It may sound stupid....but my friend was doing dwc and kept having res temp issues. He took the 4x8 sheets of styrofoam insulation and cut it to where it sat on top of his dwc buckets and basically created like a tabletop that insulated the buckets if that makes sense.
Sorry for the rudimentary drawing but he did this and it worked.

A few bucks for him and issue resolved....I don't know how good it did during like august but it did help his temp issues tremondously. And the insulation can just be seperated and removed whenever you need to deal with your res buckets

There's always the small fan above your res blowing air across the surface to shave a few degrees also

May be a quick easy fix, ill keep that idea on my short list. I debated not running the aero until fall but just had to do it in the end. Lol

In theory heat rises so if you have some one inch thick Styrofoam it should deflect the heat back up. If its good enough to make insulated coolers for food/beverages it just may be worth a try. Either way I hope you dont have issues and have nothing but smooth sailing. The heat is the only reason I haven't started dwc yet. I think when winter comes im gonna make me a bubble bucket
