Renaissance Man's First Official Grow: Blueberry OG, Gorilla Zkittles & Cream Caramel In Soil

Haha, I don't know. I gotta be close though. I'm in Southern California, I feel that temperature often. I don't know if investing into a thermometer is necessary though, not that it's expensive. Maybe it is necessary.
No I was just joshing with ya RM...aaaah, the beauty of So Cal temps....luckyyyy

Day 44 of GZ
Day 37 of BB and CC
1 day since water/feed

So after doing all my adjustments and waking up to the same problem thinking it might be heat, I think that the color of the leaves of GZ and BB are too dark. I will lower my nutrients by .5g/gal next feed in about 4 or 5 days

Go girls go!!! Man come a long way since that damn ceramic pot and before!!! Looks like heat curl to me on the R-especially because it's right on top and she is the tallest...I see the same happening to the northern moat point on the left also...those yellow tips are a sign of heat...I know more of that now...happened to G before I moved the light up...

That's what I thought too but what are signs of Nitrogen toxicity?

Day 46 for GZ
Day 39 for BB and CC
3 days since water/feed

Here are my observations at this point of the grow.

Gorilla Zkittles
She is growing fairly well. There were some deficiencies that were happening before transplant that may be from rootbound. Since transplant, not much more of those signs except for a couple of fan leaves towards the top that had some yellowing around the leaves. The top of the canopy had been "taco'ing" and since I have raised the lights, it seems to have stopped. So I raised the P1000 up to 21" above the canopy. Manufacturer said 16"-20" at this stage, but those obviously are recommendations and I tried to push it too soon. It seems to be at a good height now. I feel like there is some excess Nitrogen due to the leaves being a darker green. I am contemplating dropping my nutes down .5g/ gal on next feeding. I should be upping these nutes in a few weeks, so I'm unsure if I should let the plant tough it out or not. I have a day or two to decide that. She seems to be a little taller and the nodes seemed to be further apart early on but tightening up. I guess that should be good. I "practiced" supercropping a couple of branches and they repaired and started growth within hours. It gives me an idea of how I will need to be suppercropping before flip.

Blueberry OG
This one is definitely more girthy than GZ. She seems to be growing at the same rate as GZ although a week behind. Her leaves look dark to me also and having the same dilemma as I am with GZ regarding nutrient feeding. Other than that, she looks strong and again, trying to contemplate which branches will be supercropped. I noticed a slight leaf taco'ing on her also, so I raised the P600 to 21" above also.

Cream Caramel
She is the runt of the three and started off slow. She is now starting to get some growth spurts, however, she still looks fragile. Her branches look skinny but she's growing still. Her color looks better than the other two. Because she is the shortest, she is now about 23" from the light. Not sure if that is stunting her growth a bit. Maybe I'll look for a short stand.

Lastly, I'm thinking I will be flipping on Day 61 which would be Nov 30. Maybe I'll make it day 62 so easier to count.

And one lastly, lastly thing. There is a sweet vanilla smell and I haven't been able to pinpoint which plant it may be coming from, but it is noticeable once I open the tent door. I think it's coming from Gorilla Zkittles. Hopefully it will be more defined soon.

Happy Monday

If it was nitrogen I think you would have more clawing RM...the green is usually super dark and sheen looking

I see you moved them from being so close to the light...they seem happier with that..Did I miss when they got Cal-Mag last? The vanilla I'll bet ya is Blueberry or CC...my bberry smells like vanilla to me a little, even my blue cheese girls a little. You're gonna get a more Fruity smell from that Skittlez I think like I am my Bubblegum

I've been feeding 5mL per feeding. It might be too much, but I'm not sure what to look for.

Yeah, I stuck my nose deep into BB and maybe it's coming from her. I can't wait to smell the upcoming fruit!

Wait, it's SUPPOSED to be super dark and sheen? Because that is what I see in GZ

Day 47 of GZ
Day 40 of BB and CC
Water Feed day

It looked like the girls were thirsty today. I have no consistency whether I water in the morning, afternoon or evening. Today it happened at 4:00pm.

I decided to give GZ and BB .5g / gal less today which equaled 1.6g / 1.5L
CC continued to get the 1.8g/ 1.5L

All three got 5ml of Calmag each.

I'm getting antsy to HST but I put on the calendar for a week from now.

I’ve just realised our plants are a similar age. Ideally I would have flipped last Sunday. But I’m locking in Sunday 5th Dec for flip.

Omg we will flower together! And you know what they say aye? Friends who flower together stay friends forever. Full disclosure no one says that… but they totes should. Lolllllingggg.

I was trying not to mention that because your plant is huge! I think after I do some training next week (probably will do it this week because I am impatient) it will start to grow wider and bushier. Unfortunately, I'm trying to keep it somewhat short as my tent is vertically challenged.

Now it has been said. If you search it online it will bring you here... haha.. just hashtag it and start a trend.
#friendswhoflowertogetherstayfriendsforever .... done.

Tbh she is the biggest plant I’ve ever grown. My friend had a mimosa and I remember him saying his plant was a boss so I’m thinking maybe genetics. She is going to be a monster to get in and out of my grow room.

Mimmy is short, but she is wide as fuck. Mainly coz how I train.

Trala the trendsetter lolllllingggg.

Droopy leaves is #1...discoloration, yellowing..

Pinch her instead of trying to get a whiff

They look like they are not dark and sheen lol GZ is not in nitrogen toxicity...I would be the first to tell you SOS brother lol

Count me in RM!!! Stoked that you are here in our community. I'm a few pages behind but I'll get caught up soon enough. I'll pop in and out. Again, welcome and blessings!
:passitleft:
Thanks Baked! The first page or two is very misleading as to where I am now but it has definitely been an adventure and some learning all along
