RDWC Lemon Skunk Seeds From DNA

hey bro i noticed u mentioned that ur ph droped to 3.2 well idk if u adjust that or not but i believe hydro should be at 5.5 ph roughly so maybe it could be from that as 2 why ur leaves are burning slightly. but yea that setup looks great bro how much did u pay for those black dog lights?? And bout how big is the foot print on those lights?? im currently running 2 perfectsun dwarf stars and a 1000w cob light in my flower tent right now. I think my next light purchase will be some quantum boards or some kind of white light grow tech. im seeing some great results with the white lights..

Yeah. You really need to do something when your Ph is 3.2. For the past week or so I have been running it a little high 6.2-6.4 to help with calcium bioavailability, but it's ironically at 5.7 as I write this.

Thanks man it was fun to build, and works fairly well... those lights aren't cheap. Let's just say I could cob most of my living room with the price I paid for these 2 lights. If I knew then what I know now I would have a home made cob set up right now. I still have unanswered questions about cob lights. You always see the color temp in their light specs, but never the spectrum in nm. You can build a rig with a spectrum that will satisfy grow and bloom, but does it pay to have a fixture with separate color temps to get a better spectral condition for each phase of growth. I have asked some knowledgeable folks on other forums, but haven't really gotten a straight answer. I will say that the whole topic has become a team sport like football and politics. If you are on a team, yours is the best. Much like the debate between MH/HPS growers and LED guys. Cob guys a lot of times look down on any purple LED as "old tech.". Thankfully the folks on this forum are much more civil than places like Roll It Up. You need your shots up to date to post there.

Sounds like your light situation is sorted. I've used Platinum P300s, Platinum P4, G8,"flower" deep red lights, T5s, Spectrum King 400+, Black Dog P2 400s, and i will try out the Nanolux 315 LEC on this grow. My most successful grow ever was with my Platinum P4 it grew a 9 ounce plant, so Im not one to dis purple lights.

The Black Dogs are the Phytomax 2 400watt fixtures. Attached is a spec sheet for footprint. I wanted 2 600s but that wouldn't have worked out very well. Last grow I had some bleaching from over 15 inches away. I had a wicked case of nute lock, so that may have helped a little, but the lights are pretty strong.

I'm sure I'm thinking way too hard about the specifications of cob lights. CLEARLY, they can grow pot. And do it with authority. If you look at what Grandpa Tokin has in his room, his lights and plants are doing the dance. Trichomes on trichomes its really pretty amazing. It's too bad hes 2000 miles away! Now, i would honestly say most of that is probably genetics, but if you ain't got the light you arent gonna end up with what he's got... plain and simple. I will build a cob rig someday. I'm sure I could sell my black dogs and put that toward a very nice cob kit. Someday.

Here are some pics of that 9 ounce plant. Buds were super dense, and rock hard. The strain is Barneys farm Ayahuasca Purple. I need 15 more just like it

The more plant you have to work with the more bud you can expect there are guys out there that grow a lot more than that. I would like a 1 pound plant someday, who wouldn't, right?. But to me a one pound plant represents a grower who has his/her shit together. But let's face it. The vast majority of the strains won't do that in the best conditions. You can't necessarily count on the description of the yield from the breeder when your picking out seeds, and you're lucky to get a clone from a dispensary that doesn't have 3 kinds of fungus, 2 deficiencies and scarlet fever. You have hot to have good genetics first. I would love to tell you that this plant would have fizzled and died without my expert touch, but no. This was a great seed. First to pop, took off in soil, it grew to fit perfectly in the closet, SCRoGed great, the light was a perfect size. Way too may perfect things going on to call it a grower thing.

If i can offer some advice... know where you are in turns of you grow and take baby steps to get to where you want to be. There's always SOMETHING that can be made better. Even seemingly stupid shit can make life easier on you and your grow. Keep a log, experiment, listen read, and keep an open mind. You will get as good at it as you allow yourself.

Sorry dude, i brought some work home with me. I'm a Manufacturing Engineer so the tenants I expressed above are What I do all day. You will get there. Cheers

Good advice for all of us. :thankyou:

I love Halloween. My kid bought me a very large pumpkin to carve and I never did anything with it till today. Man I love to carve pumpkins, but one this size takes all day. It's a bit of a curse.

So i took off the top and two things happened. The room immediately filled with nasty ass old pumpkin stink and the other thing was my idea for a new hydro style. PUMPKINPONICS!!!!

I guess the thing had been sitting around too long and the seeds started to take.

Dam bro that is fukn amazing that is for real some artistic shit great pumpkins i loved the garbage one lmao it looked like he was getting squished haha

So i built and hung my SCRoG. It's in two pieces because of the age of the two strains. This way I can leave the 2 on the left alone as I play with the ones on the right.

The adolescent plants are growing well, but the spots are back.... I'm gonna let the mix work its magic till Wednesday or Thursday if they dont get better I will try something new.

The other Skunk plant is still trying to tie itself in a knot, but here is a cool benefit from when your plant is so thrashed it needs a map to grow up... 3 main stalks!

I finally got around to getting some snap on lids for the grow sites that aren't being used. I have more blue ones somewhere. I decided to go with circa 1971 Taco Bell Orange this time. Not sure I made the right decision.

Excellent idea on the scrogs. Looks great in there.

Your carving skills are awesome!
Thanks man.

This last pumpkin got a little old. The whole down stairs smelled like an old hiking sock... so my son puts it on his head.

What a Whacko. He had to take a shower after

Of course he did. LOL! Exactly what my boys would’ve done.

Ever not do something for a long time, then come back to it one day only wonder why the hell you you ever stopped? I love a nice fat joint, but yesterday was my first in a damn long time. I think im gonna add this the the regular rotation. There's so many ways to enjoy pot, but it's hard messing with perfection.

Ayahuasca Purple in a Zig Zag Ultra Thin... if it's been a while twist one up. I'd like to hear about it

Hey man the scrogs look great!!!

And the pumpkins I have nothing to say for that. Speechless lol
Your sons crazy by the way. Maybe install better filtration I think he got a contact high before he did that! Haha
Thanks dude. It will be fun to see how it all works out

The scrog looks great! Definitely gets you urging to fill it up lol. Pumpkin seeds are the best. That pumpkin made his head stinkkkk for sure! Crazy kid lol ..
Thank you. Yeah, he's a bit of a loose nut. When he was 5 or 6 he and I would head off to a quiet part of a store while Mom was doing real shoppin. I would give him the business end of a remote controlled fart machine... its two pieces, a speaker and a wireless remote, push the button on the remote and the speaker cranks one out.

He would creep up on anyone with a straight face with the speaker in his pocket, while I'm purple faced at the other side of the room pushing the fart button on the remote. Laughing like that is a great excersize

Oh yeah, I'm a terrible father. That remote fart trick doesnt work like it used to anymore
