Relaxed's Outdoor Medical Grow - 2015

Why hello and good day to you sir..... I see your garden is in order and a wonderful sight. I also noticed your title and congrat`s to you on that as well. The investment of your time and talents only makes it fitting. I have been up and down the east coast the last 9 months, building log homes ( a crew member ) for the life styles of the rich and want-abees. It is straight up cash and expense`s payed so any garden plans here are on hold. Plus it is 100+ Florida summer time so....

Have gained a few contacts in NC and Kentucky that have combined 50 years invested in proliferating and nurturing. So looking to wrap up the traveling and getting to digging in the next month or so. But the cash is hard to walk away from compared to the M/F 40`s that are out there.

On a short brake from the building and glad I stopped by to get a pick me up. Your buds are always a pleasure to view, and as this company tests. Chainsaws and insurance reasons...bummer... But, I have a great imagination and feeling warm and fuzzy just looking!! Great to see your going strong and your work and time have earned fitting recognition. As I hope to be posting soon and will try to follow the guide-lines...!!! ...Peace.....

:Namaste: :thumb: :bravo:

Howdy Brotha! Hope you're doing well, sounds like you are. Thanks for clicking through and for the kind words. :ciao:

Jack Dog doing well, these two plants are almost ready to take some clones off.
IMG_54053.JPG

Overall things are doing well, just waiting for the plants to grow and take a few clones. Also I got real lucky with this Swiss Cheese pheno, love this herb! The Jack Dog pheno in reveg also stinks a lot, even veg, that might say something about how much it stinks in flower :circle-of-love:

:Namaste:

im gonna grow me a cheese one day if I get around to it
not gonna buy any seeds anytime soon
Looks Great Brotha Aloha and have a Great Tomorrow :thumb:

That's a fast flip of the Swiss reverting back. If I remember right it is a aggressive grower. I see your staying busy. Also seen someone asking about Mothers Finest. I know someone who works with afew of them. I seen a great SOG grow he did. Plant grown in a single cola thing makes some 'huge' main colas. I don't remember the smoke but I do the plants. You know with the weather you got,,, the sky wood be the limit with a controlled greenhouse..
You know the strain I'm playing with, church, looks a lot like Swiss cheese. It is a Swiss variant. A little lime green hybrid. Hear gut' problems. I got a lot of them also sucks. Hopefully it's nothing you can't handle or won't be able to get rid of.

Being successful on your seed project paid off immensely huh? :bravo: Aloha Brotha and Have a wonderful day :thumb:

Hi there brotha NW, yeah the SC pheno is a vigorous one, so happy I scored the pheno, I love the herb and you're right it cures so very well! Definitely very vigorous, it's going to be a handful of work to maintain this beast :MoreNutes:

Cheers and Happy Growing. Hope everyones garden's are growing well :Namaste:

Still Making them Brotha grew out one of the sour diesel seeds wasn't too bad
got the hgk one going now and im gonna do a blue dream x gdp run after since I got me a female I took some cuttings
after that I gotta buy more cs
Great Weekend to you Brotha :thumb:

Journal notes:

Okay so the humidity has been killer for weeks, twas this Mexican hurricane that came on in. Typical June Gloom weather, this is the exact reason why it's good to have all spring buds harvested before June to avoid loss to rot and mold.

Speaking of the fungus, the humidity has not let up and it's constantly 80% humidity. My Kerala x Skunks are not liking it, they started to get powder mold on the leaf serrations, and it has spread to pretty much, mostly all of the seedlings. Also, the plants were overwatered and overfertilized so they're really upset with me, I had no choice, I could either let all the fungus gnat larvae eat all my newly grown root hairs (who were freshly colonizing mycorrhizae), so the Azamax drench is what got 'em overwatered. But it worked, the fungus gnats are dead that I'm happy for that. I've been culling and weeding out crappy specimens and assumed males that I don't have time for - long and spindly type of plants who grow slow.

