Purple Pics

Funny, I was hoping he was going to turn it into fertilizer. :laughtwo:

All about perspective, I guess...
Good morning Azi :ciao:
I'd rather buy nutrients and enjoy eating the fish.
Though turning it into pot and smoking it isn't such a bad idea either.;)
I'll consume it one way or the other.
Hope your morning is going well my friend.

Stay safe
Bill

New growth looks good, color is good all is well.
Ladies are doing good my friend. :ciao:
Do you have bags to uppot them into?
When you uppot that's a good time to add @DYNOMYCO to the roots.
That's when you can sprinkle or spray directly on the roots.
May be too late for these girls but keep that in mind for the future.
Don't waste the opportunity.

Stay safe

good morning my friend @Bill284

Im glad you told me about purple pics I made a lot of new friends and it is encouraging to see there are plenty of people like me that you take care of Now be honest does it feel like herding cats at times lol. But I think you are a lot like me when it comes to helping others, I know on the rare occasions that I truly help people it makes me feel good I hope it does for you too. Just a heads up I have noticed the last 2 grows I need to improve on my transplant from solo cup to 5 gal pot I am not getting the good root foundation. Like Im pretty sure my plants should not move when I water them lol asd you know I grow in FFOF so I dig a hole but my small seedling, it in and cover it with Happy frog. if you could advise me or direct me to a good post I would greatly appreciate it I want to learn about add that stuff LOL most people use when transplanting
have an awesome day :thumb:

hey guys hope your day is going well, I got a question
Due to a mix-up, I bought a big bag of FFOF by the time they got the o rder right I got 2 bags of Happy frog 2 small bags of FFOF, and a 40 lb bag of worm barf aKA WORM CASTINGS (actually worm vomit) with FFOF it is aLREADY PRETTY HOT SOIL Grrr I hate this keyboard and my sausage fingers any way the only thing I add to it is a lot of big chunk perlite what can I do with all these worm castings? I already plan on starting to use DYNOMYCO on my roots I want to have soil that will protect me against Myself and defend me against Lockouts. will worm castings add any benefits to FFOF or just make it hotter?

You can top dress an organic grow with the castings to your heart's content. They're actually pretty mild but oh, so good for your soil. There is something about the worm's gut that makes anything that goes through it loaded with microbes and it ends up being much more than just the broken down inputs. The good old "Unicorn Poop." And the castings come out the back end of the worm, not the front.

Some people start their seeds in the stuff, it's so mild. But, they can be a bit dense in a mix so just be sure you have enough aeration if you add them to your mix. That's especially true for fresh worm castings, although I assume you got them dried.

I add castings at 6.25% of my mix, and topdress with an inch or so on top of the pots and then cover that with mulch.

They are a good source of 'N' but much much more. I'd say that was a pretty good score! :thumb:

you are correct it does come out of their butt the definition calls it vomit so I assumed it came out the front .they barf out their butt lol how gross is that. so they are pretty much a good source of nitrogen which means they are good for every stage except late flower? I got 2 flowering and 2 seedlings so it would be ok to sprinkle some on top of the seedling soil and cover them with a layer of soil > and I could use them with some myco on a transplant? my transplants have been nothing to brag about I understand now that transplanting correctly has an influence on the plant thru the entire cycle so all I do is learn and do it better

Thx azimuth I appreciate your help

The worm castings bring some incredible things to your soil so I use it straight thru. Maybe go a little easier in flower if you are concerned about that, but I literally put it on pretty thick and cover it with mulch so it doesn't dry out. And that includes my plants that are headed to flower. I usually up-pot them a week or two prior to flip and when I do I add that heavy layer of castings on top of the new soil mix and then cover that with mulch (leaf mold in my case).

In an organic grow the plant tells the microbes what it wants for nutrients and then the microbes go get it from the soil buffet, so just because it's available doesn't mean the plant is going to use it. That's different from bottle feeding where all of the nutrients are readily plant available and if you have a lot of N in your nute mix, then the plant will be taking up whatever you give it.

So, in organic soils the idea is to load it up with everything the plant will need for the cycle and then let the plant determine what and when it takes stuff up. Plus, plants still need plenty of N in flower. Some a bit less than in veg, but still a pretty good amount. I'd just say watch your plants and if you see signs of 'N' toxicity (really dark green leaves with clawing of leaf ends) then you can adjust. But until it breaks, that's what I do.

Good morning GF :ciao:
Curled tips is usually overwatering or nitrogen toxicity.
Color is light so not nitrogen.
Slightly heavy fluffy leaves are generally overwatered.
Did you say you were uppotting this week?
Hope you enjoy your weekend Amigo.:thumb:
Sorry it's taken me so long.
I'm run ragged last couple days.

Hi bill hope your good. And yes the pouches came and I uppotted today first time ever. Think it went ok but because of the leaves it seemd it was sticking out a little bit but used garden tie to lift the leaves from the soil as best i could anyways. Gave them 3 litres of feed and water each and a nice sprinkle of myko. The light is at about 65% so see how they go. :thumb:

Good morning GF :ciao: glad to see them able to spread out now.
When you get a minute check my Gorilla Glue clone thread.
There is a pictorial on uppotting.
You need to fill those pots.:Namaste:
That is the most valuable real-estate in your tent.
And you are not utilizing it my friend.
Pots should be full and raised in the center for root growth and watering.
Have a great weekend Amigo. ;)

Love that owl bong, lol.
Looks a lot like some drinking jars my sister gave me!
Hey Melville :ciao:
I been meaning to tell you how much I'm enjoying your training on the ladies.
Your really hitting a home run there. :thumb:
Every time I grab the tablet I have 75 notifications and there is always someone with their hair on fire.
So I never have time to chat anymore.
Especially with the problems in the tent.
Hope your doing as good as your ladies. ;)

Stay safe
