Rex's Perpetual Hydroponics, LED, 4x4 Tent Using TBC 10 Gal System: All Are Welcome, Come Learn & Help

Clones prob would love lil enzyme + vit boost straight after theyve established first roots :yummy:

And let us, ME at least know how you like them! Also still interested in their salts
Will do! Just the fact that it's powdered Enzymes is a bonus- less room taken on nute shelf :high-five:
0ppm other than what's in the tap water. Without roots the plants aren't taking up nutes. The only thing I ever added to the Cloninator water was some H2O2 to keep algae from forming. I didn't fertilize until after the rooted stems were planted.
Interesting and thank you. The Interesting part is the wide range of approaches used by everyone.

And yup, I should have thought of plain old water- the oldest and most method to date.
So basically you use a sterile approach for it.

Perfect and thank you. I probably won't do the sterile approach (i love my microbes), but a low level PPM makes perfect sense to me now.
I'll probably just have a weak cal mag, with some Kelp, Enzymes and Microbial Mass.

Hey folks, hope you are all off to a good start of the week.
Today is just a small photo update showing the trichome development on the plants, and I must say, the trichomes on the tips of the Gorilla Glue Auto is just crazy. I've never grown a plant with trichomes packed like this. It almost looks bleached from afar, but when looking closer you can see the whiteness is from trichomes.

Anyhow, enjoy and have a great day everyone (and all deficiencies are stopped, I won't be removing the partially damaged leaves at this stage in flower).

Thanks Jon!
She's no prize winner for looks :laughtwo: , but I think she'll be fantastic rolled into a spliff. She's probably the roughest finish on a plant that I'll have had to date. And truthfully I'm not bothered at all by it. I probably should be, but really for whatever reason I'm just content with letting this grow be done, rough finish and all.

So time for an update!

Day 72

Cabinet temp: 25C avg
Cabinet RH%: 40~45%
Previous PPM: 987
Current PPM: 734
Adjusted PPM to: 828
PH: 6.1
Res temps: 19.7C
Water level: steady down of 3-5 L per day

Well what a rough grow this one has turned out, looks wise. Truthfully though Ive been taking a bit of a break, and the grow shows it. Oh well, its needed, just as the meds from the grow are needed. But im also not too worried, as theyre still bulking, and at this point, i could limp them across the finish and still have a spectacular harvest. Not the best attitude, nor an approach that id really recommend, but ive just been exhausted mentally lately.
That being said, I do regularly pop my head in, and stop to smell the flowers :cheesygrinsmiley:
And oh boy- that Blackberry has quite the potent lemon Berry smell on her
Her leaves are in a sad state, but once trimmed off, she'll have beautiful stacked colas.

20220327_220029.jpg

20220327_220555.jpg

The Wappa Autoflower...i need to put a string in on her. Ill never ever do small net cups on a large plant with only water as a medium again!!! Her weight keeps pulling her through the lid, making me pull her back up.... and damn me she's got quite the weight on her....

20220327_220626.jpg

20220327_220630.jpg

The Gorilla Glue. She's now my favorite to look at. Some of her colas stacked nicely, some have some solid mid flowers, others a bit of larf. All seem rather extremely dense, and coated with trichomes....I finally was able to capture a photo that shows a bit of how her trichomes look in person....

I've cut their feed down for now, as their not liking the higher PPM, and are starting to slow down their intake. The end is near.... :laughtwo:

And that's all for now! I hope everyone has a great weekend!

You're right Rexer those are some ugly plants. You want me to take them off your hands for you?
Those buds are looking nice and trichy!

Thanks for that LKABudMan
After giving them a good look over today, I think I shall keep em. :cheesygrinsmiley:
Looking good bro. Cool color on that GG and I bet that BB is gonna be wicked.
Thanks Regrowth!

That GG pic is a favorite of mine now. It shows the pure white reflection the trichs are giving it.

And I gave them a good look over today. And upon closer inspection, they are just about ready for chop...maybe a week or less.

The larger colas have some foxtailing going on. I light stressed them - no regrets on it either.

The GG is getting very close to being ready to chop. There might be a bit more swelling, but she is signaling quickly that she is getting near the end. Her pistils have mostly turned brown (80-90%), and she's not throwing out new ones.

The Blackberry is just about the same. She has a few more white pistils near the top, especially the larger cola, but her final days are also at hand.

The Wappa is a Wappa of a conundrum. She's got really thick cola tops, and the foxtailing is very significant on a few of her colas. I was able to awkwardly move a few of the Blackberrys branches out of the way to see some of the Wappa's mids. She still has a few white pistils left, but she too is starting to finish up.

So I took out the scope for some trichome pictures. None of them are ready to chop yet.

I was being serious I love the Blackberry and think it looks badass. Jeez, if this is your lazy, mentally exhausted effort you're doing pretty well Rex. Your harvest would already be great. Recharge your batteries my friend. May I suggest a day off outdoors with a dog maybe and a bar sliver? That would reset me.

You really nailed some great trichome detail in a couple of those GG day 73/74 pictures. Of course it helps that the GG is just soaking in multiple blankets of the damn things. Lmao!

Hey Jon!
Thanks brother :green_heart: - for some reason I overlooked this notification this morning.

Indeed this is my lazy effort- gotta conserve that energy for the big upcoming grows.

Hehe maybe I've just come to expect too much of myself. I Gotta learn to follow my own advice more, and relax.

First lumber shipment for the grow rooms are in. I still have several more to buy. I gotta do it peicemeal in my purchases, as the costs have skyrocketed again.

And great minds think alike. The pup and I went for a little walk down the road and back for some fresh air.:)

The spring weather is slowly coming in, and snow is melting, maple syrup is being made again (that's when you know it's really spring ;) ).

Thanks man, you guys really upped the game with those mic stands :laughtwo: . I do it free hand holding the scope on the plants and watching my phone to take the pics (I use the cheap wifi model).

That GG is unlike anything I've seen before for trichomes :yummy:

Yeah it's amazing on the trichs for sure! Btw - gotta give the credit to Shed on the mic stand, he's the one who hipped me to it. Can't remember if he invented it or got it from someone else, but that's how it came to me. You'll be fine man, if you don't want your harvest I'll take it. Lmao!

curious as to what PPM people are feeding the unrooted clones?

This is a trick question isn’t it? I see some of the others fell for it.

^^ this. No roots, no nutes. ;) They hydrate through their leaves until they get roots started. I see from the exchanges that you’re alongside all of that. Late to the pages (again) I was going to delete the quotes and go about my day, but this..

But im also not too worried, as theyre still bulking, and at this point, i could limp them across the finish and still have a spectacular harvest. Not the best attitude, nor an approach that id really recommend, but ive just been exhausted mentally lately.

I don’t want to argue out of habit or anything. There is nothing undesirable about a spectacular harvest is there?
Anyway. The best attitude, IMO, is the one that protects your wellbeing.
You put a lot of time and care into setting up your garden to be almost on auto pilot. That was old Rex’s gift to his future Rex (you). For your wellbeing. The rewards are real. Not just on harvests reached and reaped, but on quality of life.
Everybody needs more dog time.
:green_heart:

if this is your lazy, mentally exhausted effort you're doing pretty well Rex.

:high-five: You are/were the vocalist in your band? That’s singing it how it is!
:cough: <— that always looks like a microphone to me.

I looked for signs that you’d dropped the ball, Rex and I didn’t see them. The one with the tatty tips and the sick trichs?

There’s balance in your garden. Sometimes to see the right point of view you have to put your nose right on the fulcrum. You have a great attitude.

Lol. Great post DD. Yes, I wrote many of the songs. Not so much the vocalist, only backups. But I wrote and arranged most of our originals. More dog time!!!

Thanks DD . And I mean it. And thank you to all who wrote some encouragement.

No trick questions for the clones, I genuinely wanted to see how most people do it. I've half assed it before for some fun. But I wanted to see what a good conversation might shake loose. I've got a bad memory so I've forgotten much of the gold I've read on Here about clones :laughtwo: . But I'm set straight now.

im glad you didn't delete your quotes.

I'm usually one of the most upbeat people you'll meet, but some personal stresses have added to my anxieties lately.
Nothing unsurmountantable.

Often I set too high of an expectation for myself and give myself grief. It's a bad habit :laughtwo: and I'm working on it.

And after giving the plants a good look over, the Blackberry cal deficiencies are just an eye sore, but once those leaves are gone, she'll look great. And i was being dramatic, which is out of character.

And I'm quite happy and will be even happier in a few days when they all get the chop:yummy:

Thank you my friend

Looking great over here Rex! Your getting close to the end the best part of the grow…other then the trimming lol.

Boy does that sound familiar! I do the same thing not only with growing but almost everything in life, it can lead to a lot of unnecessary frustration, I can be pretty quick tempered lol. Keep your chin up buddy your doing a great job, I would be pretty pleased if those were my plants! You don’t smoke the leaves after all!

Thanks N420

I had been telling myself the same thing. For whatever reason, my eyes just would fixate on those spots. And some (non grow related) stresses made it an easy focal point.

I'm totally over it, and looking forward to seeing the last bud swells. And I'm more than pleased with that Gorilla Glue and Wappa. The Blackberry would best be grown nextime in soil or coco, not mixed with 2 other strains in a recirculating system.
Oh yeah I bought a bag of coco. Figured why not?

Your photos passed the sticky test, my finger stuck to the screen.
:thumb:

Way to grow, Rex!
Thanks DAB!
I appreciate it.
Whatever little slump I was in, it's passed. Big thank you to the 420 fam  .

The stresses haven't changed much, but my attitude on them has.

A bit early for the Blackberry Auto, but the Gorilla Glue Auto and the Wappa Auto are close enough to say:

Chop time! :cheesygrinsmiley: :ganjamon::yahoo:

I'm just taking a quick smoke break. :hookah:
I've started with the Blackberry.
I'm sorry I ever said or thought anything negative about her:laugh:...cause her branches trimmed up are heavy (and gorgeous) AF. A few of her branches are the heaviest I've ever grown.
And like a sculpture coming from a plain rock, her beauty is truly undeniable to me.