Good news is with my Swiss Cheese mother and Jack Dog mom + their clones, they're looking good, they are so vigorous I could probably not even worry too much about the lil' seedlings and still be able to make due for the fall. The Swiss Cheese won't let me down.

Anyway, so yeah - the seedlings are overwatered, have nitrogen toxicity, and have splotches of PM over them. Being locked up in a humid tent with non-direct sunlight didn't help so hopefully I can nurse them back and get them to start drying out/transpiring, and I will manually address each spot of PM probably using isopropyl alcohol swabs, since my regular fungicide seems to be having little to no effect

I learned my lesson! :volcano-smiley:

Oh yeah I did take some clones off the Swiss Cheese and Jack Dog, the new mothers :MoreNutes:

Very nice :bravo:

Cheers & Have a great week :ciao:

Sounds like a major pain in the ass. Hope you're back on track and that all clones are safe :thumb:

I'm a late addition...but looking good man....hopefully the humidity normalizes in the near future! :thumb:
Welcome and thank you for the kind words! :thanks:
Sounds like a major pain in the ass. Hope you're back on track and that all clones are safe :thumb:

Indeed, but it's looking a lot better today, it seems things are finally starting to dry out, and the PM seems to be receding. Also looking healthy after all the fresh sunshine and seems to be metabolizing that excess nitrogen much more efficiently now. Still need to cull a few Kerala x Skunks, I hope the pure sativa pheno is a female ;)

I do have 4 Unknown x Chemdog x NYCD plants but they're small, hopefully they will take off soon. :Namaste:

Today I culled 7 plants, 4 kerala x skunks and 3 of my personal unknowns, had to make room for the more worthy specimens.

As of now I have three prime specimens, one is the revegging Jack Dog (best pheno), one is the Swiss Cheese (also the best pheno IMO), and the female Blackberry plant that is actually pretty vigorous and a great overall specimen. I will probably clone it. This is the third time now I'll have found the best pheno. on the last seed. Pretty lucky too. I did save the pure sativa phenotype of the KxS. So now I'm putting all my love into the other plants, UNxC91xNYCD seedlings, and the two main beasts which are going to probably occupy half the tent.

IMG_54262.JPG

You can see how different looking these two plants are in their "physique", with these two strains alone I couldn't be more happy, but would like to add one more really good one in, perhaps the UN variant of the "Diesel Dogs" which I'll give TLC. Also, these two plants alone are going to be a handful of work for me, given they really take off once I "release" them.

:Namaste:

Another lil' update

Blackberry - (Raspberry Cough x Black domino) it's the sativa version of the normally indica blackberry that exists in Norcal, I grew some of this stuff last year and it was real yummy

Jack Dog revegging into a nice little bush

Swiss Cheese revegging looks more normal (love this stuff)
IMG_54364.JPG

These are the Unknown x C91 x NYCD plants that are finally starting to go, I grew the Unknown strain out that is crossed in that hybrid and it was some of the best cannabis I ever had or grown so I'm stoked about these ones
IMG_54378.JPG
IMG_54384.JPG

The pure sativa pheno of the Kerala x Skunk that I saved, its a slow grower and could be a male but it looked so different than the other plants I figured to let this one live and see what it becomes.

Till later :Namaste:

Small amount of journal notes:

Brewing a small bacterial tea to "liven-up" the half recycled soil mixture, particularly for the Swiss Cheese prodigy. 7 different strains of both endo&ecto bacteria and with a 10-3-1 NPK ratio, this should give the beast what it needs until the next sweet tea in August.

All the other plants have moderately healthy nitrogen levels and need no further fertilizer for a while. The plants are in the process of drying out of an over-watering event (caused by the necessity to drench with azadirachtin), being in black pots & on the bricks during the day is definitely helping. Looks like all the young ones dealt with the toxicity quite well, they turned green, look fresh & happy, so I'm happy. The reveggers are definitely faring much better than I ever imagined, especially the Jack Dog, I did some trimming today and took another clone off her, so that gives me 3 JD clones, 2 SC clones, and 1 BB (blackberry) clone, that'll be the new round for late fall harvest (if all goes as planned). The clones that come off that will eventually be for early spring (January and February) flowers, and the clones of those will be for middle spring, that's as far ahead as I can plan LOL. Anyway, I'm hoping to keep the Jack Dog, Swiss Cheese, and Blackberry as the 3 main strains, and then I'd like to add this Unknown strain or perhaps the UNxC91xNYCD strain since I know it's gonna be great, I think we're calling it "Underdawg" now, but I'm not sure.

