How many days old are they?
Checked my notes shed and those front two first day above ground was March 5th. So about 17 days old. They are the youngest. The others popped on the 1st so that’s why I said 21 days originally. Anyway those two front ones from Ace seeds are my prize plants right now. They are happy sunup to sundown in lots of light. The others don’t want as much. One thing I know for sure is I’m learning to hear the plants. Slowly learning.

Flower Tent Update:

Ok so I have determined that it was actually a calcium deficiency and not me overdoing the p and k.

I flushed and only provided megacrop at 5.5 grams per gallon and it started spreading faster. I followed up with some call mag and it seems to have slowed down.

The next feed will be magical at 5ml/gal then we will top up to 1400 ppm with MC including around 200 from tap water.

now there is like 6 of them.

:ciao: Reave!! Link is working much better now, I’ll be happy to follow from here on out.

Great to have you along for the ride. We are ing the coots now and these plants are doing quite good.

Unknown sativa from Ace seeds. She is showing the most Sativa traits of all the plants.

I like my sativas so I’m pretty excited to see how this goes.

Roots are firing out the bottom of these upcans already Andy they are very white.

I love me some perpetual growing, even thoe we are doing completely different styles of growing and I can probably off you very little help with what’s going on in your soil, I would love to sit in and at-least maybe learn more about your style of growing ,
One thing I notice is you rock the veg but in flower seem to take a dive ; what is your water source brother , if your using tap water and the source is over 20 ppm I would start sourcing r/o water , because something as simple as added mineral salts over time , a couple months will result in nutrient lock out from ph swings. I had that happen to me in my organic grow and it was devastating, and something as simple as changing to a good pure water source will be a game changer. Try it out with one of your next plants side by side and see how it goes ? You will be amazed at the results

I’m no hydroponics guy but thoes Ppms sound off the charts ? No

You might be on to something with the water although tons of people grow around here with tap water and have great results. Now that I have switched to organic I was looking at an RO system for under the sink. I agree with your assessment that my flowering stage needs some work.

I was also thinking that since I have never grown the same plant twice and keep switching mediums that I just haven’t learned an individual system that well and have also never honed in on a particular strain.

MC on 700ppm scale is abou 1100 my tap water is 200ish so that’s about 1300. So not way out. The minerals in my water are mostly calcium bicarbonate. Leaves behind a buildup on the tea kettle for example. Also some of my megacrop nutes got moist somehow. I think I saw a warning about that but not sure how it got moister in a sealed bag on a shelf but anyway. We are going organic now so that should be the last flower with megacrop. Going to give it to one of my bro’s.

I have been looking into RO for under the sync but looks like a bunch of work. For now I think I’ll just go out and buy some water to see if it helps. Should be using anyway for the organics.

now we use actual chlorine in our water not chloramine so it can be vented off but still lots of calcium carbonate in the water.

I always water my outdoor plants with tap water, but I usually fill the watering can after doing so for the next day to let it off-gas, and I often pour a pint of worm wee into it too, and let it sit overnight before using the next day. It is a useful consideration what @DeanWest89 says, as without lab testing or comparative testing on our plants, we don't know how how hard the water is and how ideal it is for the grow. It could be that 9 out 10 tap waterers find it works well for their plants, whereas the others find it causes problems. It does me wonder whether the hardness of tap water causes my own grow any issues that I wasn't aware.

Do you ever notice your medium building a type of crust in the surface ? I’m not saying what you are doing is wrong I just know about water and the impacts a poor water quality can cause in the grow , I had my water supply over time cause way to much salt build up and started to see my plants look terrible dead edges spots and crispy leaves and the full rate was mineral salt content .
But it does help when you find a system and work it until you dial it in.
but I think outdoors are able to handle the salt content a little better because of rain and other things , my outdoor plants always did okay ; but I think in a small pot over time it’s just too much salt content .
I personally have a small grow and buying 99 cent jugs of r/o is cheaper for me for now It’s like 10$ a week for piece of mind , and they is priceless

now by no means would I say completely change what your doing only make small changes slowly to see the affects if you change too much at once you won’t know what actually was benefiting vs not benefiting what your doing .
It’s just important to go in with a game plan as you would a business you want to produce with as little spent possible . And put a system into place that works for you and your schedule and lifestyle

your already doing better then 70% of growers keep the positivity going brother
