Queen's Sophmore Grow F - Lemon Skunk - Big Bang - Along With Some Bag Seed Sprouts

Re: Queen's Sophmore Grow F - Lemon Skunk - Big Bang - Along With Some Bag Seed Sprou

QTL,

The article says it should be a 3% solution. If that is what you have use it full stength. If it comes in

5% strength - dilute it with an equal amount of water
8% strength - dilute it with two parts water
35% dilute with eleven parts water.

The last one is really strong and has to be handled carefully.

You can mix a batch and put in a dark container or out of the light (causes H2O2 to degrade). I wouldn't keep a batch around for two long as it will progressively degrade. Using distilled water for diluting is recommended (so that impurities don't cause degradation), but is not necessary. Distilled water may extend the shelf life, but otherwise will be no more effective than whatever water you typically use.

Once you have made a 3% solution do the following:
Three percent Hydrogen Peroxide may be added at up to three ml's per liter (2 1\2 tsp. Per gallon), but it is recommended that you start at a lower concentration and increase to full strength over a few weeks. Use every watering even on fresh cuttings.

Since water whisks away so quickly from coco, this should work quickly.

Re: Queen's Sophmore Grow F - Lemon Skunk - Big Bang - Along With Some Bag Seed Sprou

Ggrant--Peroxide is 3 percent from the bottle so then I don't have to dilute at all then, correct? But I also noticed that plant and another are root bound. Could this also cause the limp leaf problem? I don't have a bigger pot to transplant in so can I do a little surgery and cut the roots short and repot? I thought I saw someone do this on a video. And when I put back in pot then give them the peroxide?

Am a bit flustered because I have run out of pots but I don't want my plants to become more root bound. I was not really expecting this and have no funds at the moment to get more pots or anything around the house that I can use to be ghetto fabulous with. Also where can I find these orange airstones at? I looked on Ebay but all I say were airstones for aquariums, are those the same thing? Temp is at 77 and rh is at 65. The clones seem to be holding their own. I did check for roots last night but didn't see any. Its been almost a week now.

Re: Queen's Sophmore Grow F - Lemon Skunk - Big Bang - Along With Some Bag Seed Sprou

The orange balls are hydrotron, ie expanded clay balls.

Thanks Mark. Ok, well here is what I did. I pulled the plants out of their pots, trimmed the roots and put back in the pot. They all were root bound. I will give them a few days to see how they respond. If they continue to droop then I will try the peroxide mixture. I did make the mixture and let them sit in it for a few hours but that was it. Miwa, will remember garbage bags in the future.

That's right. Of course you have to use it according to the instructions in my previous post. Alway mix it with the amount of water mentioned. Never use it straight - that would kill the plants. At the concentrations recommended, it's pretty harmless, that is, even if your plants didn't have a problem, it wouldn't hurt them. After all, all it is doing is adding oxygen to the soil, and you can't have enough of that.

Re: Queen's Sophmore Grow F - Lemon Skunk - Big Bang - Along With Some Bag Seed Sprou

Nothing to really report...temps were very cool today...it is at 69 and humidity is at 51. The coco is still moist so I am letting it dry out a bit.

Re: Queen's Sophmore Grow F - Lemon Skunk - Big Bang - Along With Some Bag Seed Sprou

One plant seems to still be giving me issues. So, I started giving it the peroxide mixture tonight. But since I trimmed the roots to all of the bs that were drooping, I have noticed that they have perked up. The coco is still moist with the other plants so maybe I will feed them tomorrow or the next day. The clones are still doing good but I haven't seen any roots yet. I have them in milk containers. Temp and rh are within normal range.

Re: Queen's Sophmore Grow F - Lemon Skunk - Big Bang - Along With Some Bag Seed Sprou

In time the little ones will root. Some strains take longer than other to root...

Yeah I have been told that. But this has been my first successful clones, not sure of how to go about it all just yet.

Re: Queen's Sophmore Grow F - Lemon Skunk - Big Bang - Along With Some Bag Seed Sprou

It is kinda scarry when you first start cloning, you just don't want to kill them. With a little practice it will become easer. A while back I had to give up on my Papya, her cutting just would not root. I plan on trying her again, I still have a few beans left...

Well one of them is gonna be a male since I took clones of each one. I am just happy they're still alive...lol..They can take their time cause at the moment, I am outta pots to transplant.

Love it when the underdog wins...and that 1000w is gonna be a beast. :thumb:

Well, just noticed while putting water in the humidifier that the filter got mold on it. I hope I caught it on time and does not affect the plants. I'll have to get another filter but in the meantime I will be keeping a close eye on the humidity.

Great job on the clones QTL!!:thumb::goodjob::circle-of-love:

I think your quick catch on to the humidifier shouldn't be a problem. Just check to see how they're doing and if nothing it should be all good. That happened to me at the beginning but I just had to keep cleaning it!

Great luck with everything and I hope Kharma is doing fantastic!:circle-of-love::high-five:

Thank you Ma'am...And Kharma is bad as ever. I really need to get him on video when he decided to cut up. It's too funny.

Re: Queen's Sophmore Grow F - Lemon Skunk - Big Bang - Along With Some Bag Seed Sprou

I planted four clones, QTL.

Two survived. One is doing great, the other not too bad. It took three weeks to root them.

I didn't know what I was doing (I still don't), but I made sure the humidity was high and the temperature warm.

I even covered them in a transparent plastic bag (the kind you get at supermarkets) and that kept the humidity high enough so that they wouldn't die before they eventually rooted.

Thanks, I was wondering how long they take to root but I thought someone also said 5-7 days.. And about 3 weeks if you don't use rooting solution...Did I get this wrong or is it more of a personal choice?

I guess I got a little too cocky with my grow. Something funky is going on with two of my bag seed plants. I am seeing leaves turning light green or yellowing along with some funky spots. I am thinking increase nutes and maybe mg issues again or maybe even something with the ph? That is my first impression of it all. I will post pics tomorrow because I am so high about now and am in game mode so I am gonna go kill some zombies now.
