@Bill284, you know what that light is just screaming at you to do, right? It obviously wants you to grow an AUTO, in a 7, in coco, preferably an XL or Double XL, but any good genetics will do, and let the plant have that light entirely to itself. I mean, I can hear it from here!

Good morning Amigo.
I'd love to find out.
I want to plug it in so bad.
My girls are a bean poles , trying to find light.
Once I get everything running out back I can concentrate on building a grow room. :thumb:
Hope you had a great weekend. :ciao:

Stay safe

Btw - I was kidding, but there would be one GIGANTIC advantage to the idea I put forth. You wouldn't have to build a grow room or anything else, and you could get started IMMEDIATELY. All you have to do is find a 3x3 space, ANYWHERE, and a way to hang the light. Put a fan next door and a timer and you literally need nothing else to grow an auto. That is exactly what the Zkittlez rig consists of and I could set that up in a closet, a living room, even a bathroom - anywhere that gets indoor house environment will work fine for an auto all the time!
Edit: with that light especially! 300 watts?!! All for one plant!!! That's awesome and would give you fine buds!

Your a mind reader, hehe.
Let me get a room built and I'll show you some xxl's in coco.
I have a Medic Grow easy 8 1000 true watt led.:cheer:
Can you imagine 1 plant under that.
Not an auto though, sorry.
I want to control veg and build some monster's.
I can have fun now, instead of concentrating on massive production.
It was great, but left little time for experiments .

Mycorrhizae

Screenshot_20220527-100001_Chrome.jpg

Filling the Pots
I start with Perilite on the bottom , sprinkle Bokashi, Frass and Mycorrhizae on each layer,.
Spray to activate

Then a inch or two of coco.
Perilite and repeat the process.
You want a good thick layer of Perilite between your coco/soil
Perlite layers between the coco keep it from compacting and gives roots an easy pathway to the exterior of the pot.

Screenshot_20220527-102931_Chrome.jpg

Screenshot_20220527-102938_Chrome.jpg

I add a couple inches of cocoon top of the Perilite.
Bokashi , frass , mycorrhizae sprinkled on each layer all the way to the top.
I spray with kelp water to activate everything.

Screenshot_20220527-103009_Chrome.jpg

Always sprinkle mycorrhizae directly on your roots.
Leave the plant just a 1/2" taller than the pot.

Screenshot_20220527-103020_Chrome.jpg

With the center higher water automatically goes to the outside of the pot.
Perfect for root growth and plant health.

WOW, @Bill284, what a fabulous and very informative post!!! And a new primer on how you do your air pots!! Very cool. You end up with a lot more perlite than I do. Hmm....maybe I should up my concentration next time. That looks like the big stuff too, is it #3 or #4? Do you rinse it first to remove the dust, or just take it from the top of the bag and shake the pot like a lazy man (me) does? Lol. Also, can you talk just a little bit attached to the pot prep your activation methodology (what you water with to activate and when relative to planting a seed in it?)? That would help at least one person I'm familiar with (me again....), and likely others! Thanks Sensei, great post!!!

Hey @Jon :ciao:
You might have read it half way through.
I added some don't know if you saw the rest.
I use a spray bottle with kelp concentrate and B1 to activate the microbes and fungi.
What else did I miss?

Stay safe :thumb:

This was amazing! Thank you so very much Bill. Leave it to you to address a question and answer it in this manner. Perfect and much appreciated!

It took me a few runs to get this method perfected, well not perfect but pretty dam good.
You can use it in bags or plastic pots even solo cups.
It's simple to adapt into any grow and pretty much guarantees good root health.
I can't say it enough I grow roots and get a healthy plant as a reward.
Your ok obviously but new growers should try it asap.
I can't recommend it enough to anyone just starting out.
Easy and effective.

It's good quality, no need to wash.
But by the time I get to the bottom it's pretty dusty. ;)
