Reave's Perpetual Grow

I personally have a small grow and buying 99 cent jugs of r/o is cheaper for me for now It’s like 10$ a week for piece of mind , and they is priceless
Yes its a bit more here but I was already thinking of doing it and you just convinced me. Its about 3$ canadian for a 5gal of r/o but I am going to try it out for a bit then work on getting the ro filter installed under the sink.
your already doing better then 70% of growers keep the positivity going brother
Thanks man, thanks to the people here I have not really had a bad grow. Ive been lazy a few times, and none have been perfect by any stretch but I have learned to listen to the plant, battle bugs and learned several different types of growing. Now I am going to work on dialing in on these strains I have growing and work on improving my mid - late flower. I appreciate your constructive criticism I strive daily to improve and learn.

I can see the buildup on the fabric pots. By I also have had these growing since last summer so the dolomite lime might be gone? So maybe PH is buggery too.
Buildup could be from the water or the nutes and usually isn't a problem, except after being in the same pot for 10 months!

pH could be off after this long, but only a distilled water slurry test would tell you that, and you have to decide if it's worth trying to correct this close to harvest.

I agree , I think I'm going to let it go. She still seems to be bulking. It still just might be she needs more calcium too. Reason that I was thinking that is because the uptake range for calium is so large (ph6-7.5) even if it has been moving more alkaline due to MC calcium uptake should still be no issue. Unless it is buildup. Now here is the question. I did a proper flush not that long ago so if it was buildup due to MC that should have knocked it out. So would a flush also get rid of the buildup from hard water? Anyway Im just still going to feed more cal mag next feed, cuz yolo.

Yolo!

Flushing tap water though the soil leaves you with lower PPM in there, but it might not clean off the pot unless you scrub it. And if you flush it all the way down to the PPM of the tap, you leave the soil with just whatever is in that water.

Isn't it possible that after all this time it's just completely rootbound? That will show all sorts of deficiencies that are the devil to get rid of.

Anything is possible. Guess I will find out when I unpot it. Shouldnt fabric pots self prune roots though> Not really sure how that works in fabric pots.

They self-prune and the plant sends out more and more feeder roots, and eventually it gets rootbound. It looks different from rootbound in a plastic pot and take a lot longer, but it still makes it difficult for the plant to uptake nutes.
Could be this too then. It's in a 3gal and is a very large girl.

You have a great attitude, I honestly wouldn’t have gotten where I am without the help and harsh advice that I knew was true but didn’t want to accept , but in the end we are all here for the same reason I hope , and that is to help any and everyone get to where they want to be . It’s a never ending battle when trying to dial things in but once you get there it will be so worth it , I feel like I am just starting to get a hold on what I’m doing, but up until now it was issue after issue and so much stress to follow , especially when dealing with such a high valued crops . But like I said maybe it’s as simple as changing your water source , dial back to doing one or two plants make small changes in both or just one and see where it takes you

First sign of trouble. What do with think this is the start of. Little nute burn? Maybe hit a hot spot in the soil? Let’s see how it plays out.

Shot of the veg plants since I was lazy earlier. Looking happy.

They all seem happy. Ordered an infrared thermometer to check leaf temps. When it comes I will post about why I got it and how I’m going to use it. Fun times. Also ordered some big fabric pots for when we upcan these girls for flower.

Is a tad a leaf tip burn really bad . 1 It’s better then a deficiency 2 it let’s you know your at the full strength your plants can handle and to dial it back a touch. I like to see a tad a leaf burn cause I know at this point my plants could not handle anymore and there’s now what if’s or hungry plants . As long as your root zone is in check it’s all good baby .

I see some happy plants , make sure you read instructions on the infrared thermometer , if your not working the right distance or range the readings will be way off the actual ; it took me a year to figure mine out , I always thought it was busted , it never read body temps the same as what the actual thermometer was saying ( a forehead touch less one) so make sure you dial it in on how to use it before you start running with the numbers . Well done
