Thanks Shed. Is it true that regular seeds are undecided in terms of gender until around about a month old and that the environment can dictate the number of males or female you get? I've not heard that before. I did read somewhere that exposing the seeds to ethylene gas for some amount of time before germinating can increase the percentage of females.

@Smeegol did the banana peel trick as I believe nannas give off EG. He had no success if I'm correct.
I think I heard it from SweetSue, but I think it's all apocryphal evidence. Each regular seed is a coin flip.
