Rifleman's Roost Open 24/7: Perpetually Perplexed

Apparently available space can be like money.... the more you have, the more you spend.
How many times have we seen this scenario play out.... complain about space, expand the garden, grow more plants, complain about space..... wash, rinse, repeat.

Maybe I need to find a rental property, something with breakers instead of fuses, and steel exterior doors.
I'd say that you just can't imagine how many times that dream has rolled thru my head.... but I bet you can imagine it.

I'd bet most on here do the same thing I do when riding around town. "Oh look, there's an empty warehouse. Wonder how much they want for it?":rofl:

No kidding. Everytime I'm out I look at old buildings that need a little TLC and THC. I'll catch a 10k sq ft bldg with a garage door built into the side at auction one day. I'll buy that sucker, sit on it and wait. I'll be ready if my state ever wakes up. :)

I live in a transitional area. We used to be the steel capital of the world, and all those mills are now leveled and replaced with shopping areas and parks. That left an inordinate number of empty buildings that used to house things like small factories and car dealerships. Oh.... The possibilities that present themselves with every outdoor jaunt!

One block away is a building that screams to be basement and first floor grow/processing/dispensary with living quarters on the upper two floors that're high enough to catch the view of the river valley. Empty lots on both sides to create enclosed yard space on one, and a community walkway on the other that keeps development from going up on that side, so the windows in th residence don't get blocked like they were for over a hundred years.

Yeah..... I think we all look for the warehouse. :laughtwo: Shoot... I started out with a closet. I have the closet, two 2x2 tents and a fabricated space in the bathroom. I still have another 4x4 looking for love. I'm still looking around my apartment, seeking out more space. It's an obsession.

Well Mr. McCain, I don't believe I could come across a thread made by the fastest 44-40 in the territories and not shake yer hand. I'll be hoppin around like a flea on a hot skillet but beins you got them dark devils goin there I'll be back. Sure hope mark don't get into them brownies

Welcome to The Roost Nonpoint. :welcome: Stop on in anytime, I'm an old retired fart so I'm around most of the time. :)

And Tead's in the business of buying houses. It's a real problem for me. As I pound on a house, I design a grow house in my mind. Plus, our city is just filled with empty stripped (down to studs) houses... a perfect starting point for building a grow house.

You're a stronger man than I Mr Tead. I'd have half the homes in the neighborhood lit up.

Wow, the purple hues on number 3 and 4 are just beautiful fella!
:bravo:

Thanks Mono. :thanks: I found my tripod today so tomorrow's water change will hopefully see some in focus, well lit, out of the tent photos. I'll see if I can find the darkest buds so far. :) Stop on back by when you get a chance.

Still lookin good! Nice work my friend.. Finally took a shot at the 'journal' thing myself. IF you're ever in the neighborhood come drop a line. Cheers!

I am in the front row. start the show any time you're ready. :)

The moment I can do it, I will.... you know I'm jones'in hard.

Hehehehehehe, just as soon as my state pulls it's head out of it's rectum.

Dark Devil Day 48 comes to a close with a water change. DD1/2 are still growing vertical. As you can see they are going to catch up to DD3/4... eventually. :biglaugh: It appears there might be a slight darkening inside the pistil clusters of 1 & 2 also.

The experiment began today also. #3 received cal-mag, mgb, and hydroguard only. #4 got the same, plus the full dose(30ml) of the additives ; Big Bud, Bud Candy, Rhino Skin, Bud Factor X, and Sensizym. Being frugal on a fixed income is advised, so its time to see if I can lighten the nutrient load. :)

It's going to be a busy day for me today, so Ill cut out the chatter and just post the photos now. That's what everyone really wants to see anyways. I hope you enjoy them, click for larger views. :peace:

Haha Sue sent me here I knew I loved it as soon as I saw the title. Classic. Mind if I pull up my comfy armchair and have a look?

Tearing through this journal I think it's really neat how you are finding the right phenotypes to get the colour you are looking for. Impressive yields too.

Howdy Spookies ! :ciao: Take a seat anywhere you want, glad to have you aboard. :) Just in time too, a bunch of photos today and a harvest starting tomorrow morning. The Fast Buds Six Shooters are dead women walking. :)

Wow sounds exciting! Haha I'll use my comfy armchair looks like it's going to be a zinger. Gonna post a yield guess now and then see what you got? .

I'm no good at guessing. Especially these two. They didn't meet expectations in height, and we're foxtailing bad before they swelled up some. Similar height/structured plants have given me between 5 and 8 ounces before, so who knows. I suppose we'll have a better idea after they are pulled from the tent tomorrow and get the hairy eyeball, but I'll be happy with anything north of 112g dry each.

:laughtwo: Don't say that too loud, or they'll run off when you're not watching. Lol! OK, harvest party tomorrow.

Hello Harvest, my old friend,
I've come to clip with you again,
Because a Gnome softly creeping,
Left his scissors while I was sleeping,
And the vision that was planted in my brain,
Still remains,
Within the sound of Harvest.

In restless dreams I snipped alone,
Narrow leaves that I had grown,
'Neath the halo of a big grow lamp,
I turned my scissors to the green and damp,
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a butane light,
That lit the pipes,
And touched the sound of Harvest.

And in the naked light I saw,
Ten thousand buds maybe more.
Buds drying without stems,
Buds drying without seeds,
People rolling joints that they always share,
And no one dared,
Disturb the sound of Harvest.

"Fools" said I,
"You do not know, bud rot like a cancer grows,
Hear my words that I might teach you,
Smoke my plants that I might reach you"
But my words like fan leaves fell,
And echoed,
In the wells of Harvest.

And the people borrowed and paid
For the big bud I had made
And the sign flashed out its warning,
In the words that it was forming
And the signs said,
"Get it while it's still here, its better than beer,
A nickle bag will do you,
And whisper'd in the sounds of Harvest.

Six Shooter #1... 892g wet bud

Six Shooter #2... 646g wet bud

The AutoUltimates with all ties cut and spreading open.

892 + 646 = 1538
1538 x 18% = 276.8
276.8 ÷ 28 = approx 9.9oz dry

Both were foxtailed badly, and frankly a disappointment in size and yield. Hopefully the effect will make up for it. Time to sit down and burn one. Three and a half hours work, I think I'm due one. :smokin:
