Poor, CFL, Stealth, Maybe a Little Luck?

good you dont wanna be have all that moisture with the recent showing of Powdery Mildew around these threads!!!

well you should be able to tell if you got mites by the underside of the leaf.. you should see them, another give away are small webs

Your in the home stretch now, so IF you got em just manually kill em and dont spray shit on em

+ reps for good luck
Thanks man, I'll be checking for problems tomorrow morning.
Wow man. Impressive. Haven't stopped by in awhile. You've done a helluva job. I wasn't sure how well the boxes were gonna work but you did it. +reps
Thanks buddy, boxes are cheap and they seem to work well. I wouldn't use them w/ an HPS, but for poor man CFL I wouldn't do it any differently :peace:
I'm lovin the pink & white pistils!!!! :goodjob:
Ya I like them too. It's weird because they really are pink, not amber ;)

I'm flushing again right now. It surprised me how quickly the soil dried out, especially because it's been raining for the past 4 days. Hopefully this flush will stop the destruction. I've learned from this experience, and I think I know why the plants started reacting. Up until this point I had been feeding with every watering, so I was giving a full dosage of nutes every 3 days. I should have known it would build up. I'll be putting nutes in every other watering from now on.

As grown-ups, dare we admit to ourselves that we, too, have a collective immaturity of view? Dare we admit that our thoughts and behaviors spring from a belief that the world revolves around us? Apparently not. And the evidence abounds. Part the curtains of society's racial, ethnic, religious, national, and cultural conflicts, and you find the human ego turning the knobs and pulling the levers.:grinjoint:

Ah, Nova Science NOW. Good show and good reason to support public television.

i must say for being a "poor cfl stealth" grow, this journal is coming out pretty damn good.Nice nugs and 31 pages of comments.

GREAT JOB
:thanks:
I have tried to keep everyone coming back by being informative and posting lots of pics and updates. I love this site and I'm getting a lot of self satisfaction by doing this journal.

I sure do Sgt. White, Oct 10th. That would be the 63rd day of flowering, of course it can change if they're not ready.
Today is the 42nd day of flowering, so 3 more weeks until that day. I hope they start getting bigger like everyone says they will
I think I've stopped the PH issue, and I bought some Dolomite Lime. I sprinkled the lime on the top of the soil and I mixed in a tiny bit into what I fed my plants today.

For the first time in a long time I'm going to be breaking up the pics based on the individual plants lol. They're names are Elsie and Marie in case anyone has forgotten. Marie had standard LST done to her, and Elsie was topped & the 2 main branches were LST'd away from each other. Marie is 5 days younger from seed than Elsie, but throughout her entire life has grown at a quicker rate. Marie's pistils have also turned pink much faster than Elsie's.

Oh and sorry I got a little trigger happy with Elsie, so they're more pics of her than there are of Marie.
First here's a [blurry] pic of what they look like without flash.

Stuff I needed:
Water Bottle - $1
Lights - $15
Light fixture - $7
Boxes - $3
Soil - $10
Nutes (Perlite, lime & FFOF) - $25
Pots - $5
Total = $66

Stuff I got to help control the smell.
Carbon Aquarium filters - $7
Fabreez Carbon Fan + extra filters = $25
I'm going to buy some ONA Gel and see if that will work. So add $10 [EDIT: I just bought this for $4] So the total is $82.

Grand total = $88
[EDIT: I just bought the ONA Gel for $4] So the total is $82.
The smell right now is very noticeable, though I can keep it in my room if I have the door closed. I'd rate it as a 4. 10 would be if I just let the plants grow in the living room. I'm going to buy some ONA gel to try and take care of it.

Damn fine job!!! Great job for $88.00. Well after you get a final weight, you can see how much you got for free.n it looks slike a nice amount at that will be free. And the next few weeks are the most important out of the whole grow.are you going to flush for 1 or 2 weeks?

And as a side note DON'T FREAK OUT when the fan leafs turn yellow. This is normal late in the flowering stage.its the plant trying to use any nutes it has stored up to finish her life off.just wana give you a heads up before it happens.

But either way grow looks phenominal for cfl's.
