Rosin Press: Information Thread

Sorry I should've said "I use this green ptfe when I blast BHO"
Lol sorry I just saw the ptfe

I am so happy with my medisun and how it's coming out

Good Keif is making really nice "squeeze" and I am really not messing with much of anything else lately

I plan on using the bubble bags this winter and get proficient with pressing with full melt
I hear it's fantastic

Low temps with high pressure plus longer times is really yielding nice tasting/great smelling medicine

Amazing how different the effects are compared to smoking vegetable material. I'm one to occasionally feel anxious or nervous from smoking or dabbing, the rosin aka sho aka squeeze is a lot smoother and I'm noticing a lot less negative effects

Can you be more specific about your technique? How do you get the product onto the ptfe. Do you use parchment as well? U said ur using 37u bags for filters?

How low is low temps? How long is longer?

thx Hizz

The ptfe has nothing to do with my rosin tech

The BHO is caught in my Pyrex and hats lined with the green ptfe

Sorry about the confusion
Can always pm me for specific questions or just to say high

I wanna get a plant pic uploaded in the co test forums

might be making my own press sooner than I thought. Can someone point me in the general direction of where I can source most materials? sorry if this has all been posted, I'll have to dig through the thread.

If you want a cheap but awesome plate solution search online for Joel W. Rosin plates. They are only 150 and I love mine. Then all you need is an arbor press or hydraulic press. And some 20W adjustable soldering irons (the blue ones with yellow dials on the auction bay site. I built my press for 260. Most plates cost 350+ just for the plates. The cheapest complete rosin presses are 360-440 (high5 and nugrunner)

there are a few routes to go, imo teh best one is to buy plates and an h frame shop press. there are several plate makers selling in the $3-600 range.

there are a number of incidentals: filters, parchment, are u gonna press nug? (i'm building a pollen extractor, to press dry sift, thus increasing yield/press and also lowering the plant matter in end product)

Pressing dry sift is by far my favorite method

Hey guys, thanks for the quick answers. I plan on mostly pressing nug, but would eventually love to get into some dry sift or something. Dry sift is just keif that's been sifted or tumbled something like that? As for price range, I'm thinking around 250-350 to build my own. I definitely want quality stuff, tired of messing around with junk.

I will most definitely have to go with an arbor press, hydraulic is a little out of my league. Is the only way to contact this Joel W. through one of those forums? Universal quad PID flat coil heated rosin plates I designed attached to my 20 ton shop press : CannabisExtracts

What about these plates?

Thanks guys.

Hey guys. I've been doing some work at a place that deals with a ton of steel and aluminum, they have a ton of pieces of it all around the compound. Do you think this would be usable? There are pieces that are like 4x6 and about 1/2 inch thick steel, pretty polished but could be polished much more, aluminum pieces like this as well. I'm thinking about asking them for two pieces but don't want to if it's not even worth it...
