Leaves feel dry and I Think im guna raise the light couple inches later on like you said see if they like it. Thanks again bill
the first lesson obill weed Kenobi Ganga jedi master teaches us growing Newbies is DONT OVER WATER!~ We all seem to have that issue from the start. bill is 100% correct the leaves may feel dry but we water the roots while the leaves are dry the roots are in a wet mush ball Ill recommend to you the same thing bill did for me read @Emilya post Em's watering bible I made the mistake of following a schedule the only schedule that matters is Mom Natures a good rule of thumb is dont water till you stick your finger in the soil to your second Knuckle if it is bone dry then water Em's post will cover it all

I was writing this when you posted lol I am using 5-gallon gro pro warriors go to my journal link on my sig for Pawpaws medicine tent and there is more info on them they are air pruning pots. dont worry bud you'll be harvesting nice buds yourself Just listen to what the oldie but goodies have to say here at 420 mag, especially bill
Good luck:goodluck:

I appreciate every comment on here I love the positive vibes and comments we have on here its a blessing. Thanks again.

Hi Savvage!
Thought I'll post this as I'm currently also growing Gorilla Glue autos, from FastBuds and Barney's Farm and I'm struggling with same kind of issues. Exactly same tbh.

Firstly, yes indeed it is a Calcium and Magnesium shortage symptoms. Just like mine.
And apparently it has something to do with Phosphorus. And I've been doing alot research on Gorilla Glue and the parent strains.
Did you know GG#4 was originally accidentally bred from a hermie plant? Gorilla Glue tends to be that strain which likes heavy feed, but the strain seem to be a very sensitive to P. That would explain if "toxic" amounts of P may causes plant to start producing seeds. And Phosphorus builds up very easily in medium causing massive lockouts (especially Calcium, Potassium & Magnesium, and other trace cations)

I've tried CalMag to just barely hit 70ppm Ca and 25ppm Mg. Worked my way up to and over the max recommended dose of CalMag. No improvement.
However what I've noticed if Phosphorus is kept at minimum (aka very small dose of Bloom ferts) the water and nutrient uptake gets better. And hard to say yet if the symptoms has fully stopped spreading. Definitely slowed down.
If you want to see my plants they can be found from sig link "Hempy journal" and you can compare mine to yours.

PS. May I guess the symptoms started about two-three weeks after the plant started to stretch/shifted into bloom?
PSS. You really want to get the good ratios for them because if theyre lacking Ca for long time that causes blossom end rot on flowering cannabis.

Edit: are you using several different Bloom nutrients + Purpinator which also has 3-4% P(?)
Ugh I bet your Phosphorus ppm is skyrocketing and accumulating in your medium.
TLDR; my #1 guess with the GG's is Phosphorus causing the lockouts and deficiences.

Verb
Verb Thanks for your response yep I just ended open sesame5-45-19, tiger bloom 2-8-4 Purpinator 0-2-4 and I am supposed to start beastly blooms next feeding 0-50-30 so yeah I see an over slight abundance of phosphorous:laughtwo:
Maybe I need to flush and hold of on the fox farm solubles and stick to Tiger bloom and purpinator it makes a lot of sense and yeah same problem Im having after looking at yours. Im nosey and i saw you had issues with the po-po what state you live in? they jmust legalized it here in VA. they always say"weed is the gateway drug " WHAT f'N IDIOTS I spent 46 years as an outlaw . I am responsible for the choices I made so I gotta take 99% of the blame but my love of cannabis and corrupt political laws stopped me from getting great jobs or staying in the Army and on the other side of johnny law, but on the other side I raised my family by building homes and weed distribution any way I could go on for hours Now that I am 61 yrs old it is legal so at least I will spend the rest of my years Growing and enjoying weed with dodging Johnny Law (I cant run anymore Thank god its legal) you nailed my issue I belive I think I will flush today and back off on the Phosphorus and in 4-5 weeks be stuffing jars and bags with beautiful buds to cure. Thank you My new found friend I will keep you updated

Is it finished?!!! Can’t wait for the pics!
River keeps getting in the way.
Soon.:meditate:
At least they are in.

Stay safe

Hell lot of P :D
and stick to Tiger bloom and purpinator
This sounds good.

