Recess Is Over - Now To Muck Up The Lesson

Awesome red.. what are you growing this round? Happy days mate. I could spend my days doing that, it'd make me happy., lol.. jealous from Australia

:passitleft: how's things Ditchweed?

I see people do wonderful things with nutes. They obviously work.

One of the reasons I started growing was to save money.
Whether I give my money to a dealer or a corporation doesn't matter a whole lot.
It is still flowing out of my wallet never to return.
I'm cheap. That is all there is too it. Always have been, always will be.
I feel like I'm paying for the cool name and the brand on the bottle.
I feel like I'm being played. That bothers me.

Nutes can be a bloody expensive part of the grow, right now i have way too much running to play around with the cheaper stuff but have tried quite a few in the past, all our outdoor girls up until a few years back were only fed with all purpose pellets from the hardware, the kind you mix in the soil and never feed again  Since being indoors i have tried 5 different nute lines and am quite happy with the results from GH which is a lot cheaper than most, cost doesnt affect me now as i only keep what i need, about an oz will last me a month and the rest gets sold off to a friend which covers my running costs (nutes, power bill, bulbs, seeds etc), what he does with the weed is up to him, im not a dealer, i grow for myself as i couldnt afford it otherwise, cover my costs and never have to visit dealers :)

Lol. I never was much of a photographer.
My technique is to basically shove a 20 mega pixel camera up a buds ass and take 20 pictures.
I then pitch the 19 or so that look like a rorschach test and work with the one I got left.

I do the same bud  although i find its not as bad on my samsung s6, my camera i used to take 50 shots and still struggle to find one in focus

Here's the next round we just flipped them to flower

Absolutely love the setup red, one day... one day...

Harvested a few branches while daughter was sleeping.. this stuff is some sticky dank smelling stuff.. buds are nice thick and no rot spotted yet... I allowed humidity to drop to lower 40's last two weeks as a preventative to anything, been keeping an eye on viva sativa, just Incase she has a reaction to it.. getting nervous with harvest, I'm so unsure of what she will do yield wise.

She looks awesome man, cant wait to hear what she smokes up like :)

Just smoked some diesel Grizz and if the Sour Diesel is as good or better, set yourself up with all you need next to the couch, cause your not moving far once it kicks in. Delicious taste too.

I was going to say, I hope not mate. Grew this for summer fun, to socialise not DVD summer away, lol... I want a high rather than stoned..

Just threw the two blue cheese into flower.. lunar landing is taking up a little room, so I'll wait another week before deciding what else/if anything to put in..

I shouldn't have spoke to soon, it's got quite a pleasurable up feel after about 20mins.

High mates. So glad to hear this as I have an Amherst Sour Diesel that'll be ready in a few weeks. I'm with GrizzWald...I want high rather than stoned. Although I'm just a little stoned right now.

:bongrip:

I wish that set up was mine I just got hired to help grow and get the owner back on track but someday soon I hope to have my own giant space or spaces

THAT's a major setup amigo!! WOW what I could do with such a space. And certainly what you will do with it is going to be very fun to see. WOW again.

Peace, Hyena

Here's a couple of her branches hanging.. took all dead fans etc off, light trim. In couple days once those sugars have dried some I'll clean then up, take all the points off..

anybody know what's trying to be achieved in the flush? I'm going to try something I've read for hydro but with some slight variation. I'm going to feed the viva up until the last week, then take her out of pot, carefully remove all the soil from her roots, stick her in a pot of perlite and water her with boiling water, leave her under lights till she's finished.. . This should quicken the curing process. Makes sense to me, only one way to find out... only reason I'm removing soil is I reuse, not sure what boiling water would do the the microbe life in the soil..

Also once viva sativa is done, all plants will be in recycled soil..

I'm was being a little facetious in pot of month thread today. Asked for my entry to be removed, I got better photos  Oh well I thought it was funny  I have asked for it to be removed though, not that she had any hope but I'm really not into it. I only said here a few days ago it's most negative thing here and there I am, part of it.. I know I'm forever learning...

As far as im aware the idea of a flush is to clean nute buildups, when done before harvest it forces the plant to live off what nutes it has stored in the fans etc (where we get our fade) so that they dont affect the flavor of the buds :thumb: In hydro i flush a bit more often as can really get a lot of salt buildup in the clay ;)

I saw that and had to have a laugh, man its all happening in there again isnt it  i have said for so long i want nothing to do with them comps, now i just dont give 2 fucks, gotta be in it to win it, even if you are not mr popular  can only lose so many times lol

Re flush; That's what I was hoping somebody would say and kinda what I had thought but also wrestled with.. it's the sugars in the flowers, the flush and cure, some sort of chemical reaction going on with that... boiling water technique has some speed up effect on that.. find out anyway... not sure if truth or if I'm searching threads that go along with my thoughts on things..

Worst thing that can happen is I end up with buds that need a six month cure, not going to hurt the plant at all in that time. But if it allows for any extra growth whilst in soil, worth a shot..
