No, this means that the unit is not sealed like a refrigerator. Outside temps will effect cooling abilities. So with that humidity in the unit is the same as outside. Or you would have ice buildup or a drip pan to catch condensation.Being thermoelectric would mean it wouldn't frost at all?

Thanks I am new to this method of drying and curing I am old fashion style with 5 days hanging and then jars burped twice a day for 20 minsJust a suggestion. OK
After wash. Air dry for 4hrs. Paper bag in refrigerator. Change out bags every couple of hours for the first 12hrs. Than change bags every 12hrs untill bags do not feel damp.
