Radogast 2 - Return of the Clones

rad what kind of fan controller do you use?

Before I put my first seed in the ground, I purchased an in-line fan and a temperature based fan controller with a manual termperature dial for day and night mode (lights on and lights off.)

18 months later, I would now use a fan speed controller: a simple reostat type that runs the fan continuously at a lower than 100% speed. They are cheaper than what I have, and provide continuous cooling to the lamps rather than intermittent cooling like I have. Day night mode might be niced but it could be hooked in to the lights timer.

I am considring the Active Air 6" in-line fan + speed controller pair for my garden room. I might not need it, as the nearly worthless el cheapo duct fan is doing a good enough job. I will decide after I get a harvest. I still need to reassure myself there is a payoff for the time, lights, elecricity, and worry over these cannabis plants. Right now I feel like I should be attending a meeting : "Hi. My name is Radogast. I'm an indoor grower. It has been eleven months since my last harvest."

Sorry, What was the question?
Oh yeah.
My Fan Controller is a TMP_DNe by C.A.P Custom Automated Products - cost about $90 - Not particularly recommended, but works fine as designed.

yeah i will see you at that meetting

Did you ever try any of the organic made pest controls. I added some recipes in my sig below. I never have tried any of them. But maybe in the future...

I planted over a dozen types of seeds: comfrey, lavendar, yarrow, etc this spring hoping to grow some preventative foliar sprays...

All I have successfully growing in harvestable size is chocolate mint, lavendar, lemon thyme. I have a 'cerise queen' yarrow purchasd as a 2" pot that will get there by the fall. I also have neem oil that I purchased from Build-a-soil, but no agsil to use as an emulsifier.

My worms are busy making worm castings for future top dressing of soil.
Currently, all the large pots have Clackamas Coot Mix/Earthworm castings in my soil as pest repellent. This has worked well in stopping the fungus gnat invasion that starts every time I mix up soil with compost (about once a month.) That has also made me a little complacent and lazy about preparing foliar and pesticide sprays. :)

I considered making my own rosemary oil spray, but the oil I had on hand didn't smell right.

So, no, I haven't tried homemade natural pest controls ... yet.

Thanks for the link to COorganics blog. . . . I miss him.

I can't get down with the other people on other forums. I'll still mine them for information sometimes and see if I can't cross reference it with someone on :420: but the people here are so great. I miss CO very much. I looked at him as a mentor and possibly one day a real life friend as well. He is definitely missed!

I always hope he'll drop in just to say what's up to the homies.

Perhaps he is ghosting the logs right now and we don't even know it. That would be cool. :ciao: CO if you are secretly reading this!

Flowering room 3 of 6 not showing sex yet

I sprayed the garden room with SNS217 Rosemary Oil. This is the 3rd spray in 5 days. I haven't seen a moving mite in 3 days.
Somehow I forgot to take pictures. I also did a spray of the branches closest to the door in the flowering room.

Delilah and Big Bertha, 4 weeks under 12/12, still are not putting out flowers. I raised both lights to 18" above canopy for a more autumn aesthetic.
Salome, 9 days under 12/12 is looking male. I'll watch and confirm.

back: Salome (not in picture), AK47 Gabby (9 days 12/12, flowering 7 days)
front: Delilah (4 weeks 12/12, unsexed), Big Bertha(4 weeks 12/12, unsexed)

Gorgeous girls, Rado, really beautiful!

Thanks. I'm thinking 3-4 weeks for a harvest Giselle, Hani, and the small White Widow and Caramelicious clones. Placing us near August 1.

Big Bertha, Deillah, and Salome still haven't shown sex so my potential harvest is pushed back at least 4 weeks.

My next harvest after August is 9 weeks to never for 1-4 plants, putting us in October. With 2-4 more plants in November/December.

It's not yet smoothed out, but I'm looking for a 3-4 plant rotation through flower every 5-6 weeks, reusing the same soil.

My head is spinning with all the perpetual schedules.... I'm gonna need another light! :loopy:

It never stops Magic. There's always a need for another light. :laughtwo:

I feel the same way SweetLeef. I go to the other sites but they just don't have that feel of family we seem to have developed here. I mine them for information to bring back here. It's just friendlier and happier here. We laugh more. I like that. :laughtwo:

I've only been to other sites while looking for strain and light reviews.
I never know whether to trust what I read there. And yes, less happiness overflowing
