Pterostychus: The Never Ending Story, Now Jack Herer

day 51 - 10 days with pistils

i spotted some leafs that probably are suffering from the light aas it sat very close directly under the LED...
for the rest i havent seen any gnats in a while so i guess the few i killed was enough to stop their invasion hehe ....
humidity is still sky high at 76% ... .... on monday my filter kit should arrive then ill see if good airextraction can makea dent in that ...

yea... for me they can stop now heh ... i never expected to get such monsters ;)

Don't complain... It means a bountiful crop. I had a couple tall ones and I super cropped and wove into my scrog. Those colas ended up being my largest.

Or you could break out the bandaids ;).
i did pinch a few today and last night ... so raising would have been better but that would imply me ducttaping the LED to some crossbars all the way against the seiling and that would block my intake fans on the top of the LED ... so this is also a solution + it seems this way the outsides get more light

maybe but i just spent 150USD on a filtersystem which ive been saying for a year now i should get one lol ... and i should pay 840 on car insurance semestrial and 275 for the carloan and 1200 on the house every month ... so only once a month a can afford some small expences

sry no more pics tonight i did feed them after i skipped last night ... one change today i replaced the Power Roots additive for the Green sensations additive ... since that packs a lot of P/K i started at 50% recommended dose ...
I have found a low tech way to remove runoff with a sponge ;) but they didnt give runoff after a 1.5l feed .... tomorrow theyll get untill they give runoff ...probably at least another 1.5l ... i hope tomorrow my carbonfilter system arrives so i can see if a decent extraction helps with the humidity .... its still high at 75% ... when the filter removes the smell from the room then i can ventilate it not before as it blows cannabis smell through the entire house ... i tried

I have noticed that the focused intensity of LED lights tends to result in light stress directly under the light. To me, this makes moving the light an even more important consideration for LEDs than for HIDs, which tend to have better reflectors.

To deal with light stress in a limited headspace, I resorted to using two layers of window screen. This cut the intensity somewhat, but also reduced the overall amount of light reaching the plants, especially around the perimeter.

To me, this is a major issue with LEDs. And one that is best addressed with a light mover.

its because i have secondary lenses which projects most light in a cone ... ive had this issue (purple kush) before and back then the inclined angle of attack did work out good ... well see ... Hid tends to discharge more heat radiation thats why a cooled HID is best ... with leds its either distance or a mover as they emit solely monochromatic frequencies ... these photons can smach chloroplasts to shreds ( remember light is just the visible part of the radiation spectrum ... )

day 53 / 12 with pistils ...

plants seem to still do well they are seriously stinking up the place and i believe thats mainly due to high humidity ... but maybe the Hygro is off abit from reality as it is posed flat on the scrog and since the plants surpass that lvl by at least 10 inch its in the middle of the canopy in terms of height so ... anyway ...

enjoy the photodump ;) ps notice still the difference in leaf width ...
