Any green bulb would do fine!!! I bought a CFL from wal mart for 5 bucks!!! uses only 13 watts!!! and it is only used on lights out!!! totally lights up the whole room!!! I put my light meter to it and it read 0!!!

Another one of the plants ended up being a male so now I have two. So, I moved him out with the other love slave.

I will try to post one tomorrow. I did post one of my male on this thread prolly a page or two back but the pic came out really shitty. I was trying to do a close up. Maybe someone will see this and post a good pic of what a male looks like. Trust once you see them with all those balls you never will be confused again!!

Hmmm, ok I must be missing something here...But I swear he is 27 inches tall. I measured him and everything...Unless you guys got ya minds in the gutter, if there is someone working with 27 inches DO NOT STAND BY ME....lol...And I am calling Guinness...

are they different strains? if so you can get even more interesting crosses and genetic diversity, if they are the same strain, you can pick the more desirable one to breed based on who has the best look node spacing,maybe pick the shorter one, and check the smell the pro way is done by a scratch n sniff type method you rub the main stem on the lower third of the plant about where you would take clones with your fingernail and just smell that spot, takes care to note the differences ,its advised to wash your hand and clear your pallet by drinking water ,going outside foe a few minutes,,then do the next one,, also look close with a scope/magnifier at the leaves and stuff for trichomes (yes males get them too) you can even smoke some of the dried flowers for taste and may notice a bit of a high, if one gives you a buzz and the other does not you prolly just found your male winner no no not wiener! (sorry could not resist!) this is how dj short picks his males for breeding, :thumb:

I don't mind you posting those pics for Kamy at all, please do. I didn't know you could smoke the flowers off the males. I have been plucking leaves from the male and do get an odor when I smell my fingers. All I know is that they're bag seed...

I don't know what's going on but I can't seem to find my other journal since I erased the link from my sig line..

ok qtl heres some pics of how i have pollinated flowers in the past it worked well and i got quite a few seeds, followed by a few pics of male flowers in a couple of the shots you can kinda see the trichomes on the males, it was early in flower and they were not showing much, next time i will take pics of them with the male late in flower when they are much more visible,ok on to the pics

Thanks for the pics, Irish. They helped a lot, now where is Kamy. He should be seeing those last two pics. So, he can identify a male.

Well, the ladies are sleeping right now. Just thought I would give a mini update. The ladies seem to be doing well. Staying quite thirsty, seems like I am water about every 2 days. Plant 1 has started showing pistils while plant 2 has been having an explosion of pistils coming from everywhere. I have been picking off fan leaves so that the middle of the plants can get some light. The males are doing good too. I have not seen any sacs open up yet. I will take some pics of them all later when lights come on.

Ok, lights are on and the plants are ready to show you what they got...Current temp is 79 and rh is at 33..I have the fan blowing furiously on them making them shake what their mama gave them...lol..Btw, how do you post vids on here? I have 3 little short clips of each one as well...*in slick rick voice*....And heeeeeeere we go.....*cue in Slick Rick's Children's Story*.......not sure if I could post Youtube vids or I would post the video.....they are at the end of week 1 of flowering....
