I am so thankful that you stopped by and think that you want to follow my grow to help and such, I really appreciate anyone's input! I love hearing others' ideas and things that have worked for them.
And yes, I DO have a good hand held microscope. It's a little lighted one, 60x-100x power...and yeah, I can see my trichs, and noticed the changes as I watched the end of the last grow....
And thanks once more for the reminder on the whole Sativa influence....I forgot that part, I've only grown Indicas so far. And I KNOW that makes a HUGE difference! Yeah, that's okay....got the whole closet to herself right now...and the other seeds from "Grow 3.0" are starting to pop (Ooops! Secret's out! :shhh: Today is the beginning of week 6 for her, and she's getting HUGE! I mean, she's still small by most standards, but to know her history, this IS huge!! And really, she IS growing some inches big time right now... Mostly, her 1 tall cola that she has ( yeah, 1 got broke off back in her younger days...:rip:, and then, 1 of the shorter, side-colas got broke off too!!! :rip::yikes: That SOOOO sucked! But anyways...)
So thanks again, for the tips friend! Have a gr8 day, I will be posting new pics later on today! Going to take them now!