Anyhow, I fimmed two Underdawgs today and tied them down, they're finally starting to grow so can't wait to get 'em growin' good. Not much else to discuss other than having to spray consistently with azamax to kill the mites and worms, and the SNS-217 to kill and impact any powder mold spore development and make the the plant stronger in terms of fungal resistance, as well as continually re-applying the LST strings to the main "beasts. Oh, I also pruned the Jack Dog, it was just a little too bushy and pruning is often a big thing with revegetated specimens, rarely do they ever look anything like the revegged Swiss Cheese I got going, the thing grew back with a BIG vengeance, in my experience with revegging, they always turn out bigger & better than before, I'm quite impressed by Cannabis, and am so grateful for being able with co-exist with such a magnificent life-form!

:Namaste:

PS, I must confess that I ripped out the revegging BB x SM plant because it was growing so damn slow and I needed the pot and recycled soil to grow something else with. At the time, I didn't like the phenotype and its puff (although smelled incredible in flower), but now that the crop is properly cured I'm blown away by it and am thinking I shouldn't of ripped it out. I can start over from seed and hopefully find a female, let alone a groovy phenotype, but for now am going to focus a few other strains.

So grateful for that Blueberry x Santa Maria though :volcano-smiley:

Your garden is as beautiful as ever Mr. Lester :) Loved catching up with you. Subbed. (forgive me for being late!) That dry Swiss Cheese just looked Gorgeous. :circle-of-love: and wow it reveg'ed very beautifully for you too. :) I'm so happy I have a Cheese strain going now. It's boring old American cheese :laughtwo: but it'll do.

I also can vouch for reveg's, I recently put my first 2 fully flowered plants through reveg and one of them got huge, and the other went through a wild phase kind of like JackDawg's reveg style, but is bursting with new growth now.. ;) I need to clean it up. >.< again. You aren't joking about how much pruning they can take.

May no mold spores be spread and may your pests be sent packing. Good days ahead this summer. :Namaste: :)

Blackberry (Black Domino x Raspberry Cough) which is being grown fully from seed outdoors, this plant was fimmed and LSTed to promote hormone flow to the lower sites, they will now produce bigger buds than they would have before. I released the strings when the storm came through to prevent stress.

Hey Lester looking great my friend!
I noticed your clones in solo cups and am wondering your opinion on cloning in soil versus other mediums like rockwool for instance. I'm sure your average climate is much more humid than mine. Considering this, do you leave your clones outdoors while they're rooting? And if so do you seal up the cups to maintain humidity? Thanks in advance have a great day!

Hey RL. Those Aurora buds look dank, potent & greasy. Nice job!:Namaste:
Thanks! It's a very interesting strain, not at all like I was expecting. But it's great, looking forward to growing more of it and perhaps finding a different pheno :)

Hi there raisingcain. Rockwool is great, whatever works for you really. I prefer to use sphagnum peat moss because I like it better. I use Clonex rooting hormone and added mycorrhizae to the medium. If you root your clones outside only, which I've done before, there is a small chance they'll grow and veg like normal, there's a greater chance they'll get stunted and flower when too small (depends on when its cloned), which will only produce a small tiny little plant. So I've had much better success putting the clones under CFLs under my humidity dome, which is basically just a really big & clear tupperware container, and I spray the inside walls with water continually to keep it moist.

If I was trying to root them outside completely, which I don't do anymore, I would definitely need the humidity dome otherwise they would transpire and die within minutes, regardless of being inside or outside :thumb:

Cheers and thanks for the positive vibes :Namaste:
