PotChimp's Side Projects

They run about $35/each but have some different models with different featurs/functions.

EDIT: Ooops...I might be a little late with that post!
:bong:

I saw a small model of theirs for 10 bucks, but I'd have to look at it to see if it'll shut power off on the high setting. I'd just hook one up to each timer, set it at 86 degrees F, and run the temp probes to each area I'm growing in.

Two Nevil's Haze plants:

Two Ghost Train Haze #1 plants:

Headbanger f2:

Mendocino Purple Kush:

If these LEDs work out okay, I could replace my other 250w MH with one and add another locker size unit; that way I could have two breeding areas, three veg areas, and three bloom areas. I really like these MH setups, though; hated to have to get rid of the one.

Cannabis Afghanica x Apollo 13 f2:

Apollo 13 f2:

A few shots of my Carnival plant. It has long branches, but they fill out pretty well:

My sense of smell is way off right now, but I would say it smells like either lime or pine..... :hmmmm:

I just top dressed both the Carnival and that Apollo 13 f2, something I've been forgetting to do with long blooming plants and I've been seeing it in the end results.
All I did with the portable air compressor was blow the lint and hairs around :cheesygrinsmiley: as you can tell from a few of those pics. I'm gonna use a vacuum instead when I get a chance.

Thanks :)
I stuck a piece of duct tape partly across the end of one passive air intake on one of my tents, and now all seven grow areas are within a few decimal places of each other (average 77.8 degrees F) :thedoubletake: It goes lower on cooler days or when the A/C is running.
Knowing how hairline all of this is, I really need to consider those temp shutoff devices. Damn near everything I have would get fried if my fan went out, except my t5 unit, which seems to stay around 78 degrees F regardless (I'll keep clones of what I want to preserve in there from now on).

You got a good Carnival pheno - looking forward to what you think of the produce. :bongrip:

It'll probably go as long as you want - easy 12 weeks - maybe 14 ... 2 foot colas ... :D

I'm past grey mold season, so two foot colas are more than welcome around these parts! There's three good colas and a smaller one along with it. I put it directly under the light about an hour ago because the bottom branches are so wimpy.

Tomorrow I'll be starting six regular Nevil's Haze x Apollo 13 f2 and six regular Apollo 13 f3 seeds.
:theband::headbanger::tommy:
I'm gonna start them under this new TS1000 and just go by seedling stretch to determine if the light needs lowered or raised. With the power turned down to 70%, I don't think the distances are going to be the same (at 100% power, the booklet calls for a 24" distance to seedlings). An oversimplified equation I did puts it at 16.8" under 70% power, but it doesn't take into account how light diminishes as distance decreases. At 70% power, those numbers they give on the charts would change too.... :hmmmm:

Any of you guys ever hear of a vault (maybe in the Arctic Circle?) where they keep seeds from all the plant species of the world? I think it's to preserve natural species to prevent extinction. Or maybe the seeds are to hybrid back to in case of a plant disease they can't do anything about. I wonder if they keep all the landrace marijuana strains.
If so, I wonder if they have any of the ol' Redbud seeds from back in the late 70s they'd sell a chimp.....

Maybe...

"Apart from thousands of seeds of various plants, Svalbard’s database reveals they are currently holding more than 21,500 cannabis seeds in the vault. Surprisingly, that’s more weed seeds than there are asparagus, blueberry or raspberry seeds currently being safeguarded at the facility. In fact, there are more marijuana genetics in the “Doomsday Seed Vault” than there are for artichoke, cranberry and pear combined."

Oops, I forgot that they may have created the vault to start life on Earth again..... :(
I've grown Ace Seeds Panama before, but it was a long time ago. I only remember that it didn't seem to live up to the legend status I created about it in my mind, just like when I grew Columbian Gold, Acapulco Gold, and Thai Stick.
I'm gonna click on that link, contact those folks, and ask them if they sell single seeds!

hope they got some good freebies.....

I've done these seeds twice and haven't smoked any of it yet
Legend of '91 (Chem '91 x OG Kush); second male of two plants grown:

I'm gonna have to experiment with my camera because LED is different than the CMH settings I've been using.

They gave out a buttload of freebies; SLH and Critical Kush were two of them, Humboldt's Chemdawg and a Do-Si-Dos cross were two more. Purple Wreck sounds interesting, as a matter of fact I was thinking of growing the Blackberry Trainwreck seeds I have stored away sometime this Summer.

I started 12 Apollo 13 f3 seeds instead of 6 because they all looked kind of pale. I'm sure they'll all open up, but I just wanted to be safe. The Nevil's Haze x Apollo 13 f2 seeds looked okay, so I'm only germinating 6 of them.

And I have 12 Chemdawg D BX3 plants that I have to repot tomorrow. I'll get pics up to show how bad looking they got in those small pots. I've got a little work to do, but I'll try to post some bud pics after; most of that bloom closet is close to harvest.
