Relaxed's 2014 Outdoor Medical Grow

Looking really good Lester :high-five:

Mahalo Bee, I am content with things :Namaste:

Top of the shop, RL. Thanks for the pics. May you hat be always on the side of your head and a rainbow over your shoulder. :bravo:

Our cat's already showing interest in my young outdoor plants, and there are loads of feral ones around here too. Were you serious about mothballs, goofyfoot?
Hey Thank you kindly Mr. Teddy!! :thanks: :circle-of-love:

Thanks and he is like nine years old and neutered add she also has a ton of plants all over the property. Weird we had dogs and the things they seen you pay attention to, was usually the first things they went for. Whether it was puppies with shoes and socks or tomato's and rose bushes. My grand father would bury bluefish heads around his rose`s down about 24" and our German Shepard would wait at least two or three days to dig them up and bring them to the back porch!! Stancking!!! Yesterday I just seen him through the window and her was smelling her pot and had his face in her. Then thought Oh Shit.... will keep an eye on him. Thanks for the reply!! Off to work we go...Peace.....

:420: :Namaste: :thanks:

Cool story :surf: I'm sure things will work out fine :thumb: You can always get a catnip plant and see if he notices ;)

Yes it is one of Grandma`s remedies and my sister has a indoor male cat that is neutered. The neighbors cats like to walk passed their sliding glass door, and he kept trying to mark the door. She puts 3 or 4 or them in the inside track and crushes up a bunch. Those get sprinkled out in front of the door area. The cats stay clear now and they smell for 10 to 14 days. Just don't get them in the soil as they contain "naphtha" a petroleum product (used in lighter fluid) and will harm or kill your plants!!!

Quite an update, looks like a ton of work. I wish I had your outdoor lighting! :cheesygrinsmiley:

Awesome grow Relaxed, beautiful growth! And im happy to read your BlackBerry medicine is so fine and tasty :):passitleft:

Catnip plant, YES! :thumb::BH:
Thanks DaddiSwanga! :passitleft:

Haha, yeah, there is actually a synthetic feline pheromone called Feliway that you plug into the wall and it diffuses a scent that humans can't smell, it's supposed to calm the kitty down and also make it so they don't pee on everything. We have some stashed away just in case. :allgood:

Thanks a bunch Buck :thanks:! Luckily once the plants get potted all I really have to do is water and inspect. Once I put in a good inspection I can feel confident that I can leave them be for a couple days without too much bug or PM mayhem. They just like to be left alone sometimes and not have me poking around every which leaf all the time

Good Day! While I was enjoying my Blackberry flowers I noticed the ol' tortoise going for a stroll. He was interested in the new greenery and wanted to check it out. About the Blackberry flowers, unless it truly is a purple strain and I just haven't seen the colors, I would have named the strain Sour Chocolate Berries, because the smell is chocolatey, and only when you break it up do you smell the sour berries. I'm loving the potency and flavors :) Decided to take one my KC's out for some fresh sun, breeze, and water. This plant really came around since its terracotta days. :surf:

is that your tortoise or just a local resident? It needs a bath LOL

He runs through the sprinklers in the morning on occasion, we've had him as a pet for over 45 years :surf:

He lives in his own cavern that he dug himself, it is about 7 feet deep.

A long long time ago, we had neighbors who had tortoises and they kept escaping, and coming into our yard. So he stayed. :grinjoint:

Beautiful day up here so my girls like yours are really enjoying themselves. Those buds are looking nice and juicy. Happy Shatterday Lester:bong::rollit::welldone:

:)Even your pets are relaxed.
That is a fact!

Oh that is good to hear. It has been a good day. Getting ready to relax in the garden and be with the plants and animals. It is really humid here for us, about 76% RH all day. So I will be chopping the final BB specimen tomorrow, it's ready anyway :) It's definitely a different pheno I've had thus far so I'm excited to try it. I also decided to take 4 proper KC-45 cuttings, figure why not, I was out there trimming the plant today in the bushy popcorn region, might as well try and clone it. Would be nice to save these genetics as they perform really well here. :surf:

Damn, 45 years! He might outlive you RL; Sheeeit, he might outlive all of us!

