This is the moment in growing which I like a lot :bong:

My favorite time is right when they start budding. All the potential shows up. Those little gals loved the clover tea. Do you use dried or fresh clover?

Fresh one

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

lithothamnium, I found some on scamazon. The only thing available in the US is being sold as a dog and cat supplement. Our you can buy capsules as a human supplement. Unreal. I'll pm you a link to the product I bought. Hopefully it will work. :thanks:

Doc, try UK or Italian Amazon, you're gonna pay more for shipping, but they're gonna ship for sure.

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

Hi Conrad I have a question about the lithothamnium or Red Kelp you use. We here in North America use Ascophyllum nodosum which is a brown algae. This product is very common in agriculture as well as feed for animals here. It's one of the fastest growing plants on earth. The red alga Phymatolithon/lithothamnium is a very very slow growing algae.

Question is have you tried the Ascophyllum nodosum brown algae??

If so you obviously prefer the red algae, is that because its easier to purchase where you live??

I use the brown algae with calcium carbonate in my base soil mix and use the brown algae in teas and foiler spray all the way up to harvest.

I'm strictly indoor container cannabis grower. But we do a fair amount of organic outdoor gardening as well, and use the kelp in compost bins and top dress plants outdoors.

I do really dig the look of your soil - it's soo much different looking than what we have here. It looks like you have a fair amount of clay in it. I'm loving your healthy happy little girls ... How come you thought that one was a runt. I thought I saw purple on the 1st true leaves?!! That just like gold here in the USA. hahaha

Keep it green - love those Mexican plant pics.

Hey man! I use it cause the calcium to magnesium ratio is perfect for High Brix, its 8 to 1. It's also easy to find in Italy, and is still sustainable. As far as my potting soil is concerned, it's a mixture of terra rossa, brownish loam, lithothamnium, biochar and volcanic rock dust. It's heavier than peat based soil, actually I had my friend-grower come over yesterday to get some advice about growing UD, and he was surprised how heavy it gets after watering.

Yep the soil around here is loam heavy in clay, typically it's gonna contain about 40-60% clay with different condensation of topsoil depending on the spot. However organic matter is abundant here, so typically you're gonna see a thick layer of humus on the top. Geologically it's a very complex soil built mainly of marl, which is of glacial origin, and contains from 35% to 65% calcium carbonate. This deep layer is covered with a fair mixture of different types of stones, chips and sands. In general it's a soil which is naturally abundant in iron, calcium, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium and nitrogen.

You two guys would really enjoy smoking a joint together. You're both experts in organic growing. Different environments but your philosophies are very similar. :Namaste:

They have grown nicely since the last time I checked in here.

Nice work bud.

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

This is the risky moment here, but after a week outside they're ready to survive anything. High Brix should keep the bugs away, and my copper clasps will do the same for snails. Actually it's the earliest I've ever outplanted.

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

Looking good! Best of luck in this early outdoor season.

Awesome Conradino! Those babies look extremely happy. I'm hoping the best and that the risk pays off. Sending good vibes to you and your seedlings!

I'm sure it's gonna go fine, but yeah this is the moment when they can get eaten or damaged, so I cross my fingers.

:passitleft:

I'm interested in the Ghost train haze. I have plans to plant some Tangie Ghost train in the very near future.

I cannot tell you a lot about it myself, it's first time I'm growing it. Not very vigorous, not very branchy, but very stretchy. Hopefully it's gonna have a reasonable flowering time, and is gonna produce some quality smoke.
