We took a trip to a new smoke shop that just opened about 1 mile from my house

New additions among the bong collection.

20150627_164031.jpg

I added the shorter, slimmer, cheaper bong to the left of my wife's magnificent Tsunami (Suess)

I'm calling her Absinthe (The Green Fairy). She is fitted with 6 percs and a narrow smoke neck.

Absinthe has 3 original percolators ( a clear stick / a green screen / a clear tree ) with 3 more screen percs in the added ash catcher,

Are you a vape guy rad?

My wife has a MagicFlite that she used to enjoy a lot. For the past few months we have had frequent friends visits where we share smokes. They are bong and blunt people. Since I am mostly a social smoker, I have been almost exclusively a bong smoker for several months.

I never turn down an edible when I have time and space to enjoy it :)

Vape pens (oil) seem to universally suck !

The flavor of MagicFlite vaped herb is great. I don't seem to get as strong a high. I love brownies made from MagicFlite ABV.

I think I'll probably end up mostly edibles. The high is deeper, longer, feels more natural. I feel "normal" with edibles in a way I don't with smoking. I still haven't harvested enough to play the way I want to. To date, baked buds beats everything else I've tried. Amazing buzz that goes on forever. You just need to get used to chewing them. I think of them as candy now. :laughtwo:

edit Having buds with a cup of delicious coffee makes them easier to get down. I like chewing them, but I'm not your average bear. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I used to think you were a little screwy with the eating of buds! haha I'm just kidding. I've tried it myself, but not with baked buds. I should give it a try at some point. Edibles definitely give you a very bright eyed buzz that lasts throughout the day. Sort of like psychedelics.

I think I will pretty much phase out smoking pretty soon though. When I used to smoke cigarettes my gums started to get fairly aggravated after a couple years of partaking in that vice. I've noticed over the last year that when I smoke bud I get lingering dry mouth and my gums are once again sensitive. It never used to be like that (maybe cigs damaged my gums?)...and I have smoked cannabis for a long while now. I figure I like having teeth :) so maybe it will be good to move on from smoking regularly. Most of my friends do not smoke as much as I do, if at all, so I'm usually partaking alone. Since that's the case I will likely be purchasing a V-tower EQ soon. It does bags for when I have company, and also has a whip/mouthpiece for when I'm all alone.

If you have smoked cigarettes in the last decade, you might want to smoke your cannabis at least one a week.
Cannabis smoking combined with tobacco smoking has been shown to reduce lung cancer compared to tobacco smoking alone.
Not enough is known about vaping, since it is a newer method of consumption.

I've heard good things about the Arizer Extreme EQ. The bag and whip vape seems like a good choice for individual and shared use.

I've heard something like that before. I would think Vapor would have more benefits since it has none of the carcinogens that smoke does. Hmm who knows.

Beautiful plants Rado, but argh that was painful to see those gorgeous bongs. I've been through 5 bongs over 200$ now >.< as Loki stepped on my bong in a frenzied attempt to escape a lampshade he knocked over in passing yesterday. It was a lovely double honeycomb perc bong with a double honecomb ashcatcher as well -.- He stepped on the connector between the ashcatcher and the bong slide. :rip:

And I'm glad that Reg's notes helped you out :) you're sure that Hani's not revegging now? I'm still a bit concerned, looks like stress/mutation to me, but maybe it will just swell up now.. Just keep your eye on it. :Namaste:

My parents have a Great Dane named Loki! That ham weighs almost 200lb now.

Where else would I be looking than at the next to flower and also the first to flower in almost a year?

A bong and a dog, I don't think I could do it!

There is only one bong over $100 in our mix :)

Quality over fashion :)

Big Bertha is a girl!

The family relations came to do a defoliation on Big Bertha and Delilah,( unsexed plants in 12/12 for 19 days but not in flower yet.)

Big Bertha has several twin pistils showing. They are a little short to be definite, but I expect to be sure she's a girl tomorrow night :)

Delilah may be a boy - A good defoliation was done anyway.

Mrs. Rado has a 1-gal freezer bag packed tight with healthy trim (for an oil recipe.) The worms get the rest.

No pictures. I posted enough pictures already this weekend.

Hi Radogast, you have an impressive thread going on. If you are into vaporizers, I suggest you checking the Plenty vaporizer by the makers of the volcano vaporizer! It is consistently as one of the best desktop vaporizers; There is a guy that reviews vapes in youtube and he says it is one of the best vaporizers out there, second only to the volcano. It is a whip vaporizer only thou...
Well, good luck and best wishes with your grow!

Big Bertha & Delilah get a trim

While both these girls are sexually delayed, they needed defoliation.

Big Bertha and Delilah 18 days into 12/12

Big Bertha (they discussed this trim while defoliating. They have a plan, but I don't get it)

Delilah (a trim I can understand)

A bag of sugar-free trim for Mrs. Rado to practice making oil. There should be CBD in these leaves, right?

A close-up of Hawaiian Skunk 'Hani' - 49 days (7 weeks) under 12/12

Hawaiian Skunk 'Hani' staying green (except for where her leaves get brushed close to the door)

20150629_223226-1.jpg

A look at her main bud. It's hard to see the flowers for the leaves.

20150629_212953-1.jpg

The odd leaves sprouting from the top of her main bud are growing flowers - the bud underneath is thickening.
I think this topknot will be a sample bud. We will see :)

I tried to get bud trichomes, but only got sugar leaf trichome shots. These are not a true color as they are under the HPS.

Ooooo, I like the trichome shots Rad. You're getting good with that. Look how nicely shaped they are. Looking good. That top growth on her is wild. I've never seen anything like that before.

Giselle - mystery breeder seed - Also 7 weeks in 12/12 about 45 days since showing flower sized pistils

Both Hani and Giselle have recieved water only except for one compost tea and one popcorn tea.
Giselle is yellowing leaves just like the White Widow and Caramelicious from the same breeder.

Giselle's Main trunk (I couldn't get her all in one photo)

One of Giselle's larger buds (in the top 6 buds, close enough to take a photo.)

One of Giselle's smaller buds (close enough to take a photo with the loupe.) Still less trichomes than Hani.

White Widow and Caramelicious clones. 7 weeks in 12/12

Looking at the photos, I need to drag one of these girls out of the room and look at under white light.
The Caramelicious smells yummy. The White Widow looks nearly ready.

They aren't big plants, but they seem like they will be tastier than their mothers.
I'm hoping their daughters will be even better :)

White Widow plants 60 weeks old - but they survived until near harvest.

I think this is Caramelicious Quiffa

I should have been done posting pictures - but then there were bugs.

In the early veg swick, I had two lanky clones, 1 Girl Scout Cookies, 1 Snowcap. Their leaves looked bad lately. Like they were stressed/hungry/something.
These were 2 of 4 clones my family members brought in from an outside grower at the beginning of June.
They convinced me to give them a home because after the long winter we had a dry spring and the outside grower was worried he might lose his genetics.
They asked before bringing the clones over, so it is my responsibility.

The two clones I transplanted into the big CC mix pots on 6/9 are looking great. (1 GSC, 1 Snowcap)
A careful inspection of all the other plants showed no visible bugs.
The two local grower clones that had bugs were immediately isolated outdoors in the back yard
