Ok I just wanted to make some journal notes;
I decided to revegetate a Swiss Cheese clone that went into flower outside, I trimmed off all the buds and left the lil' shoots to regrow, and after a week under CFL's it's starting to grow! It makes me quite happy, although I remember I said I was "all cheesed out", now that I'm puffing on nicely cured SC buds, I am realizing that I don't want to lose this strain and pheno. I really like it. Luckily it's growing back quite quick and could bring a potentially nice harvest in fall/winter, we'll see. Also, I am revegetating a JHxC91xNYCD clone, as well as two of the recently harvested Blueberry specimens. So far only the SC and JH cross are starting to finally revegetate, the Blueberry specimens are a roll of the dice, but hopefully in a week will start growing back. Given that these 3 strains reveg, I will have my three favorite strains back in action and ready for some growing.
Meanwhile, I have the new vegetative seedlings which are starting really take off. I've been treating them well, gave them a nice bat guano tea and a sea kelp spray. Not too long it will be time to transplant into the new Dr. Earth soil (using a different soil than last year), but I am going to mix this new soil in with all of the recycled soil that I've been collecting in a pile to freshen it up, that way it's not a fortune to pot 10 plants, each in 5 gallon containers. Plus, I'm expecting some males..
Blackberry plants finally starting to take off too, I think if I get things potted up in the next 2 weeks, they should be in a pretty good position for summer growth, and decent yield for September. Nothing like last years monster though.
I have this one Aurora Confidential plant that I decided to do an experiment on, since I'm revegging those other specimens in the force flower chamber, I decided to toss the AUC back into the wild, having more light than before, she's growing a bit more leaf on the colas, but still is flowering and is also starting to stink up. It's a small yielding plant that is about 3-4 feet tall. I was concerned because the plant had trichomes for a long time but they didn't smell like anything at all, but now finally starting to stink. I want to see how well it continues to flower, after being exposed to force flower for multiple weeks. It
should foxtail like crazy, which is what it's starting to do. So it should be a interesting "fun" plant to watch grow, and not really depend on it for yield, more just like a spiritual companion, but if I get anything out of it, I'll be thankful.
Current things to watch out for are pests. Avoiding early worms and fungus gnats are key to the vigorous growth that is needed, monitoring for them now is equally as important as ever. One leaf gone in the seedling stage could mean the difference between many grams of Cannabis by the end, kind of interesting how that works.
Anyway, that's all my journal notes for now.
