No complaints here Arch.
One of my front paws needed tending and I wasn't going to be able to lift and pour buckets so I decided to try something else. This is the first time I've gotten this far with hand watering. Fingers crossed still, but it looks like I'm going to pull it off. The buckets will return around Jan 1st.

I actually have my phone alarm set for every Sunday morning at 5:30 am...I don't get up that early...it's set so if I forget to go up in the lab for a whole week it reminds me I am growing pot. My setup is so automatic it enables laziness on an Olympic level. I know I got at least a Silver medal...
I wanted to comment Tuesday when this topic came up, but I was too lazy...I think my brain was on pot.

Well, I got snagged up in some health issues myself this year. I was physically capable of lifting buckets but mentally I couldn’t motivate myself to change my DWC buckets. I had a pretty bad grow, one I’m not hoping to repeat. I am plagued by the fact I have yet to complete a hydro grow yet, despite two different attempts.
Recently, I dusted off and cleaned out an old 12 gallon bin that once kept a very healthy Northern Lights plant ( why didn’t I take a cut of this plant
) she was a fantastic bush that outgrew my diy grow box.I didn’t have the experience at the time, but if I had it to do over again, I would of flowered her anyway despite the space issue. I could have wrangled her in!
Long story short : every time I pop in here I’m motivated to give DWC a shot again. I know I’d love it.
I keep forgetting to mention, @Archiweedies , cool user name. Every time I see it, I think, "Give me a bud long enough and a paper on which to place it, and I shall move the world." (From Archimedes' "Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world.")

Glad to have you aboard. This is going to be small scale seed farming this time around, but there are great things to come.
I have sooo been there. Spent a good year there before I found a reason to get out of bed. Ironically the daily needed attention of DWC is what turned me around. Apathy and depression are always lurking around the corner....best advice...? Stay medicated.

Some healthy looking kolas forming up there. See, i knew you wouldnt kill em. My dirty girl is still growing strong, as well(surprisingly). Im thinking about using it as a mother for a sog hempy grow. Im back to scrog at the moment but im always up for something new. Keeps it all more interesting.
Your still using the cobs, right? Do they chunk up the buds pretty good? Im almost saved up for a new light and probably gonna pick up one of the hlg qbs. They seem to be the cats meow. Heat killed my last go. Most of my buds were big but fluffy-ish. Not terrible but not terrific, either.

Ahh that’s right, I remember we have the same lights. I’m curious how you like yours as well. Youv certainly ran them through the paces.

I can assure you it's nothing I've done. Most likely because they are weeds and will grow anywhere. 
The last grow was 8 plants with 8 COBs. About half were hard nugs, and half fluffy buds. It seemed to be strain dependant though. With three SSDC going now, and all different phenos, I should be able say soon if there's any difference.
Heat is anything but a problem now. With no extraction fan the tent runs 81° F & 70%. Turn on the fan and it's room temp and 30% like the rest of the house within two minutes.
Flowering time ?
Beats me. Nearly every auto I've grown has gone 90 days or better. Breeders often claim 60-70 days from sprout in soil and this is my first time away from DWC. Soooo, <shrug> sometime soon ? So far I'm liking them. Less heat, less electric bill, same harvest.
Which Mars did you convert ? Did BigSmo have a hand in the conversion ? The reason I'm asking is I have an old Mars 1200 with a bunch of burnt red diodes and the thought of gutting it has occurred to me.

I converted a Mars II 400w. It worked out so good. He held my hand with regards to how to do it, I just posted the process. I documented the process on the site BigSm0 operates on. Im gonna PM you the link though and if anyone else would like it send me a PM.

I assume you ended up with a more useful, efficient, and modern light (and with the same power consumption?). Did it drastically change your panel's footprint, though, either increase or decrease it (or just change its shape, which is also something to be aware of)?
I've got a 160-watt "dots" LED panel. It was given to me with the (repeated) assurance/insistence that it was "fully capable" of growing and flowering nine square feet. It's sufficient, more or less, if one is growing autos and, thus, running it 18 hours per day throughout the flowering cycle... fox six, if you're not too worried about density. It's alright when hung at a proper height over a space that it can illuminate, but that's not nine square feet. If growing photoperiodic strains, I doubt it'd be six. Four would probably be pretty good. But, me, "T Trust Your Fellow Man S," I set it up in a 3'x3' space, lol. I've thought about trying to upgrade it, somehow.
But my buddy is finally ready to do a full grow indoors (he's only started his outdoor plants inside previously). I'm giving him some autos (you might know the breeder, RM ) , so I'm thinking now about giving it to him and telling him to make a 3'x2' space, or maybe a 4'x2' since I think he'll end up with three T5 sticks before too long. Or something that they'll fit in but that'll also accommodate the panel's footprint, IDK. He likes to get high and is in pain a lot, so I'd like to see him make it to harvest without getting disappointed. He said, "I'll hang a sheet for walls," and I told him to go to a department store and ask if they have any refrigerator boxes and grab a can of flat white spray paint on the way out the door. It's that kind of low-budget grow (he's depending on ME for equipment, lmao, so that's to be expected).
