Renegade's Hydro Flux - Featuring TwiLight Group's 432 Watt Spider COB LED

I knew I wasn't crazy....LOL.

It was more hard to believe than just saying blueberry of sorts. It smelled blue...LOL.

Great journal my friend:bravo: now since i had to ask Mr Skunny what purply smelled like i have to ask you.....what exactly does blue smell like:)lol:)

Try it Engineer you'll be surprised.

I do this as a hobby so I look for seeds with character.

And I'm a fan of the fruity smelling and tasting ones....

As for the move....

If you don't see me hear next weekend you know I killed some SOB for dropping my 65"....NOT LOL....but sorta...LOL.

might give this strain a run - congrats on completing your journal, and hope the moves goes/went well :peace:

i Agree with everybody here, it's a tutorial and a report, not just some words like what was daily producing. Congratz mate.

And you know what i'm very happy to arrive for the conclusion, it could have been worse like arriving on a closed journal :)

Need to find now what is a blue smell, will know that next yard, current is here, a simple as possible new grow :
Tad Broken English 3rd Grow - 1 THC Bomb -1 Local Caribbean Seed - Mars II 400W/Soil

My friend, can you give me some feedback about backbuilding ? i have to finish the read of this yard but spent some time on LA backbuilding tuto.

Tad,

Regarding bud backbuilding.... To tell you the truth I really don't know. I need to do a run where I don't backbuild to know the difference.

I've only used this techniquic, I will have to do one without to tell you the difference.

I'll tell you this...you've seen the pics. IMHO the buds were very skinny after tipping them. But what the hell do I know....

HOWEVER!!!! The fat, tight, thickness of the skinny buds gave me the impression that bud backbuilding works. Tight with some mass to the center. You can even feel the weight in them.

I was very disappointed in the weight...but what the hell do I know...LOL. I'm being told 50 grams is average for a plant grown in this way so ok....LOL.

Yes, I was imagining a pound or two...but then I woke up...LMFAO....LOL.

My fucking brother sent a pic of cola the size of a baseball....no kidding. His legal outdoor grow out of SO CALI. DICK....LOL.

Yup just had to cull the auto cross as nanners were coming to frequently. So stuck her in the dark and boiled the kettle and just did the roots with plenty of boiling water. She is still in the dark now! We shall see either tomoz or day after about the chop!

The other thing I want to try is the baking of the bud at 120 for half hour! I can't remember who it was now, but aapparently you can get more of a couch lock hit from bud taken early if this is done??

I may have totally miss understood etc and would love the details etc if the original poster has the time :)

How to Decarboxylate Buds....

PlanetJ...
If you want more couch-lock from a meds-batch, you can decarboxylate the buds by putting them in a oven-proof and airtight container and 'baking' them for half an hour @ 122C/252F. What this does is first convert THCA to THC (this normally happens during smoking/vaping) and if you continue, it will convert most THC to CBN.

PlanetJ...
If you want the best high, you should probably harvest now. You could leave a branch or two on there, and see what more ambers does for you. Alternatively, you could pluck off a little popcorn bud, and quickdry it in an oven @ 50C and see where you are at now. Be aware that heat degrades THC as well .. so quickdry will make the couch-lock effect a bit more pronounced then a properly dried and cured version of the same harvest.

Green Dreamz...
Nice share .....but i have a question about decarbing the weed for more of a couchlock........if by vaping or smoking the weed you stated that it decarbs then......if you do it in the oven first and then smoke or vape it wont you lose some of the potency.....now this is just my thinking but what happens to the decarbed bud when it is smoked or vaped....since essentially you are decarbing it twice:)? not trying to step on your toes.....just that was new to me......King John did tell me to decarb it before making butter, but hadnt heard to increase couch lock......hopefully my question makes sense PlanetJ.

PlanetJ...
What happens when you decarb is that you convert (by heat) the THCA to THC. It 'activates' the THC .. you could then eat it and get high, whereas when you would eat normally dried and cured bud, you would not. At the same time tho, it degrades THC to CBN. CBN is responsible for what people call couch-lock .. the feeling of not wanting or able to get up any more.

Decarbing alters the chemical compounds in there, by heat. If you smoke or vape decarbed bud, you will just be inhaling a lot more CBN then you will THC. The temperature at which you decarb is a lot lower then at which you smoke or vape. If you decarb too long, you will have messed up your product.

So when you normally smoke, the main thing that happens is THCA to THC, and some THC to CBN. When you decarb first, you'll have taken care of the THCA to THC conversion, and while smoking you'll get a lot more CBN because the heat of the burning tip will conver a part of the present THC to CBN.

If you decarb even longer, there will be no THC left in there, and everything will have degraded to CBN .. and be more sedative then anything else.

It will not be less potent, just have a very different effect.

I have no toes to step on, and everything I 'know' is accepted from other sources after reasonable investigation .. it is not first hand knowledge. It works for me tho ;)[/QUOTE]

1. An air tight container for the oven? What are you using? I can't think of something that's air tight and oven safe.
If you look at the graph on the site I linked, you'll see different temperatures and times .. I just put mine in a weck jar, and place it in the oven @ 223F/106C with an open lid for 10 minutes, to let air expand and warm .. then close it for the rest of the hour, and let it cool in the oven.

At that temperature, nothing much will happen with the rubber packing. It requires a stable oven temp tho, and not those cheap ass things that hover between 80 and 120 when you set it to 106

i don't speak correctly ur language mates so i won't go in a "Decarboxylate" talk :)

But i may told you all i feel very comfortable for my second grow with all experiences you shared. I think i will back build 50% of my actual plant just as a first experience.

And about your 50 grammes, 12 weeks veg for 50 grammes is the bad point. i think a fluxed plant need real hard light like Sun or MH Sodium lamp to worth it. Of course the fluxed structure of the plant can better take the light and allow you a good result but our led, as good as they can be build, need to be more powerfull to create bigger and more denses buds.

One one my friend here ordered a MARS II 1600 and actually does a comparison run with 400W CFL for vegging and 400W sodium for flowering. For the moment he can say the clone under led was better looking and slightly bigger at the end of the veg period but look really bigger and more dense now under sodium (week 6 or 7 flowering).

Three days ago i was thinking about a next fluxed yard but considering i'll certainly use LED for one year, i need to find a different training led compliant.

With love but broken english
