ProfessorFlora Presents: The Flowering Inferno

Cheers Rex.

Not tried a buddies box but I did just go and check them out. They look pretty cool. I could have done with one of those in the past. Now I find that getting it all out of the way in one punishing sitting is working the best for me lol.
Thanks Prof!
Actually- I use mine everyday :cheesygrinsmiley:. I take my flower, grind and dump it in, give a quick shake (drop a nickle in to really drop kief) open the lid and roll one up. Truth is what little bit that falls off is unnoticeable in the spliff. But....every week or two I'm rewarded with this:

I've been using vaporized weed to make edibles with and it works quite well. It's like hashcake-lite. Not the full experience but enough to take the edge off.

lol, I thought I'd try a Gif. Seemed like a good opportunity and it was easier than I imagined. No editorial skills required!
Hehe and now my secret is out :laughtwo:, its just a few clicks on a phone

Frenchy Cannoli :rip: did a hash tutorial on YouTube. He used the washer and it was still time consuming.
He used a frisbee inside of the inverted bag and pulled the bubble bag around it taut. It made a flat surface out if the bubble bag so he could scrape the hash off with a small knife.
He was considered the king of hash so I bet he had some great tips.
He's just a bit hard to understand on the vids due to his accent. I had to use the CC function so I could follow along.
I thought the frisbee looked like a really helpful tip.
It may help you in your future??

Thanks Prof!

Ah, I see. I misunderstood it's potential at first lol. Now that you've shown me that, it does look handy.

Don't worry. Your secrets safe with me.

Thanks VG. I tried it with a dinner plate before but couldn't grab hold of the edge properly. It kind of half worked but a frisbee has a curved in edge. It's like it was made for it lol. I'll do that next time which will be soon because there are the GSC coming up very soon.

Thanks for the lesson on bubble hash, Prof. I doubt I have the capability to stir hash for hours. I can't even make risotto because my arms get too sore.

We actually bought a press 2 winters' ago but I've only really been using it for squeezing the oil out of the buds when I make canna-infused oil. Maybe, now is the time to learn to make hash with it. I did save all my trim from my auto harvest. :reading420magazine:

It is certainly not the easiest to make and I appreciate that.
See , you have a press. I can't afford a press but if I could then I'm not sure that I would make hash as lovely as it. A press seems more convenient, cleaner and far more simple to operate. There is probably some something I'm missing but having a press seems like the way to go. The Mrs would kill me in the head if she found out that I bought a press lol.

For those who were wondering what I was talking about but couldn't picture it, skip ahead 19 mins.
Thanks for the vid, VG. His accent is like asmr to me lol.

Congrats on the harvests and cheers to the next round, the chef’s hat collection! Nice tutorial for the bubble bags. You nearly had me convinced to get a set, until you revealed how much arm work it is. ;)

No kidding!!

I fell asleep twice before I got through the vid.
I started watching it on Friday and have only just woke up. Just kidding! I spent a day out with the kids lol
Nice work on the tutorial and the graphics.
Cheers, Donkey. It was good fun making both. Perhaps we will see more GIFs in the future.
 and :bravo: Professor. Well constructed, presented, explained, and photographed. Bookmarked!
Cheers, Shed.

There were a few things in there which I could have explained a little better and a thing or two which I missed but I'm quite happy with it overall. I don't normally do tutorials and can get a little flustered especially with the kids swinging from my legs lol.
Congratz on the harvest Prof. No need to say that the bubble hash looks great as usual. Have fun smoking them brother :passitleft:
Thanks, TC. I think I'm getting better at this hash thing. This round seems to be of the best quality yet. It's not as gooey and generally has a better appearance. The flavour is dominated by the Orangesicle as that had the most trim but not too bad at all.

Lol. Mr H? Or get the washing machine. Staring at the washing machine in the video that VG put up was as therapeutic as Frenchy's voice. I'd probably fall asleep and all of the ice would melt.

Great to hear that Prof. I'm making some hand pressed hash these days. I'm collecting a very fine kief with a 30 micron mesh. Hand warmth is enough to cook these batches and the taste is heavenly. I miss the fine bubble hash but it is too much work for me these days. After this one, I'll stop growing for a while and I'm planning to make a huge hash stash, probably with some fine bubble and several other types of hast. Have fun melting your brain with these brother :passitleft:

Hey TC. How are you collecting the kief? I liked that screen that Rexer showed us last week but that would be no good for large amounts of trim. I was wondering about using dry ice with the bubble bags but that's new territory for me. Besides I probably won't be getting large amounts of trim for much longer. All depends on what happens after the move.

Here's a hash smiley to make you happy....

Forgot the nose....

Hey 420.

Well, we have finally reached the end of the inferno and instead of just letting it fizzle out I have (somehow) managed to organise 3 grow tents to all hit flower at the same time. That means we will have 37(?) flowering plants all at once. That is a new record to end the journal on as well. So let's see if I can remember what's occurring. Here's what we have.

2 Afghan landrace's
2 Double D's
8 Unknown Bag Seed Plants
4 Purple Urkle's
3 Orange Cane's
2 Girl Scout Cookies
4 BBTK
4 BBTK x WiFi OG
4 BBTK x Highbite
4 BBTK x Sunset Sherbet

I think that's everything lol. Here are some pics before this evening's harvest of GSC....

Here are the Purple Urkle's....

And here are the GSC, Orange Cane's and the indoor Double D's....

And here is the crazy pot with 16 plants in. These are all of the BBTK crosses....

I'm still having my morning coffee so I will go and see if the outdoor plants are still alive shortly. I know that the outdoor Double D's is doing well but I've not seen the others for a while. I know that the Afghan has pink pistils though which is something I should probably be taking pics of lol. Oh well.
So, we have a busy day of cleaning and rearranging in the grow room before we harvest the final indoor plants and get ready for the finale. Here is what I'm pulling later....

Time to go and get ready for this and by that I mean try to finish my coffee.
Have a great day everyone.

Lookin dank brother.

I'm collecting my kief with stuff like these;

These guys can separate the trim from 700g dried nugs. No hassle here. Just put the trim in the freezer and max the settings beforehand. You can also put the separators themselves to the freezer.

I like to add some dry ice which I obtain from an ice cream shop. They pack the ice cream for long road and therefore they can provide me with it. I use very small amounts of dry ice. I don't fill the container all the way up. Half way is good. Ice cube sized dry ice pieces would do great. I'm only using a handful of these pieces and shake the separator for 15-20 seconds because all the good stuff goes down pretty quick with the help of dry ice. Don't touch them without oven mitts or something else or it will frost burn your skin.

Hope these help. Keywords for such products are; pollenet-pollen shaker- kief extractor ....

Cheers, TC.

They look ideal. Parhaps in the future that will be a better route to take.
Looks like we'll be doing some more bubble soon though as there will be some more trim coming up this evening.

I was wondering if a flour sifter would work?

I was wondering if a flour sifter would work?
I guess. It all depends on how fine the mesh is. If it's too large then all the rubbish will end up in the final product. I know that the mesh on the sieve which I have is far to large but I'm sure that they make them finer.
