Psychoactive Mushrooms & Cacti Discussion

What do you guys that grow in coco coir use for a brand?

My local (badass) hydroponics shop is out of Canna coco coir until 10/2 and there is no way I'm paying 3 times as much for it on the Zon. They do have Botanicare for about the same price as the Canna I think I'll try out.

Has anyone used either Canna or Botanicare coco? Is there something better than these or any to avoid? Seems like coco prices have gone up a lot online.

Update: They also have a 5kg brick of a brand called Plant!t Organic Coco Planting Mix for less than $10 I will go pick up tomorrow.
I used as advanced nutrients ph perfect trio grow micro bloom. Still learning but it's actually fairly easily. Make sure you pre rinse to flush out any ferts or salts . So ppm out tap for example is 160 ppm I take coco then run my tap water through soon as I get run off I kinda know now if heavy salts or not .dark water verse clear. But say you put that ppm meter in that run off water it says 1100 for example it means you got salts and ferts in there flush out or fry babies. Then you want to coco pre charge it with 1/4 dose nutes bit extra cal mag too so you don't get a deficiency later . Specially led .
I like rapid rooters to start myself then into the coco pot with bit Greta white shark or equivalent .. around hole at first transplant and every transplant.

Feed it less to start and see what happens .

I’ll try the Ecuadorian on Saturday see how that one works out.
Found it mellow for gram and bit I'll do two grams too blue meanies .

I was looking for my mycelium substrate. The Canna brand is pretty good from what I'm used to. A good mix of fine and some fibers without any sand or plastic in it. I'll probably buy one of the Plant!t/Grow!t and Botanicare to get me through to October when the Canna is back in stock. All 3 range from $9-12 for 10lb bricks at the store.

I just looked in on my grain bags and they are starting to colonize but on the top of one of them is Black/Blue mold and the other one looks dark around the injection port so it is looking like a Bust on those Dam it. I am going to see what they do in a couple days but I am thinking they are a Lost Cause. I will order two more Grain bags. I did it in an alcohol cleaned Still air box so I don't know what went wrong. I also heated the needle before injecting. Just my dam luck

Just to be sure with the new bags you order, let them sit for a week before inoculating. Make sure they aren't dirty.
These I had the bags for about a month or so before I used them to inject the bags. The bags were clean with NO spots or mold in them.

I’m guessing it was the syringe, once you flame sterilize squirt a small amount from the syringe to clear it.
I didnt do that Penny I forgot that step. So that is most likely the reason..... Dam it:oops:
