Harvest Report - Lilly

Delicatessen Seeds "Lilly" Is a mostly Sativa mix of about 75% Congo (75% African Congo Sativa x 25% Pakistani Chitral Indica) crossed with La Reunion Sativa.

La Reunion is an ancient trading island (about the size of Oahu) off the coast of Madagascar (Madagascar is off the East Coast of Africa.) La Reunion's largest native land animal is an 18" Rainbow Chameleon. Don't you just love an exotic story for a plant?

I took too strong hits off of Lilly at 9:30 PM. At 10:00PM I was having trouble not yelling like a drunk as I took a walk to look at lightning bugs. At 10:30 PM I was concentrating on the intracacies of playing solitaire on my phone while sitting on the porch listening to the sounds of the wind and the water fountain. The initial feeling is a classic, energetic, very clear Sativa - but then there was a secondary effect of the poor judgement of Alcohol and the stoner permagrin of Indica. The alcoholic stone wore off after about an hour. The energetic sativa was with me until 2 AM - at which point I suddenly fell asleep sitting up and woke up refreshed and still sitting up at 8 AM.

Fresh off the hang dry, she tastes a bit green, smokes very smooth, and smells almost exactly like smarties candies.

The missus is a high tolerance smoker. She said it was a good sativa, destined to be hoarded stash, bt it's to early too tell what kind of smoke she is.

Total dry weight (including 7g oven dried popcorn) was 3.3 oz (94.5 g)

The wife chose all 5 head nugs for her personal stash.

dam rad lookn nice and I cudnt help but laugh wen u were talking about ur drunkn stoner hollerin cause I felt almost the same way earlier 2day wen I tryd some of my early vixen and man did it smell nice and lemony like a pinesol lemon with sum kinda fruity twist lol but yea I had a question about my grow area i have this plug in in the wall right now that i believe is for like a washer and drier possibly well i was wondering wud i be able to take this box and switch it out with a regular plug in outlet here is the pics to show what I'm meaning can i take this box outlet here
20170612_192251.jpg

and switch it out with this outlet
20170612_192257.jpg

or would i need to run different wire to the breaker??

the reason I'm wanting to switch them out is because the outlet in the first pic has newer wiring and can support more power so if i cud switch out the outlet boxes i wudnt have to go under the house and run new wire to the breaker box or would that not work??

Duggan is "the man" for all wiring questions - ask him for sure. :cheesygrinsmiley: What you have is a 240V socket, which can be swapped out for two 120V circuits, which would be awesome. It's a very simple change in boxes and sockets, and the way they hook up. :cheesygrinsmiley:

BUT! ...

You do NOT want to mess with 240V unless you know exactly how to do it. A shock from 240V isn't annoying and laughable like a 120V shock. That stuff will kill you dead. You can weld chit with a 30 amp 240V.

So ... be careful ... think clearly about it.

So Rado! - sticky arms? :cheesygrinsmiley:

Then what's that Ace Mix smell like? Citrus? Sandalwood? Fruity?

I have the remains of a screw driver to prove it. No laughing matter, I was sure I had circuit shut off, it arc-ed, I got lucky.

To change the outlet from 240 to 120 you need to do it at the circuit breaker box, so really not a job for beginners or for shortcuts.

Rado, remember the poesy from a few pages back? I was thinking about that, and my love of compact verbiage - layering meanings with connotations and removing extra words, for instance - and I remembered something I ran across last year. Most people don't fully realize that words are whole symbols, used to evoke ideas and memories and feelings from our minds. It's a shorthand that we all learn early in our childhood. We say words, and instantly people understand what we mean. Here's proof of that. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Absolutely a great find that you may have really good wires running back to your circuit breaker panel - it's not up to code to split it at the outlet side.
If a person has experience working with circuit panels, and a person can confirm the wiring is sound, then it is relatively simple to replace the circuit breaker and reuse the wires.

Have you checked your ballasts/lamps to see if they accept 240V? a lot of them do. Easier than re-wiring breakers and outlets :)

Caveat - last time I found one of these in the wall, the wires had been snipped off inside the wall and I had to run new wiring from the basement to the second floor.

Another caveat - Working on circuit breakers is not a joke. It should be done with care and knowledge.

So Rado! - sticky arms? :cheesygrinsmiley:

Then what's that Ace Mix smell like? Citrus? Sandalwood? Fruity?

Freshly harvested, I don't know. My nose is plugged due to seasonal allergies. I can barely smell.

Yeah - I read those sentences at full speed. Maybe dyslexic folks are just speed readers and writers. (joke - not serious :) )

Words are symbols: object tags, mood tags, conceptual synopses.

This is why is feel distain for people who object to 'dirty words.' The word is a symbol to communicate the meaning(s.) If one knows the word, the word is not offensive UNLESS one finds the meaning offensive. If one is offended by a description of something that occurs in the real word, then one is offended by the reality of life - which shows contempt for god, nature, man, and whatever other forces exist in the real world.

For example, whatever word one chooses for a body part, I visualize the body part. If it' a body part I enjoy experiencing, I don't care what word is used, I visualize the body part. The word is just a frickin' label! If it's a body part that I don't enjoy experiencing - who cares what they call it - it's not my thing!

There are words that I usually don't want to hear, but that is because I find the attitude or action labelled by the word effectively transmits the intended meaning. Nazi, skin head, bigotted killer... the problem isn't the words, the problem is the person and set of actions behind the label. But if I don't want to hear the words, it isn't the words that are bad. It is the context of the communication and the spirit of the communication that is offensive, not the words.

So... I'll toss out some layman's words here.

The outlet is a 240v outlet. Generally designed for higher amperage draw devices like heaters, ACs, and dryers.
Many growing lighting systems can use 240v instead of 120v, so you might want to check on that before you go changing things around.
A 120v outlet has 1 wire conducting power. A 240v circuit simply combines 2 different wires running 120v in order to achieve 240v. As such, it's a very simple thing for a licensed electrician to change over. An electrician simply changes the circuit breaker at the panel and then puts a new outlet at the wall using just 1 of those wires used in the 240v circuit instead of 2 without having to run new wires or anything. The change is usually relatively inexpensive because of it's ease.

Awesome looking harvest on lilly. The smoke report sounds intriguing. I may have to pick some of those up next order I place.

The ace mix is a floppy mess. Nice looking buds on her though. They look nice and dense for a sativa. The structure reminds me of the Zamedelica cut I've been growing. It's a floppy mess like that at about 3 weeks into flower and onward.

Looking good Rad!

Thanks. I can deal with the floppy mess if it's only in flower. I think the buds overwhelmed the branches around week 5 for this first run of Ace Mix.

My two newest Ace seeds sprouted today. I had a much better photo but I hit delete instead of upload.

Guawi (I say it Wah-wee) and Haze x Kali China (China Haze)

I recycled the 10 gallons of Soil from Ace Mix in a tote to 'cook' for a month.

I transplanted Amherst Sour Diesel (clone 1) into a 7 gallon in veg

Had no trouble at all reading this, after getting past the first two words. Fascinating. :battingeyelashes:

A little pause in the harvests for 3-4 weeks.
I'm all caught up on recycling the soil from the last 2 harvests.
Stems and trunks were sliced into small chunks and added to the worm bins.

So today, when I transplanted Ace Mix (clone 1) plants into the final size 7 gal pot, I took a few photos to amuse myself. Once we get to know this Ace Mix (free seed), I'll be giving her another name. Untasted, I'd probably give her a stupid name like Project Z, so it's best to wait for a dry - and maybe some cure - rather than naming her a name I'd be changing in a month .

p.s. I learned a cilantro sprig that large is a little tough when it's 90F outside. I'll pick smaller ones next time :)
That looks pretty tastey there rad an congrats on the harvest and uppotting lookn gud as per usuall

I left the Bay Area about 97'. I sure did alot of work in San Jose'. I claimed Oakland as far as where I rode out of. But I lived all over that place. Moved there about 77'. Sure is a intresting place. Tons of shit to do. And growing weather to die for..
Looks like your getting alittle creative with your meals around there... Keepem Green

I think you experienced some of the best years of the Bay Area. In southern and central California, plants just like to grow. I think you can grow almost any plant in the world in Hollywood.