I think you may be right! :surf: :passitleft:

We have the gopher tortoise`s here and they do the same thing, dig out a cavern. If they move into your property they are protected and that's that. There is a dog park // nature trails area here and one that lives there is so cool. His nick name is "dozer" and he does maintenance. He eats all the new little grass that grow from where the cut back to maintain a trail. Any time of the day or week you can find him along either side munching away. He starts at one end and makes his way up and down the sides of the trail as if he was edging it!! He doesn't even tuck back into his shell when you walk by him and he has been at it for the 10 years the parks been open. Way cool!!

That's a great story. I love tortoises.
:circle-of-love:

Everything looks nice Mr. Relaxed. :high-five:

I had a tortoise when I was a kid. I tried to keep him in a little pen. Everyday he was out and about.:hmmmm:
Yeah! They sure are foragers. He's very investigative. Just don't let him get into the lettuce patch, otherwise he'll mow that thing clean in a matter of minutes  Thanks for cruising through OMM! :surf:

:circle-of-love: the way they pray..... and love that cool looking cat passing through....he's IS dusty:biglaugh: :Namaste::peace:
Ha ha, two ancient organisms living side by side :Namaste:

I love animals, that tortoise is so cool! He's like almost twice my age!

God Chose It, We Grows It!
No wonder he stays, look at the beautiful foliage you grow, he must love the environment!!
He's definitely got personality, he knows what the sound of lettuce crunching is, and he gives us the stink eye when hes ready for a feast. We stopped giving him banana because he's pretty fat underneath that shell. So ice berg lettuce is what he loves. Topped off with a Hibiscus flower :yummy:

Neat Goofy! I remember living in Florida very well. We use to live right near the Oscar Scherer State Park in Osprey. I remember walking the Siesta Keys on the sand that was White as Snow. Very nice area, other than those tornado and hurricanes. Just got to watch out when your walking down the street you might see something crazy like a gator. Apparently a lot of imported animals down at the pet stores. The one big problem was that snake that wasn't native here and are taking over, never heard if they figured that out or not. They're just in the wild now. I remember at the State Park we would swim in this lake, the lake had a big net about half way through so the gators on the other side couldn't get through. Occasionally we'd see a baby slip through here and then. I remember being in the tent sleeping at night next to a creek and a gator was passing through so the sheriffs had to come and take it away from the campsite. Good Ol Florida, right? :surf:

Weather: Still very humid out there, I woke up and took a look at the specimen I'm harvesting today and it looks frostier than I've seen, it might very well be the most potent batch yet, so I'm excited to do some trimming today. :cheertwo: All of my smaller newer plants were fimmed yesterday, except the Swiss Cheese because its too young. I got real lucky yesterday, I left the seedlings on the tortoise pathway, luckily he just knocked them red cups over, I was afraid he was going to eat my Swiss Cheese in one bite! Oh what a bummer that would have been. Anyway we're in the clear. The KC-45 clones I took yesterday look great, standing nice and tall.
Oh and one other tidbit of information.

Fang got in a fight and stood his ground against a racoon last night. I sleep right next to the plants with my window open, and the cat sleeps outside, usually looking for rats/mice, protecting his water hole, catnip location. He stood his ground and I barely had enough time to get my shorts and shirt on grab a flash light and run out there to break up the fight. I was afraid he was going to get hurt. When I got there I noticed the two animals strangling each other in a ball so I scared them each off, Fang ran towards the corner of the yard and was upset, I wasn't sure if he was hurt or not till this morning. He is doing just fine and is not hurt at all. All I found at the site was a patch of gray hair where he ripped out of the coon. Luckily all things are well with the plants and animals. I'll try and take some sexy harvest shots for later of some of the frostiness, should be able to get a lot of trim off this plant as the phenotype is slightly leafy, but very frosty.

:peacetwo::Hookah:

I can relate about the raccoon vs cat, we have 3 local raccoon and 3 cats. The cats actually do not chase or stand their ground with the raccoons, thank god, but one of our cats wants to make friends. so he walks up to them all the time and gets swiped at every now and then.

Of course the g/f feeds the raccoons. I keep telling her asking for trouble.

That a tough kitty you got there!

Yeah, indeed. I agree with you! We are going to put out the ol' coon trap just incase. Fang is definitely one tough cat. Noble and loyal, he follows me around at night time as I walk through the garden, he's a bombay cat which are supposed to be basically like panthers and have the personality of a dog. :passitleft: :high-five: :cheertwo:
