Oiyoiyoiy,, that’s a hell of a pretty bud y got there Rexer.. an a sh*t load of it to boot..So...remember the first two plants that were harvested?
Well, the jars are ranging in an RH of ~55% - ~65%, and I finally had the time today to get then weighed.
The first one, and smallest BBxNL came in at 112g.
The second one, came in at 243g
Now, full disclosure. The first plant was wet trimmed leaving more sugar leaves then I normally would, as the fridge drying is new to me.
Both batches have been heavily sampled, and I leave some stems in...I'm also not the best trimmer!
The effects are nice and relaxing, and for a nice surprise doesn't give lots of munchies. But just makes you want to melt into the chair, especially the edibles made from the trim. Which...the magic butter machine worked wonders for. It's a product I would highly recommend as even cleaning it was easy (it has a self cleaning function that does most of the hard part).
The SuperSkunk is still drying, I checked earlier and the fridge was around 3C with 66%RH
Some nug pics
Thanks @Bud Love I'm quite happy with her, and some has a one week cure kinda smell already...its nice to go from expensive medical grade crappy stuff- to home grown stuff that helps the pain better with low cost.Oiyoiyoiy,, that’s a hell of a pretty bud y got there Rexer.. an a sh*t load of it to boot..
243g fme.. what a show.. that’s like erm, mm, erm 8.6 oz or there about… say whaaaat..
I think the magic butter machine is on the next buy list for me, pick your grey matter for the ways of the butter makers when I get it
Peace an buds mate
I'm beaming with pride and have a big smile nowCongrats on the chop…. another one bites the dust! Beautiful colors in your garden - really deep purple on Superskunk and bright pink on the BB X NL, just freaking wow!
Hey brother I hope all is good. I’ve been passing by time to time in the background waiting for her to come down so I could congratulate you on getting all them ladies across the finish line. So congrats brother on one hell of a grow. So, the SuperSkunk is still drying as you can see
I've begun to finally clean out my buckets. Really wish I had gotten to this sooner....
No fabulous root shots @copperrein as I waited too long, but judging from what I see...the SuperSkunk especially had some prolific roots.
Thanks KC!Hey brother I hope all is good. I’ve been passing by time to time in the background waiting for her to come down so I could congratulate you on getting all them ladies across the finish line. So congrats brother on one hell of a grow.
I had no doubt in my mind it would all come together for ya as you deserve a win brother. I’m glad it worked out for you
So with a fridge full of free smoke what’s next?
Play safe and enjoy everyone
OMG your harvests! Dude, you rock.
And so you should be brill mateI'm beaming with pride and have a big smile now
Your 420 family is always around for yaI wouldn't have made it through this one without you and the many others who helped.
Fire up the system lol you know me I don’t like to have my pumps out of water for more then a weekI want to get ahead in my medical supply,
My freezer is your freezer my friend lolI won't be stuck buying.
Rexer…I’m in for the full hydro show…I may learn something. Will catch up soon. CheersA little background to start. This is my legal medical garden. I could never grow anything, even chives would die on me in soil. Then I started learning Hydroponics using the Kratky method. I grew regular lettuce, zucchini, squash, etc. Using this method. It was the easiest way to get a good grasp on Hydroponics and how root systems can adapt to environments. It was developed by professor Kratky.
I designed and built a small grow cabinet with a flood and drain system that was able to get me roughly 80-100g per plant.
Now, fast forward and here I'm starting my dream setup. I'm doing very little DIY in this system, they'll be plenty of that further down the line.
So- let's start with the environment, as it's one of the most important. I'll be starting this journal using a 4x4 Gorilla grow tent. I have an 8 inch vivosun fan for extraction which will be vented directly outside (filtered during flower). I also have a 6 inch Ipower intake fan for an active intake system. Oscillating fans inside to keep air movement extremely high (I'm a big believer that this is an extremely important part that many don't invest enough attention to.). High air movement inside prevents a lot of mold (PM), makes branches stronger, creates an environment that some pests hate, and keep temperatures evenly distributed.
I'll be using a 10 gallon system I bought from The Bucket Company. Yes you could build your own, but I really love the way they did it and decided it was the one for me. It allows me to do various forms of Hydroponics (top drip, ebb and flow, coco, aeroponics, etc). And I intend to experiment a lot using this system. It even is built to do/handle soil.
A trellis system is also going to be used.
For keeping my reservoir temps optimum I'll be using a chiller.
Light: Well, we all know how important this is. I over spent and did it knowingly. It was the only criticism I could see for this light. I'll be starting this journal under a HLG 650R. It's designed more for a 5x5 (and that was the plan, but I would have to wait several months more thanks to covid to get a Gorilla one). "Each HLG 650R uses 4 custom designed full spectrum high efficiency white light quantum boards with Samsung LM301H and Deep Red LED 660nm . This unit is dimmable, with wattage output from 60 to 610 watts".
Water- I'll be using a reverse osmosis system to have a clean slate for adding nutrients. This keeps it very simple and easy to control.
Sensors- I love my gadgets and they make life much easier with my disability. I have several Inkbirds that will control temp (a portable AC, fans, etc). Different ones will control humidity (humidifier and dehumidifier). A smart power bar keeps my lights and watering systems fully automated.
Nutes: TBA, most likely MC for now with additives.
PH pens and TDS pens are critical equipment for growing Hydroponics (IMO). Or something to monitor these numbers to keep things in check.
A camera system will allow me to remotely view everything. I'll be using Wyze cameras, they're cheap and amazing.
Some of what's listed above I have on hand already, the rest is now ordered and on the way.
But the clock starts now. Auto NL x Big Bud dropped a few minutes ago.
In the event this journal gets long- feel free to skip ahead!
Anytime brother, and never feel the need to catch up! Thanks for dropping by!Rexer…I’m in for the full hydro show…I may learn something. Will catch up soon. Cheers
I use TPS cal mag in my organic soil grows start to finish…2 ml/gallon. This had made a difference.I cannot comment on foliar sprays as I’ve never had to use them. However on the subject of supplementing cal/mag with the MC, I had the same problem initially, quickly grabbed a bottle of “TPS OAC Cal/Mag” and resolved that issue immediately. TPS has no nitrogen or other nutrients other then organic calcium and magnesium. If you add that to your MC regiment you can add as much cal/mag as you want, which is what I do now. I only run megacrop, TPS cal/mag, and Bud Candy.
This is my room 2 weeks into flower using nothing but the above mentioned.
I looked at the TPS stuff- looks great, just sadly not that available in Canada. I eventually got the cal mag dialed in, thanks to KCCO. I knew the LEDs would require me to add more, just hadn't realized at that point how much.I use TPS cal mag in my organic soil grows start to finish…2 ml/gallon. This had made a difference.
All good brother, appreciate the kind words and helpful insight. The cardboard actually worked like a charm. I've got a shed full of cardboard boxes from the move, so it'll be cardboard shelves for the next while lol.well done , enjoy my friend,
just chopping the big cheese today my self, had a tester and its great, there are little net teddy bear nets you can buy dirt cheap mate , they are 3 to 5 tier and they are brilliant for drying racks without paying stupid prices

sorry edit was on my first coffee lol just see they are in a fridge i am on my third cup now
Thanks StoneOtter!Awesome grow Rexer! Nothing like a full fridge and more! Beautiful work!
Thanks cr8grow, i really appreciate it. It was quite the grow and I have hopes to use the system for quite a while. The bud so far has been great, it just relaxes and numbs the pain nicely.Rexer, All caught up. Wow, a lot happened since I landed here a few days ago. MOM, nice. The system rocks. Love the purple orange bud man. I did learn some stuff. Cheers
