Purple Pics

It took me a few runs to get this method perfected, well not perfect but pretty dam good.
You can use it in bags or plastic pots even solo cups.
It's simple to adapt into any grow and pretty much guarantees good root health.
I can't say it enough I grow roots and get a healthy plant as a reward.
Your ok obviously but new growers should try it asap.
I can't recommend it enough to anyone just starting out.
Easy and effective.

I'll be sure to bookmark this now and if I see a newbie with similar growing intentions, I'm sending them this way. Seems like a fool proof method, it catches you if you need catching but your supplements and addendums I'm sure really make a huge difference. How much time would you say you need to wait after spraying with the kelp water for it all to activate or does it do it automatically with that spritz as the catalyst?

The insect frass and mycorrhizae come to life immediately.
I feed a tea of Bokashi and molasses every week or so to feed and multiply the microbes.
The Bokashi I mix into my coco tub 100 L.
And let it sit constantly, but 2 weeks is more than enough for Bokashi.
A tea of Bokashi and molasses is instantaneous. BTW. ;)

@Azimuth
Hope this helps. ;)

Here is the insect  Frass I use.
It's brilliant, hard to get but it's like gold.
Read what's in it.

That frass is dynamite stuff. :thumb:

Bokashi

I ran coco indoors perpetual harvest.
Bokashi kept my coco alive.
I ran 50 % used and 50 % new with fresh Perilite mixed in.
The combination of the trio kept my coco going like rocket fuel.
And I never had any issues with left over roots in the pots.
I knew if I had a good thick layer of white mold on top of everything my coco was alive and well.
And keeping my roots healthy and happy.

Worm castings would have screwed up my system.
I ran Everything at 5.8 ph.
That would be in jeopardy if I added worm poo.
But I completely understand your method.
And applaud it.
It all works and your girls love it.

Mycorrhizae

I use @DYNOMYCO

I am not sure what mycorrhizae may be available through your worm poo to be honest.:Namaste:
But nothing beats the benefits of @DYNOMYCO
Hope I did miss anything.
If you use this trio with my layering method you will have accelerated healthier root growth.
I can attest to this month in and month out.

Actually, even some not so new growers, when they switch to this, find the results destroy whatever they were doing before....at least this one did. Lol.

@Azimuth
Give me a minute to put this post together.

Goddamnit @Bill284, will you quit it? I was totally happy with my frass until you posted this. Now I gotta spend more money.

@Azimuth -- my frass is the poop AND the ground up exoskeletons of the black something fly. I think the better the frass, the less it's just insect poop and the more the % of actual ground insects, as well as all the stuff Bill's has.

Hey @Jon me again. :ciao:
That frass is a proprietary mix.
There is stuff not listed.
It's an old Dutch Dude who used to go door to door in his pickup truck.
Peddling his shit.
It was so good that now he supplies a local licensed producer big $$$$.
I managed to scrounge a few bags but it's harder and harder to get.
I can't even get a hold of him anymore.
But by chance if you can get a few bags.
Well worth the money, a teaspoon has billions of microbes.

EDIT:

Here is a terrific benefit.
As well as preventing root rot.

I'm gonna try to find it anyway, cuz it looks like it dusts mine. Lol.

Thanks, Bill.

I did a little research and apparently worm casting do have some of that good stuff in it. I do a lot of experiments and maybe someday I'll do a side-by-side to see any difference for myself.

Man, that's one of the things I love about this hobby. Always something new to learn! :thumb:

Why just this morning the ladies got a meal of frass and bokashi on their 3rd day of flower. Great notes on both earlier! Thanks! I have a question. In 10 gallon cloth with LOS soil I used a heaping tablespoon over the soil of frass and a half a hand full of bokashi. What do you think of those amounts? I have no idea:straightface:

Good afternoon Stone :ciao:, hope everything is going well my friend.
Frass has billions of microbes per gram.
So I'd go a gram as a minimum in up to 3 gallon pots.
5 to 7 gallon I'd go 2 grams or a tablespoon, as you have done. :thumb:
Then increase accordingly , or a light dusting over the entire surface on bigger pots.
Bokashi is fairly concentrated aswell.
But not as dense, so larger volumes but similar weights is appropriate.
Like sawdust and sand. Same weight different volumes.
And as I am want a little extra never hurt.;)

Hmm....curious Sensei....those look stretchy, and I see you have them supported. You obviously know how to not stretch a seedling, so I have to assume this is intentional, yes? Okay, so then what's your reasoning please?

Hey mucker :ciao:
I'm trying to do my best with not alot at the moment.
Cold days they are in the window with a 2 watt bulb.
Or laundry room or kitchen all without light.
I've got a couple great ones, but can't plug anything inside the house.
I took those pics on my phone.
But I needed them on my tablet to edit and label them.
So I posted them all here then screen shotted them with my tablet.
Then deleted them frm this post.
But I had to post something so I put up a pic.
So consequently I grew a bunch of bean poles.
Dollar store took care of that.
But thank you very much for busting me.
They are awful.
Check the post.
Take care.

Mycorrhizae

Screenshot_20220527-100001_Chrome.jpg

Filling the Pots
I start with Perilite on the bottom , sprinkle Bokashi, Frass and Mycorrhizae on each layer,.
Spray to activate

Then a inch or two of coco.
Perilite and repeat the process.
You want a good thick layer of Perilite between your coco/soil
Perlite layers between the coco keep it from compacting and gives roots an easy pathway to the exterior of the pot.

Screenshot_20220527-102931_Chrome.jpg

Screenshot_20220527-102938_Chrome.jpg

I add a couple inches of cocoon top of the Perilite.
Bokashi , frass , mycorrhizae sprinkled on each layer all the way to the top.
I spray with kelp water to activate everything.

Screenshot_20220527-103009_Chrome.jpg

Always sprinkle mycorrhizae directly on your roots.
Leave the plant just a 1/2" taller than the pot.

Screenshot_20220527-103020_Chrome.jpg

With the center higher water automatically goes to the outside of the pot.
Perfect for root growth and plant health.

Hey Stone :ciao:
I don't think I'll have enough room to pop them though.
Might need a bigger greenhouse, I probably have 25 going right now.
They will be handy come fall hopefully.
Hope your having a great day my friend.
