Ortega was originally made a little different from Nevil when he was doing his Seedbank thing with Sensi...Shantibaba made a selection from an old school set of seeds that originated from NL#1 and NL#5...from mid 80s. It is expected to keep a good Christmas tree structure in growth and flowers in 6-8 weeks, giving strong fruity, deep berry flavors . It is an excellent all round effect and acts for many like a night medicine. Aids sleep disorders well and muscular conditions...a must try.
 
Hermies or not due to some stress I would still try it if I was into cloning right now. Make sure my room is empty and ready for an adventure.. Plant 4 or 5, wait to start taking clones, get them rooted and then vegged for a couple weeks and toss into the flower room to see what phenos I end up with from each plant. Any males in the bunch maybe I would attempt saving some pollen for the future as well. I am just more interested in trying to get my hands on some old school genetics before they are all gone. I like to hang onto seeds of certain strains so that I always have a couple left. In the case of MNS I would hold onto at least 5 of them for good measure and store in a safe place :)

Loving the info you are pulling up on these strains, it's a great learning experience for me where I don't know a lot about what went on back then with the cannabis culture and breeding. Love it, thanks again!

Hi Neville, I stumbled on this video while surfing the net. Jorge claims you gave him a haze to smoke and it became is favorite strain.

Can you share with the MNS community what strain this is?

Yeah I don't know who Ganja is on the Sensi forum, but I can't say that I see much reason to read anymore of what he has to say.
Lots of people had somehow gotten a hold of this plant and renamed it and made their own line of seeds from it. Seeds being sold under the various names at different companies will no doubt differ, but it all started with the Cup winning plant, who was a daughter of a Cup winner, who in turn was also a daughter of a Cup winner. Did anyone keep the tradition going, or did it stop when I did?

I don't know if F1 5Hz can be made any more. I doubt it, but a number of MNS strains are made with the best daughters. These too will one day die and these seeds will be the stuff of legends. Haven't you got any saved in your fridge for the future? Maybe you are counting on the era of prohibition ending before more gets lost in busts and calamities. Good luck with that!

I've seen a few of D.J.Shorts writings. The man possesses an extremely fertile imagination. It reminds me of some intuitive/automatic writing I've seen. Very creative, but not scientific.

Right now we have a lot of people pretending indignation at the suggestion that their stock is not exclusive. Who is going to stand up and say that they have a gene pool free of Seed Bank stock. I didn't create those blocks, they were given to me by other people and they didn't create them either. Some great conversations there. Nevil was boss. Although, I think that DJ has more merit than he was given, his genetics are also in some astonishing % of rooms. New understanding of epigenetics brings new context to what is genetic science. Imo: Ruderalis, Hemp, Sativa, Indica = Same. The difference being the information received by the plants OS over time/generations, and it's mating opportunities. :Namaste: I think the plant has short term goals, and long term goals, and that it works on both as best it can.

Until one has correctly grown out the Building Blocks like Skunk, Haze, NL, Afghani, etc., one will never have a well rounded understanding of indoor, drug cultivar cannabis. The 4-16 way polyhybrids the majority grow today, are so fucking muddled that it's about criminal. And by grown "correctly" I mean: Run 10-15 m/f, photo, seeds. Clone everything. Label #1 through x. Flower all. Select target mother(s) # x, xy, etc. for desirable traits. Cull the others. Run selected mother(s) again. Reassess. Keep or cull.
Running an immature plant from seed 1x indoors isn't an all inclusive indicator as to suitability. And anyone who's run a single feminized, or auto (or even photo) seed of any variety doesn't have a valid opinion as to anything regarding that strain, as that's rank amateur windowsill grower bullshit. When I see people post "I ordered 23 different, single feminized seeds." I have to suppress the urge to grab a handful of cyber napalm & nuke them screaming from the Internet. The single seed grow phenomena screams of rank amateurism & anyone who has actually done any cannabis research can see it for the autism that it is. Neville's dry, sardonic humor is exactly what the internet is lacking these days. Too many special Snowflakes & way too much Safe fucking space. He'd be banned here in under a week. .

Well sorry Skunkworkz, lol, I did my last order, 14 strains coming.. they in 18 packs though :rofl: half are for the freezer (grow later, some outdoor strains; early queen devil)... I'm not claiming to know astrain, nothing of the like, but I see some merit in growing 6-9 seedlings, hopefully four plus females and getting a sample of what a strain is. As long as you know the variance of cannabis, your grow abilities environment, you should be able to see what one can possess, even if that's not close to what you have actually grown.... if that makes sense.. man, I'd be more than happy to grow afghan Skunk and a nev haze, find tastes I'm looking for an begin a search.. have all rest in freezer. Then seed growing, I got some of the building blocks frozen, some nl5haze afghan haze nl5skunk some seeds of Africa locals etc, all I can do illegally with a daughter can an ex, lol..
