Radogast 2 - Return of the Clones

Dr Earth soil mixed with peat moss, and Dr. Earth alone caused medium high rise in the water PH passing through the soil.
Dr. Earth was definitely high PH.
Hydro store soil, same store and product as my first grow, caused Very high rise in the water PH passing through the soil.
The soil I trusted was even higher PH.

There was no detected change in water PH passing through the coco coir,
So my plants (not in coco coir) are all experiencing higher PH than gfcollective's plants.

I live for the day when worrying about ph is a thing of the past for you Rad. :green_heart:

Hey, I don't worry about PH. My water PH has stayed reliable, and I found it to work well with my nutrients last grow (which lower PH.)

Everything was so smooth that failed to concern myself with PH.
How can a company selling potting soil for Marijuana get away with making their product incompatible with Marihuana plants?

Anyway, it was trust in their basic integrity that made me not really test and question their products.

Photo update
(Trust me, they are doing better :) )

Recovering Seedlings

These look like Dale's Nepenthes, with their long, lanky stems. I'm so glad they're surviving. Is this some kind of record Rad? :laughtwo:

Not a record I want to duplicate!

In a month or so, when I feel the sap is really flowing, I'll clone these clones and grow some happy girls.
The snow is melting today. I'm hoping to go lava rock shopping this weekend.

When these all start showing new, abundant, healthy growth across the board, cloning them and "starting over" is a great idea. Please use aloe vera, soak cuttings for a period of time (no more than a day is needed, less is fine too) in a glass of water with aloe. Attempt to do this in a room that is neither really cold or really dry. If you like the domes you could utilize one of those here. Next transfer cuttings into preferred cloning medium/method. Cuts will root in a weeks or so. Don't do anything else with them. This is serious business, aloe for cloning. Aloe has the same compounds in it that make up the active ingredient(s) in commercial rooting hormone products, like the gels or powders that are sold under various brand names in the hydro stores. Aloe works much better for cloning than any rooting hormone I've ever tried. Not to mention the plethora of other benefits aloe brings into your garden. If you don't want to buy/grow/have your own aloe plants, use the 200X organic aloe extract like sue is using.

Good suggestion.

I have an aloe plant upstairs. I plan to root an aloe or two in my perpetual no-till pots once they get going.
In the meantime, I will use up the clonex gel I already have.
(My success rate with clonex gel, rock wool cubes and a humidity dome is something like 15 out of 16. )

I did not know about the Aloe, thats cool. I use the cloning dome with rapid rooter plugs too and so far I am 100% with about 60 done over last couple years. There was one that almost didn't make it but I gave it a few more days and boom new leafs.

Your seedlings and clones are looking greener - good job. :)
:peace:

Get yourself a jewelers loop or a usb microscope and check the trichomes. The only sure way to know if it's time to harvest is based on the color of the resin glands. clear to milky is going to be really up and creative high. The more amber you have, the more couch lock your bud will be.

looking good keep it up!

Thanks thehighway. This grow has been a real struggle.

I feel like Tim Allen in Galaxy Quest "Never give up! Never surrender!

( A lot better than the "By Granthor's hammer" catch phrase :) )
. . .

I watered the clones again tonight with 4 gallons at about half strength nutrients (BioBizz BioGrow)

A couple of the seedlings are looking like they want a larger pot !
