Re: RVgrower's Indoor Closet Grow: a Few N. Lights x Skunk & Some Bag Seeds Under CFL
OKAY PEEPES! HERE IT IS! An update on my N. Lights X Skunk plant , AND!!! A HARVEST REPORT ON MY FIRST HARVEST OF BAG SEED PLANTS!
The first one is my #5 N.Lights x #1 Skunk, which is growing so beautifully after a late start due to an injury during germination... but look at her now!!!
She is stretching out so nicely, I hope she gets big and bushy!
Xena has lots of baby buds all through the middle!
Xena has a big and beautiful top flower that will develop into a huge cola i think!
Here she is after I spread her open with a bit of LST training, using all I had at the time- paper clips! ( I bend them out and open flat with some pliers, then bend a little hook on each end, one 90 degrees off from the other so it just gently holds the limb down without hurting it.
My first grow in it's second day of drying....
One plant after it's initial trimming during drying- taking off all the little fans that I left to begin with so as to dry slowly.....
Waldo's got a cola as long as my hand! Not bad for a plant that was only 23" tall! It's a thick & sticky bud too!
Shorty here drying too, she has the biggest colas....
Here you can see all the red and orange hairs in the buds!
My 6 plant harvest is weighing in today at 63 grams as it's in it's 3rd day of curing...
So there it is for now....curing. So I am in a very dry area of the country, relative humidity averages about 12% year round...besides that, I apparently left them in flower a bit too long, ( was trying to be a good girl and NOT pull them early, as people can usually do I have read, so the stems were almost solid wood, except for wood. I apparently dried them partially while still in the pot.......Oh well, we will see what happens. The smell is WAYYYYYY better, in fact, it's SO mellow, it's not strong at all any more, probably from the removal of all the seed pods that had infected my girls because I had to leave the curtain pulled back a bit at night to let them have cool air so they didn't die from heat stroke or whatever it's called. Anyhow, they still have the chlorophyll smell in the jars when I open them , and a slight "good weed" smell in there now as well...it's faint, but gets a bit stronger every time I open the jar I think! AAnyways, I'm using the mason jar technique for curing....I believe the herb was at about 55-65% humidity before I cut them off the stems....no instrument, just a good guess, by using the technique others have and will be opening and "burping" the jars for like 20 minutes every few hours or so right now.....as the stuff gets to smelling better I can let them open up less and less....I think they might just be okay after all! I'm praying that they will be!
