Back to talking about Snowdawg 3 today. The one freak plant trimmed out fairly well. Had to take every leaf it had but there was some buds left in there.
The real interesting plant is the fluffy one. Trichomes on it are different than anything I have ever had before. If you have looked at trichomes through a scope than you know there are tons of different shaped ones. Short ones, tall ones, some are even as twisted and bent as my mind.
This Snowdawg has trichomes with fat stalks. I mean over fat trichomes. To the point where the ball of the trichome meats the stalk there is a skinny part. It is like the ball couldn't take any more resin so the stalk is filling up with what wouldn't fit. I have never seen anything like it before. Some of you may realize how rare that is. I have looked at a lot of trichomes.
Problem is. I don't know if I can get that close of a picture to show them well. It's a little closer than I can get with zoom. I will try but I need to scrub walls before I can set up the photo station again. Still it is going to be tough picture to get.
This is a huge game changer. At least for this one plant. Even with less trichomes it could be stronger. With stalks twice the size of normal there doesn't need to be as many. Best way to explain these trichomes is the stalks are larger than the ball on top. There is still the ball just like before. They just have a waistline now LOL. Imagine a big chested woman in a corset.
Can't get Alphakronik to answer my emails to be sure. Something like this could have been the trait they were looking for when they did this backcross. It was never released as a strain so I am pretty sure they were just looking for something. Trichomes like this are worth trying to recreate.