And I'm living in Finland. Legalization revolves around the topic of political discourse every year, more or less.
Several citizens' initiative have garnered enough votes but all legal reforms are still rejected at the end of the day.

I'm glad if helped at all :) Let us know if any improvement happens.

Has anyone had that kind of skin on the stalk before? (2nd pic)
It's totally normal. It is like part of the cotyledons. I believe it's some kind of protective film for the young seedling stalk.
When the stalk starts to thicken the film just dries and disappears by time.

Seedling looks over fed and watered tho. In the pic medium then looks bone dry - and texture looks like coconut(?) If it's coco you don't want to let the media never dry too much. Treat coco like other hydroponics.

Newest leaves showing excess N signs and chlorosis on lower leaves could be a Ca def symptoms (excess N has antagonism with other elements) or too wet medium makes Phosphorus less available.
But by overall, as Bill said it looks like a bad watering habits.
If it's coco or coco/peat keep the medium moist (hah some ppl can't stand this word) all the time. Peat is more forgiving and runnin wet/dry cycles with it is actually good.
If you let coco too dry it usually causes weird pH swings.

Verb
Hi there verb thanks for your input. Its a complete new run for me after years out of the game im running biobizz light mix which is a peat based soil medium as i mentioned to bill the sides of the pot were cracking from dryness so i was watering and feeling the pots for weight everytime i checked on them which is daily so ive probs misjudged the weight i used to start in bigger pots but wanted to do the up potting methods on the new run. Ive only given them 2 feeds in the space of 3 weeks since sprouting. Hope I can turn them around wouldnt want to ruin the good genetics  . Thanks again man

Just so ur not confused... i wasnt watering them everyday.

I've also used BLM before in small air pots. BLM is very sandy/loose medium, It's texture is very close to coco but still has the soil buffer benefits. It's actually a very good medium, prob using some day again. Just gotta add bit more perlite into it.
Anyways on the last pics the soil is too dry already. Under and over watering has very similar effects.
So I'd maybe try to get the watering routines under the control first, then modify the feed if needed. And my two cents is lower your micro/veg nutes Nitrogen amount. When excess N stats to accumulate enough at the root zone it causes usually Calcium and/or Potassium deficiency. Both elements needed in larger quantities 24/7 while plant photosynthesis.

Verb again thanks for the knowledge. I was using 2ml per 5 litre of ph 6.3 water. And i only gave around 100ml on each of them because of there size and age there wasnt much run off the last time i did it which was around 6 days ago and 3 days ago i gave them a watering around the same amount 100ml each. Are you saying I should now give em more because i made a batch earlier with 8 ml bio grow to 5 litre 6.3 ph water ?? Was going to give them that tomorrow

Doesnt look good for this girl this morning

That looks like a watering issue, like maybe you are overwatering? If you are, the roots can begin to rot and the plant starts showing what looks like deficiency issues, because that's what it is. The nutrients are there but the rotted roots can't supply them to the plant.

How dry do you let it get between waterings?

And, when you feel the weight, is it surprisingly light, like the medium is bone dry?
Ye so then when i water i thought ide water til a little bit of run off then wait few days again whilst feelin the weight every day then same again. Not used to small pots tho i used to just jump strate in to big pots. But heard it was easier to start in small pots and up pot but it seemed harder lol. One of them i dont think is saveable i just touched a leaf and it just broke off in my hand it was that dry.

WOW, @Bill284, what a fabulous and very informative post!!! And a new primer on how you do your air pots!! Very cool. You end up with a lot more perlite than I do. Hmm....maybe I should up my concentration next time. That looks like the big stuff too, is it #3 or #4? Do you rinse it first to remove the dust, or just take it from the top of the bag and shake the pot like a lazy man (me) does? Lol. Also, can you talk just a little bit attached to the pot prep your activation methodology (what you water with to activate and when relative to planting a seed in it?)? That would help at least one person I'm familiar with (me again....), and likely others! Thanks Sensei, great post!!!
I’m a relatively new grower and Bill has helped me from the getgo. Whenever I have a question I ask him, always gives me the right answer. Glad he’s here as I’m sure a lot of newbies are
